Specialties
El Camino Community Tavern is a green restaurant. We recycle all of our bottles, cans, and cardboard and we are 100% windpowered. We use as much local product as possible.
From our chiles to cerveza, we assure you that we are getting everything from as close to home as possible. During spring and summer, you can enjoy the freshest mint, cilantro, and basil grown right on our rooftop garden completely organically… We use all natural beef, chicken, and pork. We make our salsas, guacamole, green chile, tamales and deserts daily from scratch.
At El Camino we are a group of people who have made it our passion to provide guest with the best experience possible. We strive to surpass your expectations and make your day a little brighter. If we fail to do so, we want to know about it. As cliché as it sounds, we all genuinely care about everyone that stops by to visit us. Whether it is your first time or your 100th, we do our best to insure you have a memorable experience.
History
Established in 2008.
El Camino Community Tavern was established in November of 2008. We were originally swimclub 32 for the previous 5 years. What we came to realize is that we were not servicing the needs of our community and therefore El Camino Community Tavern was born. Our goal is simple. Offer locally sourced, fresh food made daily to our community with exceptional service in a non corporate creative and evolving environment that our community can be proud of and call their own. Be humble, thoughtful and kind and the rest will take care of itself. We aspire to make everyone’s lives a little better when they walk through our doors.
Meet the Business Owner
Grant G.
Business Owner
My name is Grant Gingerich and I am the owner of El Camino Community Tavern. I have lived in the Highlands for over 20 years and I call it home. El Camino Community Tavern’s success is due to the amazing staff that have dedicated their lives to making this Tavern their own. They are my family. My role is to take care of them, and in turn they do a wonderful job of taking care of me and the community. I am fortunate to be a part of a business with some incredibly talented individuals.
