Willson is a great guy the first time I went to him I had already gotten 5 different qoutes and he was $ 500 cheaper than all of them, he’s very honest if he doesn’t have to charge you when it’s minor work then he won’t totally recommend this man,

I have been to the El Cajon Smog Test and Repair a few times and will vouch that he Wilson is a trustworthy and honest mechanic. The work he has preformed on my vehicle is quality and professional. I am at the point now that i trust his quote without having to price check and do my homework. Wilson has ALWAYS quoted me the best price. Additionally, he is a kind and approachable person. As a customer who doesn’t know too much about cars, he has taken the time to explain, in layman terms, what the diagnosis is and what, and how much, it will take to correct the problem. I would definitely recommend Wilson’s service to others.

The service was amazing and very fast! We were looking for a place to just get the car serviced quickly at 7:30 as we were traveling out of town. The gentlemen here understands the urgency and he fitted us right in. Great service @ a fair price! Awesome job guys!

Honesty is most important when looking for a mechanic. Especially being a women and not knowing anything about cars. The owner is honest and will not try to get you for your money. I went to three mechanics the same day to get quotes and their prices were insanely high compared to this place. I am sure I found my go to man! This shop is a keeper! #1 mechanic. Go here first no where else.

Before I met Chris, my story was the unfortunate typical story of a women going to a mechanic only to get ripped off. Lucky for me I know enough about cars to know when I’m getting ripped off and lucky for me I came across Chris. Chris is so nice and honest. What he tells you is wrong, is whats wrong. I trust him 110% with a blindfold on walking on a tightrope. He is patient and will talk you through the problem while he shows you. I think I’ve known Chris for at least ten years and and I feel so blessed because of how trustworthy he is. I even send my kids to Chris. Thanks Chris!

I wish I could have given this place 0 stars. First off, this is the second time I have been there. They supposedly «fixed» my catalytic converter last year when I first moved to CA. Car passed smog and had to bring it back again this year. Same problem and replaced same catalytic converter. Worst part — there was an issue with my car, turned out to be fuel filter and starter, and I asked them if they could help me fix it (at time did not know the problem). They kept saying there was nothing wrong with my car, that it was running fine. Obviously not true, my car idled hard and «skipped.» When I picked it up my car was 500 times worse and stopped running within 3 minutes of driving it, starter went out. They still claimed it worked perfectly for them. Additionally, there were «bang» marks on my starter, apparently a known trick to get a car started when there is a starter issue, that they claim not to have done either. Well, they did not show up by themselves! My landlord says she has had problems with this place as well. VERY DISHONEST! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.

I have also known Chris for a few years. He has worked on all of my cars including one that was wrecked and he made it driveable again I live in south bay and drive to east county because there is no one else I would trust with my car, him and his team do amazing work and always in a timely fashion. And even when I show up on his busiest days he always find a way to fit me in.

I’ve had known Chris for a few years and the attention is superb. The repairs are done correct and in a timely manner. They are honest with costs and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Don’t look around anymore, if you want your car serviced correctly come to this place.
