El Segundo Station – Metro Green Line

The portal back home. When the sun is out, it’s nice. When the wind is blowing and the rain is falling, it’s not so nice.

This station is good because it’s very quiet, safe, and never crowded so you are guaranteed a seat when going towards norwalk, for me at least.

I used to use this station a lot. But then the sand people moved in, so I stopped using it.
Damn sand people, wheres obi wan kanobi when you need him.

pretty nice, but when i find the person thats been leaving big piles of poop near the stairway on the upper floor im going to throw him down the stairs.

This is actually a good station to get off on with your bike and ride to the beach bike strand. I chose this stop because there is a bike lane on both sides plus a nice trip thru downtown el segundo

This is a pretty decent station in terms of usability. The major entities near by are Los Angeles AFB and Raytheon, and I definitely see commuters use this station. For me, I have used it a few times to park overnight then take the train+shuttle to LAX. Can’t beat free parking and a $ 2.50 in roundtrip fares. My truck has always been ok and I see other nicer cars parked there overnight, but I did see shattered auto glass on the ground once, so take that for what it’s worth. I personally wouldn’t leave it too many nights in a row.
Structurally, it’s an elevated station with escalators and an elevator, and the platform is in the center.
