I absolutely Love the pizzas. The price is way more reasonable than all other pizza places nearby where you can build your own pizza. The size of the pizza is larger than that at Pizza rev. The people who work there are very nice and very helpful. They are not stingy on the portion of food they put on the pizza. My only complaint is that there are not more.

This place rocks! The food taste, price, and environment is best around. Make your own pizza place, and it was so good I end up ordering for my entire employees for lunch, 30 of them. Everyone loved it and we will do this again! Thanks, Ugly Pie Co!

Good place, not that much different than Pieology, Blaze Pizza or similar build your own pizza places. However, Ugly Pie is considerably greasier. Now that Blaze Pizza is open a couple miles away, that’s a much better option.

I’ve been to a few other create your own pizza places. I have to say I really enjoy the Ugly Pie Co. Menu is simple and delicious. Easy to order. Either you can create your own pizza or choose from several options like cheeseburger pizza to margherita pizza to BBQ chicken pizza. I prefer create my own pizza. You can choose the type of dough(gluten free is an option) Next you can select the type of sauce. I choose mix sauces, my favorite combination is marinara and Alfredo sauce. Meat eaters options: meatball, bacon, chicken, sausage, pepperoni to name a few. Veggie options: mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes, olives, basil, onion… you can add garlic, crushed peppers and parmesan cheese. Service: friendly and nice staff.

I had one with pepperonis, chicken, extra mushrooms, jalapeños with some pesto sauce on top and that pesto sauce makes all the difference! Best do-it-yourself pizza I’ve had!

There are a lot of make your own pizza places out now, but I really do like this one. The staff consist of a bunch of cool, friendly guys and they do a good job putting the toppings on the pizza. You can either create your own, which is a flat price of $ 9.25 with as many toppings as you would like, or you can choose from one of their pre-designed pizzas(and you can add any extra toppings to that, no charge). I like that concept. From ordering to finish, it takes probably no more than 10 min; the pies cook up fast. There’s a parking lot shared with a 7-eleven and Farmer Boys; I’ve always been able to find spot.

Decent design-your-own pizza with the same concept as Blaze and Pielogy where you choose your ingredients. The lunch lines are long in this area. Didn’t seem that clean which made me a little cautious.

This used to be my goto place … the more I go there, I see it going down hill. It started with a couple visits with five employees behind the counter, but only one working, resulting in the line building up. Anyways, this last visit was by far the most disappointing. No one’s in there and it takes a few minutes to get recognized as a customer. I state my order and am then re-asked my order a minute later. This is when it went downhill, it looked like«trainees» we’re making the pizzas … they kept looking at the large billboard menu in order to see what was on each pizza. Sadly they didn’t even know how to make a pizza, all of the condiments were piled on in the middle without even distribution. Not to mention they forgot a couple of items I had specifically added on, as well as added on the items I had asked them to take off. As they cooked my pizza I finally realized that the«wood fire» grill has a fake wood display and is actually a regular oven. Even worse, once my pizza was done they forgot to cut my pizza, I returned to have them cut it. Now at the table, looking at my pizza, I realize the cut marks are weak and do not penetrate through the rock hard frozen dough slab of crust they use. I ate my pizza with a fork and knife … can’t say I’ll be back anytime soon.

Surprisingly not bad. Affordable. Decent crust. Quick. Not what I expected. I got a build your own with beef, mushrooms, onions, red sauce and added an egg. Wish they left the egg runny. But still good.

Granted I have only been once, on a Saturday right when they opened, but the staff was super friendly and helpful, Pizza was terrific, and tasted great. Gastropub atmosphere, without the alcohol though. In a pretty random location in the business part of El Segundo. Tip: for the make your own pizza, that includes as many toppings as you want. Only a few select items cost extra. The pizza crusts are very thin so if you’re a big fan of deep dish, this is not for you.

My husband wanted me to try out this place so we went this evening. The pizza was good. We had a half chicken basil with garlic sauce and sun dried tomato and BBQ chicken and shared Caesar salad. The pizza was good and it didn’t take long to prepare. I would go back.

I came by with few friends to grab some pizza while in the area. It’s been about six months since I visited last time and looks like they made some improvements. Pizza quality is much better, staffs are friendlier, and the store is cleaner. I think I can confidently recommend this hidden gem in El Segundo. Now, if they can expand their dessert selection and maybe offer draft beer to go along with their pizza …

A weekly staple in my lunch régime at work! It’s like chipotle meets Pizza with the assembly line style ordering! Any amount of meat and veggie topping combo for 9.99 how can you beat that?! Also for a lighter style pizza you can get them to make you a Cesar Salad pizza which ended up becoming one of my favorites! Oh and egg on your pizza! Yes please! The staff here are always great, friendly and helpful and always willing to go with any crazy concoction my co workers or I come up with.

Another excellent create your own pizza place! The location is kind of odd in an industrial area, but the place is new, super clean and the staff beyond gracious and friendly! Huge selection of toppings, we went with create your own pizzas and I created my own salad as well. Great toppings, high quality, pizza was done by the time I got done paying. Not busy at all(thinking due to location) and the taste and prices were great! I hope they do as well as the others, we had a really good lunch here and I would come back when I am in the LAX area again!

I’ve never had an egg on my pizza before and I found that I love it! I was a little skeptical when the lady cracked the egg smack dab in the middle of the pizza pie and everything oozed in different directions, but it was one of the yummiest pizza creations I’ve ever put in my mouth. Our experience at Ugly Pie started with the crazy enthusiastic lady who works behind the counter. This lady would make Tony Robbins look chill. She was amped! We hadn’t had breakfast yet so the bacon and egg pizza appealed to us. We added a few other toppings: sausage, mushrooms, pineapple, sundried tomatoes, jalapeño and it already came with corn and green onion. Since we split the pizza I added more toppings than I normally would just to try n get the most food for my belly. Hey it’s unlimited toppings! My combo was fantastic! Savory and sweet with the sundried tomatoes and pineapple. We also dipped it in a pesto sauce. The lady working behind the counter was hilarious to watch. We had arrived right before the lunch crowd but as the customers from the surrounding businesses arrived for their lunch hour she gave her staff a pep talk to prep them for the incoming madness. Wooo, it got busy! Thanks for the good eats Ugly Pie. You’ve got a great team leader with the crazy amp’d lady. Your business is in excellent hands. She delivers great customer service, with lots of energy, and leads the team into battle well.

Despite it’s naughty name, you’ll find beauty at Ugly Pie Company … beautiful custom pizzas. Since ugly is in the eye of the beholder, you’ll have no problem creating your own beauty with unlimited toppings on a thin 11-inch crust. U. G. L. Y. You one ugly pie. Y. U. M. The pizzas at Ugly Pie Company are fast-fired, fast-food pies meant for immediate consumption. They have plenty of pizza recommendations like BBQ Chicken, Very Cheesy, Pear Gorgonzola, or Prosciutto & Arugula if you aren’t sure what you want … but the fun at Ugly Pie is pointing and choosing from the six sauces and dozens of toppings. My beautiful pizza was Bacon, Egg, Jalapeño with Garlic Butter Sauce. Ugly never tasted so good. With neighborly(like way friendly) service behind the counter, free parking, and options for dine-in or to-go, there really isn’t any reason not to visit Ugly Pie Company for a quick and customized beautiful pizza. This is the year of #nomakeup and #uglyselfie … and now it is the year of #uglypie in El Segundo. U.G.L.Y. You ain’t got no alibi U ugly, eh hey, U ugly! U.G.L.Y. You ain’t got no alibi U ugly, eh hey, U ugly!

I think this concept has run its course and needs to go the way of salad bar restaurants. I am too biased by NYC thin crust and get my arms around eating a par-baked dough, but the ingredients looked fresh and I felt bad for the employees who didn’t have a proper ladle for spreading sauce around the dough. The reason why par baked dough is horrible, is that it comes out like a dry stale cracker. I guess to get a 5 minute pizza you gotta sacrifice something. At least the person who made my pizza and the cashier were nice, but I don’t plan on going to one of these style of pizza places ever again.

Unlimited Topping 11″ Pizza. Located across from Raytheon, it is probably used frequently at lunch time, but at 5pm on a Wednesday, it was empty. Three workers on duty, one appeared to be an overly cautious new employee, one was more interested in talking on his iPhone and the last appeared to be a manager, trying to learn patience. Ordered an unlimited topping pizza, $ 9 after taxes. It of course was spectacular, because it had all the ingredients that I like. BUT, why would I come back? PizzaRev is .5 miles away, with exactly the same concept, AND they serve a 11″ pizza for $ 8. Even with our price of gas, it is cheaper for me to drive over there. They are also not as frugal with their ingredients.

I’ve had pie all over the world. From New York to Milan, from London to Japan. I’ve had Mile High pie, and pie in the middle of the ocean. I know my pie. I’ve been blessed with amazing pie, and cursed with poor pie… if I’m starving enough even mediocre pie is good pie. You see, I am a mother-eff’ing pie master… I got my technique down and all… don’t even be spilling no toppings. As a pie super-spy I can sniff out pie in all kinds of places. Any pie ninja worth his sauce can handle it hot, handle it deep, and even dig it if it’s funky. A good pie should have body, a wide range of flavor, and should excite the mouth in more ways than one… a pie doesn’t have to be pretty… as this place says, it can be ugly… but for gottdamned straight that pie better be tasty, finger-licking, tongue-poppin good… or I’m gonna tell the world you got nappy pie. So why is this a TWO star experience… here goes: — My pie was burned to hell around the edges, but the toppings and middle ground were cold, mushy, and uncooked. Ya’ll fools need to learn how to use your new oven. — Only one employee smiled, or even looked up at me. If you’re making a «made-to-order» hand crafted pie people better be engaging with the customers. Smile, be excited… this person is about to chow down on pie for god’s sake get them greased up and ready!!! — No fresh crushed red pepper… only food service packets of old stuff. Any decent pie slingers need fresh pepper and parmesan grinders. — Put on the menu what is extra versus standard on create-your-own. Many of the things I wanted were $ 1 or $ 2 extra, but I wanted a $ 10 lunch, not $ 18-$ 20…just wasn’t in the mood for expensive pie… there are days you want cheap, hot, satisfying pie… and I was left wanting something else. Now…there was a decent amount of good to this pie too: — Plenty of prearranged options on the menu and few salads… so prob worth it to go back and try something else. — Create your own there’s endless options for toppings and sauces. Two kinds of crust(regular thin, and gluten free). — New place. New space. New oven. New staff. New on everything… prob needs time to work out the kinks, train up the pups, and learn where to put stuff in that neat-o oven. — Concept of fast food create your own pizza is growing… got that Pizza Rev like feel to it… but seemed a little less corporate and more mom and pop. — I got a hearty(big) lunch for under $ 10…which is tough in LA(or anywhere these days). — The one employee that smile was pleasant, I think her badge said Shannon… she was at the beginning of the ordering line and sort-of explained the concept to me… but then a few others took over that didn’t want to be there and did not know how to make eye contact.(sure I’m about to eat your pie, but my eyes are up here!) Bottom line is that no man wants mushy and cold pie. Hot and wet, yes. Disappointing… no. You better keep that sh*t tight, because the pie game will run you out of town. Now, any pie can have a bad day… so uhhhhh, baby I’ll call you… Promise… ;-)

Great place! The store is bright and clean. The pizzas were pretty good. It’s very similar to Blaze Pizza and PizzaRev. What I like about Ugly Pie compared to PizzaRev is that they have egg as one of their toppings for the specialty pizza. That and their bacon is much better. It tastes like bacon instead of. the microwaved rubbery bacon PizzaRev has. Service was pretty good, and the wait wasn’t too long to get your pizza. There’s less toppings here compared to PizzaRev, but that’s fine. There are a lot more sauces you can get. Also, there are no dessert pizzas here. Parking: They have a lot that’s shared with Farmer Boys and 7-Eleven. There usually isn’t a problem finding parking there.
