History

Established in 1993.

Master Jeweler Rick Watkins and his wife, Certified GIA Gemologist Pj Watkins, operated their first Jewelry store «Shadowridge Country Jewelers» in Shadowridge, CA. Years after, relocated to El Camino Real in Encinitas and renamed the store Town & Country Jewelers. The family business chose to downsize from their large jewelry store, to a quaint jewelry design and repair studio along with an array of rare fine vintage and antique consignment jewelry, called Encinitas Custom Jewelers. Located in the same center as previous store Town & Country Jewelers off El Camino Real, exit Manchester off the 5 freeway. All custom designs, repairs, etc, are completed in studio by Rick Watkins. Store is operated by Rick, PJ Watkins, and his daughters. Lovingly family owned and operated since 1993.

Business Owner

Rick is the sole master jeweler and business owner of Encintas Custom Jewelers. All custom work, repairs, and designs are completed locally by Rick. Rick has been a jeweler since 1978. He specializes in custom jewelery, including handmade one of a kind wedding rings, bracelets, pendants, etc. He also is expert in all forms of jewelry repairs, including antique jewelry restorations. You may notice that our store hours are not traditional, reason being Rick does all work by hand using old style traditional techniques. Thursdays are designated for appointment only, allowing customers to be able to sit down with Rick, uninterupted, to design a custom piece especially for you or to shop for a diamond specifically ordered for you, etc. To schedgule an appointment, you may stop in during our business hours, or call at least 24 hours before desired appointment.
