I have been a professional numismatist since 1981. In 1991 I published my landmark book, «Cameo and Brilliant Proof Coinage Of The 1950 to 1970 Era». Upon publication of my book, I met with the president of PCGS David Hall to discuss developing a CAMEO and DEEP CAMEO designation for U, S, proof coins. In January of 1992 standards for CAMEO and DEEP CAMEO proof coins were formally approved at PCGS, and these designations first appeared on proof coins beginning in February 1992. NGC followed suit, initiating an ULTRA CAMEO designation for proof coins with the heaviest possible cameo contrast.

n 2011 my 4^th book was released by Whitman Publications. «A Guide Book of Franklin and Kennedy Half Dollars» featuring a date-​by-​date analysis of each series, along with color photos of the finest known examples from each series for each date which recieved the Numismatic Literary Guild’s annual «Extraordinary Merit» award. I currently host a TV show on Art and Coin tv.
