Just booked Jackie for an airbrush makeup session for my family photo shoot. She worked her magic again and transformed this tired mommy of two babies to a goddess. Heeeheehee. I can’t stop telling everyone how wonderful she is. She’s very professional yet fun to talk to. She totally gets the look you’re trying to achieve, and never minds if you want to change it. She came to my home and worked with me even when my babies were crying around her. She is my go to makeup artist, I truly won’t trust anyone else!

I absolutely LOVE Jackie! She is amazing. I contacted her because someone I originally had booked for hair and make up cancelled on me 2 weeks before my dads wedding. I didn’t think I could find anyone with such short notice BUT I did and it was the best thing that could of happen. I loved how my hair and make up looked and all night people were asking me who did my hair, it was gorgeous. The airbrush make up was flawless and Jackie is a total sweetheart. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to look beautiful for any occasion.

If I could give Jackie 10 million stars, I would! I was sooooo lucky to find Jackie only a few months before my destination wedding on 8÷2÷14 in Rosarito, Mexico! She also drove to LA for my hair/​make-​up trial and was understanding when we had to change the date.
I met her a couple days before the wedding to do mink eyelashes and spray tan, which both turned out amazing. She arrived to my hotel on the day of the wedding in Rosarito promptly on time and ready to go. She plowed through all 3 of our scheduled people for hair and airbrush make-​up (which everyone raved about). She even did eyelashes on a couple of my other friends who were admiring mine!
I don’t know anyone else who would’ve ventured into Mexico for work, but she did it with the utmost professionalism and enthusiasm. Thank you, Jackie, for everything! You’re the best!

Jackie is amazing! She did my hair and make-​up for my engagement shoot and wedding day and I loved both! She has an amazing personality and instantly makes you feel comfortable. On a business stand point she is very professional and easy to contact when needed. Jackie saved the day for my wedding as I was having my wedding in Santa Barbara and was striking out finding a local hair and makeup person i liked that was available. She called after the engagement shoot and offered to come up to Santa Barbara to do my hair and make-​up if I was still having a hard time finding someone. Best decision I made! I had the pleasure of working with Jackie for my engagement photo session. I used that opportunity for a hair trial since I booked a make-​up artist months before. Anyway, Jackie came to my house to do both my hair and makeup. I absolutely loved both!
Prior to our meeting she called and sent me follow up emails to gather information about what I envisioned for my wedding day. I sent her pictures and she brought those with her when we met. She did my hair exactly how I want it for my wedding day! The makeup was of a soft style because that was the look for my engagement photos. Well, it was lovely and I got a lot of compliments, even from my dad, whom I saw later that day and who has never liked me wearing too much makeup. Anyway, my fiancé loved both the hair and makeup.
I wasn’t able to book her because she had committed to do another wedding on my wedding day. She did offer some options and did her best to accommodate my needs. I really wish she had been available but I was very happy with how I looked in my photos. Ladies, it is true what people say about vendors: the good ones book up fast!

She’s pretty expensive, and sometimes I felt like she put her business (the earning money part) above customer service. Perhaps that’s the way to go, but I wasn’t as used to it. I was slightly upset that she seemed to have misunderstood me when I asked if she wanted to travel with me from the hotel to the venue (which are within walking distance of each other); she told me relocating would be an extra fee. I was just wondering if she’d like to see the venue since she told me she’s never been there before! =/​
Otherwise, she’s quite sweet too. I think she did a lighter makeup on the day of the wedding compared to on my trial day. However, it all worked out. It was hard to tell if I even had makeup on, but it helped with covering blemishes and stuff. I got a lot of compliments from my friends that I was one of the most natural-​looking bride ever! That was pretty neat to hear.
I appreciated that she was willing to work with things like my eyeliner smudging after the trial. Because of that, she ended up using Urban Decay Eyeliner instead of the other one. I also appreciate that she was really helpful and gave me some tips in regards to lipliner and stuff that she liked on me. I don’t use makeup a lot and don’t have that money/​interest to really invest in that, so it was really nice to get pointer for what styles I could use.

Jacqueline was extremely friendly, on time, and made everyone look absolutely amazing on my wedding day. I would and have recommended her to other brides.

Jellis Faces is a dream team to work with. From start to finish, Jacqueline personally takes care of each individual client and ensures the utmost level of service and care. Her hair and makeup artistry are top-​notch and her demeanor is nothing but pleasant and professional. Just stellar. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The bride was absolutely glowing and flawless! Her hair was a perfect compliment to her dress and her personality!

Jackie is an amazingly talented artist! Every time I’ve worked with her I’ve noticed the special attention she gives to always make you feel like you are her most important client. She has the ability to listen to your ideas, look at the photos you bring and then translate them into a look that works just for you. Can’t recommend her enough to future brides!

I have been so stinking lazy about finishing my review of Jellis Faces, but I finally figured that it’s not helping the ladies that are in need of a spectacular makeup and hair artist like Jackie.
I found Jackie through Unilocal and used the stellar review by Brinda J (thanks, Brinda!) as a good indicator that Jellis Faces might work for me. I’m a lighter-​skinned Indian gal with skin tone that is often difficult to match without looking too dark or ashy. Brinda highly recommended her and was kind enough to post some great pics of herself looking all gorgeous, and that was enough for me to schedule a hair and makeup trial with Jackie for my upcoming wedding in Carlsbad. Plus Jackie uses more natural makeup brands, airbrushes on the makeup for a better look, and charges a really reasonable rate.
Having never had my makeup done by a pro before, I was hesitant and nervous of looking like a dragged out version of myself, let alone having big, hideous hair. What can I say? Though I may be a Jersey girl, the vision of such atrocities still terrifies me.
I scheduled my trial with Jackie (and used a great Unilocal deal to boot!), and found her to be professional and very talented. I expressed to her my concerns about makeup brands since I have some chemical sensitivities as well as allergies to fragrances. Jackie answered all my questions thoroughly and even told me ahead of time that she uses a cruelty and fragrance-​free brand called Beauty Without Cruelty in her airbrush. Score! I ended up bringing my own hairspray for fear of fragrance (it really bothers me), and that worked out great, too.
Jackie did an amazing job of matching the foundation to my skin perfectly and listening to my requests about wanting to look not «made up». And she did a spectacular job with my hair, too.
On my wedding day, Jackie arrived right on time (or maybe it was even early?) and was right on the ball from the moment she walked through the door. She airbrushed foundation on my mom (which turned out great) and then proceeded to work on me. Having kept detailed notes, including photos, she knew exactly what I wanted in terms of hair and makeup. She was even able to completely cover a newly acquired and very obvious scar on my forehead caused by my one nutty cat, making it invisible for hours.
Jackie was friendly, sweet, and very open to any suggestions, and I am so happy I used her. I looked natural and like myself, without even a hint of Jersey Shore. The wedding pics don’t lie, and if I do say so myself, I look pretty damn good! ;)

Jackie was great to work with, and did a very good job for me, my bridesmaids and mother in law for my wedding. She was easy to work with, and helped me find the right look with two trials before the wedding. On the day of the wedding she was early which was helpful as the schedule was constantly being readjusted. Jackie was very nice and reasonably priced, and she didn’t charge us for travel fee from Encinitas to La Jolla which I appreciated. I definitely recommend Jackie and will be calling her for future special events!

Jackie is super friendly and awesome! Her prices are great. My bridesmaids and I couldn’t be happier with how our hair and makeup turned out! I can’t say one bad thing about Jackie. She was professional and so easy to talk to! If you want no stress on the day of your wedding, go with Jackie because she will make your vision come true!

I believe I originally found Jackie on Craigslist for my daughter’s senior prom a couple years ago. She was amazing! She came to our home and did my daughters hair and makeup. Airbrush makeup and an up-​do with extensions.
When my daughter came downstairs, we all gasped because she looked like a movie star! Jackie’s work is extraordinary.
I kept her contact info for any special events I needed to go to.
Well just this past September, I had her do my bridal/​wedding party.
She has such an amazing talent that brings out all the best features in someone’s look, but with a natural glow. My daughters who were in the wedding party looked so beautiful without over doing it.
I can’t say enough about her work, professionalism and kindness.

I will preface this review by saying Jackie is very sweet and always responded to my questions in a timely manner. I was very excited for her to do my hair/​makeup for my pre-​wedding event, but she CANCELLED on me 9 days before my event. I had a contact signed, and a 200 deposit already sent. Granted she provided me with an assistant of hers, but I was very specific in what I wanted. As an Indian bride, I wanted someone who has done an indian wedding before (which drew me to Jackie in the first place) I got married in April, but had my hair/​makeup artists set by August because I wanted everything finalized and perfect.
I don’t want ANY BRIDE to go through what I did on that terrible day. There was no way I could find an artist who did airbrush make up PLUS who worked on an Indian bride. You go into complete panic mode at that point. I guess a deposit, and a contract doesn’t mean much to Jackie. Her son’s bday was more important to her than her work. I have never wrote a negative review about anyone, but I would like others to know how I was treated. As a side note, she did give back my deposit and told me to contact Unilocal to get my Unilocal deal refunded. If you are looking for someone who is dependable, I am sorry to say I don’t think she is the one. Your wedding is your biggest day, you have so many things on your mind, you would hope your makeup/​hair artist who you booked in SEPTEMBER would be there for you and never cancel.

I booked my trial run with her and used the hair and make up for my engagement shoot afterwards. I was in very hot and humid weather (it just happend to be around 95 degress that day). I also when to the beach where it didn’t even get any cooler but just more humid. Had an 11am appt with her, make up and hair lasted through the entire ordeal and was still in tact at 8:30 at night.
The day of wedding, Jackie arrived about 15 minute early. She text me since I wasn’t there yet. She did a wonderful job on my bridesmaid’s make-​up and, yet again, did a great job on my hair and make up. She is just so sweet and wonderful to work with. You definitely feel like she’s just «one of the girls». Communication was great throughout those 2 months… you emailed her, she responded in a very timely manner. I would recommend her to others. Thanks Jackie! You’re amazing!

Jackie was the choice for our bridal/​wedding party. My sister in law found her thru a friend who also utilized her services. I was invited for the trial and we went to Jackie’s house.
Prior to the trial, I had printed out some pics of how I envisioned my hair and makeup to be. The trial took about an hour per person with consultation, makeup and hair. Jackie was professional, friendly and super sweet.
The airbrush makeup was definitely the best way to go given the all day event. We loved how our hair came out as well. Jackie took detailed notes and pictures for the wedding morning. We opted to utilize her services for 8 of us.
Wedding morning we all met up at a resort for our scheduled appointment times. Jackie brought an assistant with her to help out since we had a big party.
My hair and makeup was done by the assistant, which I was apprehensive about. My hair style for the wedding was a bit different, but it worked and came out good.
My airbrush makeup, IMO, wasn’t as polished as when Jackie did it for the trial. During the trial, Jackie spent a little more time on ensuring that all my wrinkles and blemishes were well hidden. For the wedding, I felt that the shade of the airbrush makeup was a tad darker and I still had a blemish that wasn’t covered well enough. At the end, I had to ask Jackie for additional coverup, and I even used some of my MAC powder to try to cover the blemish a bit more.
Overall, everything turned out well, but I would have been more comfortable had Jackie did my hair and makeup on wedding morning. She did a fabulous job on my sister in law. In fact, Jackie did better then the trial run and my sister in law was happy and looked gorgeous on her wedding day!

Jackie did an amazing job on my make up. It’s feels great to be pamper on your wedding day. The hairbrush foundation was awesome and best of all, even though I tear up sometimes, my makeup didn’t got ruin.

Jackie is a true professional. I contacted her to do a hair/​makeup trial for my upcoming wedding and met with her in her home for our practice. Everything was scheduled via email and my deposit was paid through paypal which was über-​convenient. I LOVE it when small businesses are responsive to emails!
She has a great personality and really loves her work.
