Business Owner

Sam Rogers started painting in 1988 while taking a summer job for a sign painter in his home town in Great Falls, Montana. He continued painting interiors and exteriors during the summers to pay tuition for college. Sam taught high school for several years until he decided what he wanted to do was start a painting company that did jobs from start to finish with integrity and honesty. SR Painting was established in 2000 and has been painting San Diego for over ten years!

Sam’s integrity is exemplary. He is punctual, honest, competent, nimble and creative. He and his crew tackled multiple complex paint projects in two houses and did a spectacular job. I highly recommend Sam!

Overall, a great experience. Sam, the owner, scheduled a specific time to come bid my job. There was no 2 hour window to wait around for him. Very polite, friendly, likable guy. Bid came promptly the next day.
I got quite a price range from the 3 bids I received. Sam’s was the only bid that offered to do 2 coats of paint on the house trim that received sun exposure. It was also one of the most price competitive. Definitely make sure one of your bids is from Sam. I suspect it will be one of your top contenders.
My job was painting the trim on my home. One of Sam’s team member’s, Carlos, came by on a Wednesday to power wash the house. Then a 2 man team consisting of Carlos & Chris painted the trim, finishing Friday afternoon.
Admittedly, Carlos mentioned there was at least one spot that needed more primer (a result of some bird poop that I guess must not have been completely power washed away) so he’d need to be back. I found a few other things that needed to be addressed like errant paint on my patio & errant paint on some of my roof tiles. So on Monday, Carlos came back and addressed my concerns.
I also received a thank you card in the mail for my business.

Sam’s crew (Jesus and Umberto) did a great job painting a stairwell for us.
Sam fit us into his schedule in a reasonable amount of time. 2 other companies I called never returned my messages at all. He was able to give me a quote after texting him some pictures.
The painting crew were timely, clean, and very friendly. I’m very picky, and I was pleased with their work.

Working with Sam and his crew was a true pleasure. There was none of the expected hassles; people being late, not doing the job right the first time, or leaving a mess. SR Painting did a great job painting my small rental apt a year and a half ago. The renters left the place clean but the paint on the closet doors was peeling. I thought it was poorly prepared surface and, almost to my surprise, Justin, one of Sam’s painters, agreed! He quickly repaired the problem and the paint looks perfect again. No hassle, no fuss, just did it! I highly recommend SR Painting for any painting needs.

This is the first review on Unilocal for Sam because he has always worked by word of mouth, he needs no advertising. Sam and his guys earned every bit of these 5 stars.
I needed some popcorn ceiling removed and re-​textured for a rental. Sam came out when I needed him to and we worked together to come up with a plan and a price that worked for me. He by far had the best quote yet. His guys were ALWAYS there when he said they would be and their work is fantastic. When his guys noticed that some of the work done by the previous owner was not done right, he called me immediately and worked with me to get it fixed and at a price that was more than fair. I could not be happier with the finished product and with the relationship Sam and I have formed.
I plan on using Sam and his guys whenever I need painting done in the future.
