I chose this place because of the great reviews and they did not dissapoint. The tailoring here is impeccable. We did 6 suits and all of them look amazing.

International Custom Taylors are everything one could ever ask for in a tailor. Not only are they amazingly skilled at their craft, but they are the nicest, most generous people overall. They have done the standard suit alterations for me over the years, but additionally, from time to time, I have presented them with costumes and non conventional outfits which they have perfectly altered. Its not very often someone meets tailors who are skilled, reasonably priced and very kind to boot! Kenny and Kiran possess all of these qualities and more. Trust me, they are the last tailors you will ever use.

A bit more of a drive from my home near downtown LA but still 100% worth the drive. I challenge you to find a better tailor for men’s clothing. We had custom tailors sent in from Zegna and John Varvatos to tailor our suits, here’s where I bring them to get them fixed. Kenny is THE man!
…and we haven’t even talked price. What a deal, even compared to the garmentoes in DTLA. Great value, not just great work!

If you’re a customer of International Custom Tailors in Studio City, this is that store. They have moved. They are now in Encino, near Balboa. That’s what has changed; here’s what hasn’t changed: the work is still the best I have ever had! It’s hard to find clothes that fit off the rack, and Kenny and Kiran have helped to keep me from looking like a kid wearing his dad’s suit many times over.

Really kind people here– and they did such a great job with some of my most delicate pieces. Did I mention they are so reasonably priced? Living in Santa Monica, I actually drive all the way to Encino for my alterations, because there is nothing even comparable in west LA

I am relatively a new client of International Custom Tailors, but my girlfriend has been going to them for over 10 years.
I would never call them good tailors. After my initial experience with them, having a very expensive suit altered, the only thing I can say about them, is that of all the tailors I have ever used during my lifetime, they are definitely the grandmasters of them all. What a privilege for me to have them do my alterations. And I now know why my girlfriend has been using them for over 10 years. But more important than that, is that this husband and wife team are two of the most incredible human beings one could ever want to know. Ethics, honesty and passion for their craft is what these two individuals are all about.
About a month ago my girlfriend took a blazer to be altered, only to receive a phone call three days later that they found a piece of jewelry in the lining of her blazer. Some people would have probably kept it.
I am ever so thankful to have met and know this wonderful couple.

This incident happened about 5 months ago, and it still bugs me. Customer service I received was horrible.
I brought in my $ 200 jeans to get altered. When I picked them up, they were uneven and stitching was bad. I informed the lady that helped me. She instantly asked me if I wanted my money back. Umm, can you at least offer to fix it for me? She even got mad at me. Sigh.

I have been bringing my alterations to this wonderful, friendly, and very reasonably priced mom and pop shop for seven years now. I found them in their original Studio City location, & I have now followed them into their Encino location, which says a lot because the added inconvenience is so worth it. I have done everything from getting jeans hemmed (original as well as regular) to getting my husband’s suits altered. Kenny is so knowledgeable and I always take his advice about how a piece of clothing should fit. Not only do they do great work for great prices, but they are warm, lovely people. I will be a faithful customer for a very long time.
P. s. they take cash or check only. There is street parking but there is also free parking in the back. Look for the tiny driveway just a few feet down from their storefront.

How good is Kenny at International Custom Tailors?
He’s done suit rebuilds for me to fix what other tailors screwed up for less than the other hacks charged me to wreck it. The turnaround time is solid and quick compared to other places I’ve been to. The work stands up and they stand behind it. I’ve never had a stitch or seam fail but if they did, I know Kenny and Karen would fix it.
And it’s not just good work that keeps me coming back. It’s good people.
Kenny and and his wife Karen couldn’t be more lovely or helpful. Even when I come in with five bags of stuff I got at It’s A Wrap on the discount rack. I genuinely look forward to coming in and talking with Kenny. About weddings he has to go to. Helping him set up his iPad. Whatever. When he was being forced out of his last location because of a greedy landlord I literally called the local neighborhood council just to see what I could do. I’ve never done that for any other business.
But if all this seems like something you could get from someone else with a sewing machine, let me say the five words that Kenny is too modest to bring up:
HE WAS CARY GRANT’S TAILOR.
That’s right. The dapperest man of all time. And he trusted Kenny Sharma. You think you can find someone better than that? Then stop looking for a tailor and start looking for a shrink, because you’ve gotta be crazy.

Kenny and his wife are very professional. Been in the business since 1970 I get all my suits tailored by them. Prices are low for the quality work that you get.

These guys are great! Found them from a recommendation from a friend who travels from downtown for their work. So good at what they do. Followed them from their Studio City location to Encino because they are worth it! Honest, kind and helpful. Doesn’t get better than that.

Having gone to these guys the last four years when they were in Studio City, I can only say that they make me look sexy. Jeans, suits, jackets, whatever you need, take your garments to Kenny and Kiran.
Seriously. I’ve taken countless pairs of jeans to hemmed and tapered along with a tuxedo and several dress shirts. Kenny and Kiran have made my clothes fit me like a glove.
Just let them know what you need to have done. Kenny is super honest so he deserves super high praise for that alone. He’ll tell you upfront if the alterations are worth it based on what he has to charge you. They’ll have you try them on, make the alteration notes, and then give you a pickup date. Arrive on the pickup date try the newly altered clothes. They’ll do any re-​alterations that you need done after trying them on.
Their work is incredible and meticulous. The end.

We have been going to see Kenny & Karen for years, and we followed them when they moved their business to Encino.
It is always a pleasure to see them at their shop because they are so friendly… and they’re great tailors, too.
Once in awhile, they even have GREAT left clothing for sale. (I picked up a white Bijan Blazer for $ 175.00!!!)
I like their new Encino place better because it’s roomier and much easier to park.

Kenny and Kiran Sharma have been in business since 1970. They moved first from Santa Monica to Studio City to this Encino facility. Kenny and Kiran brought their skills from India. It is a family business. Kenny’s sister also works in the store.
Frequented by regular customers now from Santa Monica, Studio City and Encino with return business. The store walls are lined with pictures of famous actors, musicians, and more who remain satisfied customers.
I am a personal customer since 1997 and continue to request their fine services. My sister of Studio City referred me. With no hesitation, I encourage my friends and family there.
Kenny and Kiran speak Hindi, English, and several other Indian languages.

Kenny and Kiran have moved from their Studio City location to Encino. As a shorty, a tailor is my best friend, and Kenny and Kiran have been my tailors for over 22 years. They are the best! Their new place is brighter and more spacious but still true to their no-​nonsense approach. They are incredibly honest and have told me when an alteration was not necessary — their workmanship is unparalleled and you can trust their opinion. I’ve had them do everything from t-​shirts and jeans to dresses and suits. All done superbly. I’ve moved many places over these past 22 plus years, but I always bring my alterations to Kenny & Kiran! Doesn’t matter if I move or they move, they are my tailors for life!

Kenny and his wife Kiran are expert tailors and do magnificent work! They are charming and relaxed. It’s a pleasure to do business with them.
Their shop used to be in Studio City. Kenny says they moved to Encino because parking in the new place is easy and free, once you find the driveway. (It’s right across the street from the Octopus Restaurant and the Encino Mercedes Benz dealership. Parking is behind Kenny’s building.)
Kenny and Kiran altered a favorite suit I hadn’t worn for years. They re-​cut the pants to bring them up to date, and completely re-​built the jacket.
I picked up the suit three days later. Their work was exquisite. The price was modest.
Kenny says they want to become the neighborhood’s family tailors. No job too big or too small. They’ll sew on a button, mend a sweater, alter a suit or a dress, or make custom suits and shirts, and more.
We discovered them on Unilocal… and our experience was completely consistent with the rave reviews.
We’re lucky to have them in the neighborhood. We’ll be back!

Kenny and Karen moved from studio city to encino, seems like not a big deal at first and i went to couple of other tailors, but somehow i find myself time after time drive the extra miles to thier new location in order to get my pants fitted, my shits fixed and have an outstanding service. the work is AMAZING, always fast and exactly what needed, the price is cheap and the smiles on their faces are priceless.

Expert repairs and tailoring, wonderful /​humble /​hard working couple, and more than fair prices. There’s nothing Kenny and Kiran can’t do. Kenny was Cary Grant’s tailor! C’mon if he’s good enough for Cary Grant, he’s good enough for me!
I initially found them by reading the Unilocal reviews (from their previous Studio City location) and I’ve been a happy customer ever since. Nothing but love for this wonderful couple and business.
