Emily has completely changed our aggressive and overly protective Aussie. He has nipped 3 skateboarders and on the first lesson he lost complete interest in them. She is just the best at what she does. He was feeling my fear and nervousness so she showed us ways to bond with our dog on his walks and not to feel as though he has to protect us the whole time. Within the first hour he was a different dog and happy. My favorite thing about Emily is her positive energy which was clearly felt by our dog as well as us. Her demeanor is one of calmness. We have also gone to her group drop in classes that she holds at parks on weekends. It is a great way to reinforce what we have learned during the first private lesson. We always leave feeling as though we have learned something new. Our Aussie loves to go and so do we! Emily is also very affordable and we are so happy to have found her. She is amazing!

Emily really knew her stuff! I rescued a 2 year old something lol, and was having a difficult time adjusting to knew home… and husband. Emily’s tips, and reasonings behind her explanations where really good. Both my husband and I would recommend her. I look forward to taking some of her group classes. Brutus and I love Emily! I rescued Brutus (a BIG bully breed) almost 3 weeks ago. He was a stray and we have no knowledge of what his past was like. He pulled HARD on walks and with Emily’s guidance over the last 2 sessions with her, he has already improved greatly. She KNOWS dogs. She is patient and really knows her stuff. Long story short: Emily helped my former aggressive dog within a few sessions when MANY other trainers were unable to help us. She is unlike many other trainers in regards to approach, success and affordability.
Long story long:
I have a four-​year-​old pit/​husky mix. As a puppy, he was submissive until he realized that he is faster/​bigger than most dogs and can be the bully himself. Since then, he has been given different labels by different trainers: fear aggressive, reactive, leash reactive and a high prey drive. I did everything you are told to do when you get a dog. We did standard training, cgc training etc. When I saw that the problem was getting worse, I hired a behaviorist. Aside from a behaviorist being extremely expensive, they have a veterinarian degree plus an extra degree for dog psychology (from what I understand). Ya, that was useless.
A year later, my dog attacked a dog for no notable reason and I needed to gain control over my dog. I found Emily from Facebook. I really appreciated that she has a strong understanding of what motivates an animal and how to communicate with an animal. I really appreciated her strong online presence. She has article upon articles available for her clients to read that she wrote to help her clients. I have learned so much from her every time I see her or read an article. When I messaged her on Facebook, she responded relatively quick and answered all my questions. We set up a private lesson for the immediate week at my home. After that, we went to the beach to start the training around his old triggers. Since then, we have attended her group lessons.
Her methods are easy, applicable and allow my dog to understand what I am expecting from him. He seems to be so much happier since we began our training. I also want to stress how connected she is to the success of your dog. She is by far, one of the only trainers truly interested.
I could not give her a higher recommendation. If you need any sort of training from just regular training/​manners to actual aggression– She is your girl!

Emily saved my dogs life. I had already said my goodbyes to him and was facing the option of either finding a rescue shelter that accepts dogs who have bitten people or putting him down… then Emily came along
I was in the midst of the most hectic time of my life. My mom was terminally ill with stage IV cancer, I had a 8mo daughter, and I was trying to expand my business. I just gotten off the phone with my mom after trying to check in and cheer her up when it happened. I heard my wife scream from the other room. My English Bulldog had just bitten my daughter in the face. The next couple days were filled with searching my options. This is when i was given Emily’s number.
From the moment she arrived at my house, she was in control. I explained our situation while she observed our dog and I waited for her input. Honestly, I expected her to look down on us and expected her to tell us to get rid of the dog. Just the contrary. She told us that our dog didnt know his place in the pack and she began to work her magic. After only one session I felt confident enough to begin to take control of the situation. I did, however, schedule another session in which she touched on some of my dogs other issues such as aggressiveness towards other dogs. In addition to this, i ended up attending some of her group classes in order to expose my dog to all sorts of stimuli that were causing him anxiety and aggression. These were amazing.
Emily saved my pack and i cant thank her enough for that. She was the only person (after trying at least 4 other trainers/​behaviorists prior to my daughter getting bitten) who was able to correct my dog. She effortlessly brought him around other dogs and to my amazement got him to remain calm while being sniffed or sniffing other dogs.
These days, I use the techniques and confidence that she gave me, daily. I am able to watch my now 3yo daughter play with my dog and while its been work, it is worth every minute of it. This woman has a gift. Thanks Emily.

I never thought my dog would stop being anxious and destructive the second I left the house! We recently moved to Escondido, and my 7 year old Husky did not handle it well. He went from being a fairly anxious dog (would stand by fence drooling until I came home, escape artist whenever able — chewing through wooden fences), to a totally crazy one (chewing at windows until he could open them, tearing down curtains, clawing at walls). We have a second husky (his brother) who is totally calm, but doesn’t seem to help calm the anxious one. After 2 weeks of being on house arrest (luckily our jobs were flexible), we contacted Emily. Now, about 3 – 4 weeks later, we just had our most successful day! We went to work for 6 hours, and my baby just sat on the couch looking relaxed pretty much the entire time (doggie cam!). JUST DO EVERYTHING SHE SAYS! Emily described the different components of what we needed to do, and said if we gave it our all, we’d have good and quicker results. It took us a week to really do it well, but we noticed the difference as soon as we got it down. She has tons of quick and easy tips, articles full of knowledge, and life changing behavior modification training. I hope that Camus (my husky) continues to feel better and more calm as we continue methods Emily taught us. And all this is just from one initial session, a leash class, and her articles. She is also very available by phone or text. She truly cares about the people and doggies she helps — it is very clear. Her people and doggies are very lucky to have her in their family! :) Thank you so much Emily!!! Camus will be ready to go back to 8 hour days in the house with his brother in no time!!!

In a 3 hour private session with Emily my family’s life changed forever. We have a pit and a lab mix that we rescued and have had for about a year and a half and had already gone through many complicated issues with both of them. We had hired a trainer that would come once a week and in 6 weeks I felt like we hadn’t made any progress and wasted a lot of money. In one session with Emily we learned how to understand our dog’s behavior and she took the time to go over every issue we discussed and taught us many techniques to address all of them. She individualized the training for each dog and their separate issues. I am not exaggerating when I say in one week (our session was actually one week ago today) our dogs are completely different dogs. I now feel much more confident in what I am doing and every technique she showed us has worked consistently. Things are much more calm at our house and our fur babies are getting what they need.

I’ve had a stressful few months and I was at my wits end. I called Emily for help and let me just say what a badass she is! She spent time listening to me vent and ramble and patiently helped me see what I was doing right as well as what I could be doing better. I have gained a new perspective about my relationship with my dog, as well as some new tools and strategies to help turn LucyLou into the amazing newf I know she can be! So thanks to Emily, and her amazing training my formerly dog reactive dog, met and walked with a dog agressive dog that lives next door. We followed her instructions and met walking in front of each other then switched positions. They were wary at first but after a few laps up and down the block they relaxed. After 25 minutes they were sitting two feet apart (backs facing each other) while us parents chatted. Emily has given me the confidence in being able to control my dog. By seeing the behavior at the trigger and stopping it. Thanks Em!

I’d never had a puppy before, and I wanted to do things right from the get-​go. I have an energetic pit-​mix, and Emily helped show us how to walk him and teach him the basics, right away. And our puppy was always happy to see her. Would totally trust her to help with any further training. Initially her trainings ran long, which was sometimes a little tricky, but the info was always helpful. Just plan on possibly going long, or having to cut things short yourself. :)

Emily is an excellent leader and teacher, the principles she covers in her class are easy to use and work wonders. I had spent hundreds of dollars with a previous trainer and wasn’t getting the results I wanted with my Rottweiler. After just a few of her classes I got the tools I needed to turn him into a model doggie citizen. I return to her class occasionally to socialize my dogs and brush up on the basics but I am more confident in my ability to handle my «pack» since meeting her. It is well worth the money to learn from her because you will always have the tools she has taught you when interacting with your own dogs and others. If I had it to do over again I would have called her the moment I first got a puppy.

After the first session I have seen amazing progress with my frightened pup. She knows the quirks of the different breeds. Very affordable. I highly recommend.
