It was a solid three, maybe even a small 3+. Solid food, good service, modern space. It falls short of so many barbecue staples in the South(Franklin’s, Mueller’s, Black’s) but that is a very high bar. If you’re in Lane County, this may be as good as it gets. Worth a visit.

Good food, décor, general atmosphere and friendly staff. Menu is not restricted to bbq. They have rice bowls, soups, salads, burgers. For $ 5, you have to try the mac & cheese balls. The music selection adds an awesome twist to the already eclectic style. The bbq is terrific, even though their menu isn’t limited to just so.

I cannot give this place enough stars. I have Celiac disease, so I need to eat gluten free. When I came in and asked for a gluten free bun for my sandwich, they made sure to clarify that the sauce was gluten free as well, and that I could get gluten free BBQ chips! They fry them in a dedicated fryer to ensure that there’s no cross contamination. The prices are really reasonable, especially for the quality of food. I would expect much more for how delicious everything is. The meat is always tender and juicy, and the sauce is probably the most perfect BBQ sauce to ever exist. Perfect amounts of tangy, sweet, and a little bit spicy. The service is always super friendly. Absolutely no complaints here!

I had the pleasure of attending an event catered by these guys and it could not have been better. They were on time, friendly and professional. The food was AMAZING and there was plenty to go around. They even made sure to help us pack up leftovers and provided us with extra super-tasty BBQ sauce to enjoy later. This was soooooooo great – we’ll be back!

Great place to get BBQ in Lane county. Like in the Carolinas you order at the counter sit down and they bring it to ya. Multiple delicious side to accompany your main dish. You could eat just that. Attentive staff, clean restaurant, delicious food. Thanks for the opportunity to dine with my family, everyone(including the vegetarian) was satisfied.

This place? The best. Great food. Myself and 5 college gals — something for everyone! BBQ sauce not too spicy, everything was fresh. Nicely chopped veggies, on point potato salad. The employees? Nice. Helpful. Funny. Dinner for 6, one appetizer and beverages all around only $ 80.

Great tri tip and good coleslaw. One drawback is that they only have one bbq sauce on the table and it is more of a Texas style sauce. So if you like the KCBBQ sweet tasting sauce you wont get that here. I ate my entire meal without sauce, which kind of sucked.

Tonight I tried eating here and to my surprise it was amazing. The Baby Back Ribs were some of the best I had. The Mac n Cheese was awesome, I brought home 3 sides of it. The yams were excellent. I took the advice of Gus and ordered what he considered was the best choice. I was very pleased with his suggestions. Gus has excellent customer service skills, and I would consider him an asset to the business. This is a must try if your in the area. Thank you we will be back.

Loved the look and atmosphere of the place. The staff was friendly and our food came almost immediately. We had ribs, pulled pork, chicken, pork and beans, potato salad, Mac and cheese and homemade BBQ chips. Mac and cheese was not great but I prefer mine on the creamier side. This one was a little lumpy. Everything else tasted pretty good. The BBQ chips were excellent!

Bear with me and hear me out. I’m from California and therefore all to familiar with the impossibly depressing reality of west coast BBQ. A few years back I moved to Austin Texas. Austin redefined what BBQ was and could be to me. Having feasted on brisket from Franklin’s & pulled pork & hot guts from LABBQ. I was sure that when I returned to the west coast that I’d be kissing anything even approaching decent BBQ goodbye. NOPE. Bill & Tim’s, while it somewhat lacks the«I’m eating smoked meat in a big repurposed tool shed» kind of rustic charm that is ubiquitous in Texas, serves up quality of food that could thrive amongst the best in a place that boasts some of the best low & slow in the country. Their prices are very reasonable to boot! I’m very happy to share a neighborhood with Bill & Tim’s. Oh, and those BBQ chips are the TRUTH!

It wasn’t as good sitting down in the restaurant. Ran out of silverware, food was just ok, and ran out of bloody mary mix so our table couldn’t have a full set together. That’s too bad.

Just a lonely Texan in Eugene for work and what do I do? Find bbq of course! Bill and Tim’s is pretty dang decent for bbq. Nos the guy that works here is super friendly and gave great service! I had the three meat plate; chicken, pulled beef(brisket), and tri-tip. Very good. The table next to me got the ribs and they look great. Will have to try them next visit. Sauce is really good. Give em a try, tell em Sam said so!

The menu was easy to navigate through, the restaurant is an order & pay first then seat yourself. the staff is incredibly attentive and the wait time was non existent the food came out quickly and man was it good. We ordered 3 kids meals(no complaints from the little ones, they scarfed it down.) pulled pork nachos and the 1 meat entrée with tri-tip, potato salad and coleslaw. Everything was so delicious. I’m really excited we stumbled upon this place so we can add it as a staple to our«go to» list.

Went there for the first time tonight and won’t be back again. The employees were VERY nice and friendly but the food was horrible. Ordered the 3 meat plate with tri-tip, pulled pork and pulled beef along with mac n cheese and pork n beans. All 3 meats were cold, not just a little cold but very cold maybe 10 degrees warmer than straight out of the fridge! The tri-tip was very fatty, pork was soggy the beef was ok other than all being cold. The mac n cheese was lukewarm but tasty and the beans were hard,(yes literally hard) way under cooked and fairly tasteless. They have great lemonade, Texas toast and the meat all had a nice smoke to it. The place has potential but I won’t be back. I gave 2 stars solely because the staff was so well liked. If I could, I’d give the staff 4 stars and the food 1 star but I give an overall 2…

Fresh food fast. The food here seems very labor intensive to prepare. The smoker brings great smells in the neighborhood all day and night. The restaurant is new and very thoughtfully laid out. Good deals for kids menu. Easy parking, cool neighborhood with nice mom and pop shops. The tri tip is impressive according to friends. I like the chicken enchiladas. Mac and cheese is on point!

I love the concept of Bill & Tim’s Barbecue, but it fell short. The environment is perfect. Serving cocktails, beer and wine is perfect. The location is nice, especially with an actual parking lot near downtown, but not too far away. And the menu is full with a large number of options and is easy to read. But the food, so far has been lacking. Half rack of ribs with the cucumber salad. The Texas toast was good, but not really toasted or Texas style. More like a thick piece of Italian bread with a vaguely buttery substance applied with a paint brush and warmed in a broiler. The pork ribs were a bit rubbery, didn’t fall off the bone at all, and were only lukewarm. They got cold pretty quickly, leaving a layer of congealed fat disguised under the barbecue sauce. I ended up throwing at least half of them away. The sauce was tasty though, and I’ll be back to try it with some other menu items. The cucumber salad was nothing special, it was exactly the same thing you’d see at any number of Greek restaurants. Lastly, service was good. At least three different workers came up to ask how my meal was(at least before the ribs got too cold to eat.) I will definitely go back to give them a second chance.

A pleasant surprise awaited me when a buddy of mine suggested we go here for dinner. The menu has variety, but they stick with what they know and do well. I had the club sandwich and was most impressed. It’s a towering sandwich with layers of flavor that only complement, never compete. Soda refills are serve yourself, which in this kind of environment, I think works best. Staff were not overly friendly, but efficient and food arrived quickly. The restaurant itself is clean and the atmosphere casual but not cheap.

I had a half rack of ribs, cucumber salad, BBQ chips plus an order of the Mac and cheese balls. I didn’t touch the Texas toast or chips, and barely tried the salad. I’m so full! The ribs were delicious. Meat fell off the bone and the sauce was just the right amount of heat to make my kid smack. The Mac and cheese balls are not to be missed. Sweet corn was a surprise, but the cheese was thick and delicious. Large pieces of Mac proved it was homemade. The crispy outside made the balls easy to handle. Definitely try dipping them in the sauce. I’ll have these on my mind for the rest of my life! My friend had a 2 meat plate with chicken and pulled pork. She also had the pork and beans. The chicken was not crispy, and the skin was pretty sad. She lived the pulled pork, and I did too. Even dry(no sauce) the flavor was spectacular. She ate hers on toast, but I just had a forkful from her plate. I’d love to try their pulled pork sandwich next time. The BBQ chips are homemade and tasty. I’m taking them on the road for a snack later. The house sauce was unexpected. I thought it would be sweet, but it had a kick! It went nicely with all the meats we tried. The cucumber salad was fresh, but I couldn’t finish after everything else is ate. My friend said the cucumber salad is very refreshing after eating meats and sauces. She recommends having some to clear your palate. My friend says the meat is a 5 star attraction, but with everything else made it a 3. She said Texas toast was soggy and the chicken and undercooked beans were a disappointment. My review is much more favorable. I loved my meal and the atmosphere is fun, clean, and convenient.

I hate to do it but… Here goes. I’m from Kansas city, a(or «the» depending on who you ask) barbeque capital. So, I had some expectations. I don’t think I need to dress this place down In Front of all you fine people, but I will say it just didn’t do it for me. Also, I’ll save everyone the trouble and just write what you are thinking: «Well, why don’t you just go back to Kansas City then!» Ouch. There, I hope you feel better now. PS The staff are friendly.
