Long John Silver’s

9:40 pm (closes at 10pm) I pull up to drive thru and for 5 mins sit in drive thru and no answer and came to front door and was locked so went to drive thru window and bang on window and the employee acted stunned! Wow is all I can say!

My first job as a teenager was at a Long John Silver’s in Richardson so I still have an occasional craving for it. The LJS/​KFC combo restaurant in Arlington near UTA is awful so I figured I’d head north to a Long John’s location that isn’t also another restaurant.
Food is much better at this one, it’s always very clean and the employees friendly. Only misses are the fries aren’t always fresh and the fish can have too much batter on them. Since I used to work for them, I know there shouldn’t be huge chunks of batter on the underside of the fish. Parking lot layout isn’t great but with the freeway access road so close and that huge sign pole they have its probably as good as possible.

I love LJS, but this one is hit and miss. They finally got that sewer sell taken care of so I can eat in the store again. People are nice.
I know fried food is bad but my grandparents use to go all the time to LJS and a crave the taste.
The prices are starting to make it harder to take the a family or eat there every 3 months + alone. I use to be able to get a #1 and drink for $ 8. Not anymore.
I wish we could get a new building, this one is clean but the parking lot is just as bad as the highway construction. Its in very bad shape.
Maybe they need one of those combo LJS and another restaurant so more go here.

I’m mad. I went to LJS last evening because my husband and I were hungry for fish. I know, I know, anyway. Took me 30 mins to get there and 30 mins back because freeway is torn up. As I’m talking to guy on register about what to order because their prices are so dang high, I remarked to him how much I love their coleslaw. I ordered the eight piece fish onion rings and coleslaw. Before I left, I ask him, are you sure everything is here? He said «you bet!. Well I should have looked because all I did was count boxes. You guessed it! No cole slaw! I was so mad, kinda still am. Couldn’t complain because no one would answer phone. They still aren’t today. Too far to drive to be reimbursed. Never going back. Finally learned my lesson. But they DO have great cole slaw and fountain Dr. Pepper!!!

LOL our office just had the craving for fried oily greasy fattening fast food so we went to pick up food. Since i do not eat that stuff, i wanted the baked cod.
DUDE… I paid $ 3 for it and it is about the size of a dollar Coin. NO KIDDING!

For the up though, the lovely cashier did say up front how small it was. But I didn;t expect a petite barby size. So a plus for the associates working there!

Every once and a while I just get the craving for some crispy fish and chicken planks from Long John Silver’s.
Today was that day…
I try to go to this location when I can (over other LJS locations) simply because the interior is much nicer then others in the area. (see pics)
Their food tasted fresh and cooked properly (something else that I never have an issue with at this location).
The dining area was practically spotless and the staff was friendly when approached.
I’ll be back when my cravings return. :)
