Kids Kuts

Meh. Both my boys had haircuts here and they turned out all right. They definitely weren’t the best haircuts they’ve ever had, but it got the job done. The salon itself looks a bit run down and could use a few updates. For example, they are still showing VHS movies on small TVs, toys could use a good cleaning, and the waiting area furniture looks well-​loved to say the least. I did appreciate the smaller salon chair for infant/​young toddler aged children.

Oh i love it! My baby doenst like his head touch. Even i have to struggle to wash his hair.
Tho with a struggle she finish my son hair with a super result, even i problably dont want to do it, haha! But def worth every pennies of it!

Cornelia is the best! She is the owner and who always does my boys hair. They have very different hair, one been curly and the other one straight. Always patient and quick. My boys enjoy going there, which makes the visit easier. I highly recommend make an appointment in advance.

Took my son in today for his first haircut he’s 9 months, I scheduled an appointment and we were seen right away which was nice since there were walk ins. Julie was our stylist and she was so great my kid was wiggling all around and she was able to do a great cut and keep him happy. Over all great experience we will definitely be back!

My toddler hates getting his hair cut. He cries and screams the entire time. But somehow they always pull off a decent looking cut!

I took my son here for his first haircut and several more after that. I think the cool seats really helped as a distraction. I also think the stylist’s experience with little kids is helpful because they know how to give a good haircut while a child is screaming bloody murder while trying to climb out of the seat. That being said, the last couple of haircuts were just ok. I found several mistakes, but chalked it up to my squirming monkey. The biggest drawback is the price. A 10-​minute haircut, mostly done with the clippers is $ 22 bucks! It’s no more that $ 13 at most other places you could take a child to. I also felt the customer service needed a lot of improvement. Every time we were there the stylist seemed short on patience and empathy for how fearful my son was — and this was with several different stylists! They aren’t overly-​friendly and don’t seem too happy to be there (grumpy). After our last visit I decided never to go back. We had a great experience at Top Cuts on 132^nd in south Everett/​Mill Creek and the price…$ 11.99. :D

Went back and saw Dee today she was awesome-didn’t have an appointment and still got me in for a bang trim for my daughter. Best place in town!

I have been going to Kids Kuts for over 7 years. Cornelia is as patient with me as she is with the kids. My boys each have different kinds of curly hair and she does a perfect job with both of them. We drive over 10 miles each way to see Cornelia. She also did both boys first haircut. We have regretted each time we tried another place in hopes to not make the drive! I would highly recommend Cornelia at Kids Kuts!

I really wish I had gotten the name of the lady who cut my daughter’s hair, she was amazing. It was cheaper and way better than the haircut my daughter got at a regular salon. She was so fast, but it still looked amazing, and was really friendly. I also loved that she was not stuck on generic kid styles, I described what I wanted and she knew exactly what I was talking about it and executed it perfectly. I will definitely be going back here for a long time to come.

I’ve gone 3 times now to get my son’s bangs trimmed. First experience was the best, first «haircut» so the lady saved some hair & I got a certificate! 2^nd time the lady was rushed because we did a walk in. I suggest making an appointment. Today was our 3^rd time in, I had an appointment & the lady did a great job trimming my sons bangs. I’m keeping his curls for a while longer!

We’ve been getting our children’s haircuts here for 12+ years. And it truly is the best. When we moved out to Snohomish years ago we tried to find closer places but I was never happy with the cuts. The haircuts and great staff are worth the commute!

Excellent experience with kids kuts today, I have a very squirmy and shy 9 month old boy who was starting to look like a girl with his longer hair. We got a same day appointment, and his stylist, Cornelia, was fantastic. He didn’t cry. Didn’t fuss, nothing. She played a movie for him and was done in about 10 minutes or less. Worth the money, in my opinion.

Lady who cut my son’s hair was so unprofessional! she did not greet us rather she was trying to figure out her tips wth her last customer. she had the nerve to tell us that too! I mean work on your tips later when there’s no
seems like she hates her job cutting kids hair. when she did call us up chairs were still dirty from her last cut. now I havnt been in a kids barber shop and I thought she would know how handle a 2year old in a chair. she just started hacking his hair and F*****D it up! I mean totally crooked! she did not know what she was doin. I’m guessing she was a barber shop school drop out. I was trying to control myself from bursting out and kickin her in the head. I was totally pissed off of the way my son’s haircut came out. I later took him to another barber to fix it and we had to almost shave his head to fix it. she probably said 2 words to us the whole time. I would not go to this butcher shop and would NOT recommend anyone to bring their kids here… or at least not have Courtney Lee cut anyone’s hair!

Amazing… I can’t say enough wonderful things about the girls who work here… I’ve taken my son here twice… Once at a year old for his first hair cut and once at 18 months old… Needless to say my son was not a happy camper the first time around and the hair stylist was extremely patient with him and very forgiving to his out bursts… AND his hair cut was AMAZING!!! The second time I went here he was way more comfortable with getting a hair cut… He had a different hair stylist this time and she was just as amazing with him… The salon is small but perfect… They have tons of toys for your child to play with before during and after their hair cut… Stickers and lollipops… Even a tv with videos they can watch while they get their hair cut… And cute little car chairs they sit in while they get a trim!!! I love coming here!!!

Went here for the first time and was SO glad! You never know with these places.
One: it’s hard to find! It’s a suite behind other suites, so just trust your GPS and drive down to the lower suites.
Two: we had Nicole, she is very sweet and friendly and not awkward and a joy– all you look for! She was great with our 20 month old and he didn’t cry even once: which is amazing since he isn’t a fan of people in general, even less of strangers!
Three: price is so reasonable! $ 22 before tip.
We are coming back monthly!

Just went here for our Littles first haircut! I was able to get a same day appt and the timing was perfect. Cute salon, well equipped for children. Nicole did a great job, was super friendly, great with our tot and her adorable haircut was done in no time. Cute «first haircut» certificate too we’ll be back!

Been coming here a long time! Great location, and if Cornelia can’t grab the phone to make your appointment, leave a message and she’ll call you right back! Even though she is very popular, we never have trouble getting in, and the biggest compliment: She cuts my son’s hair to perfection in lightning fast time! And… He has SEVEN cowlicks. :-/​. Very challenging, thick hair. Other places take 3 – 4 times longer to cut his hair (it has taken a painful hour before,) and the result is just not of the precision and excellence of Cornelia. I think it’s a touch pricey, but her speed and quality alone is worth it. Also, she plays cute kids/​Disney movies and the different «car» chairs are very fun for the kids. I would say coupons coming out slightly more frequently would be helpful. Both my daughter and son love it here.

Is it pricey? That depends on how you want to spend your time and money. When my son was a toddler, none of the cheap-​o salons could give him a decent haircut in less than 30 minutes… and even that was a struggle. One even nicked his ear with the clippers, so then he was terrified of hair cuts for a time.
Then, along came my daughter — complete with naturally curly, super-​fine hair that was born tangled. I couldn’t find a stylist who would cut it so she didn’t look like little orphan Annie.
But, then I found Kids Kuts. Cornelia is wonderful and can clip my squirmy son’s hair in about 11 minutes flat. He loves going there and looks so handsome when she’s done! She does a great job cutting and styling my daughter’s hair… and even taught me some tips how to style it myself.
So, yes, I may pay $ 70 for both kids hair cuts (that includes a generous tip), but my time is worth a lot of money — and so are my kids :-)

I would give Kids Kuts TEN stars if Unilocal would let me.
My son (almost three) hates getting his haircut… not a little bit, A LOT, like he is better when he gets shots than he is when he gets a haircut. Usually, by the end of a haircut I feel like I should buy the whole room ice cream, my son, me, the stylist, and every other customer in the place, and we’ve left places with half a haircut in the past because he was so upset today was SO NOT like that.
We walked in and my son (Punk) was immediately excited about the prospect of sitting in the police car chair (shaped much like Sheriff from Pixar’s Cars which is what Punk called it). We were a little early so he played with the toys in the waiting room for a few minutes. When it was Punk’s turn he asked to sit in «Sheriff», request granted, then she consulted with me about what I wanted (I like the back and sides shorter, but don’t like the top to be too short). Punk wasn’t excited about the haircut and there were a few tears, but the stylist (owner Cornelia) was patient and calm. She just started cutting (always checking with me about length). Punk never ramped up to the point that he usually does, there were just a few tears and some whiny objections, but no screaming or throwing himself around.
When we got towards the end when she needed to use the clippers she took the time to let me calm Punk down and she let him touch the clippers to see that they wouldn’t hurt him, she also got him a lollipop (she asked me if he could have one first).
The haircut turned out PERFECT and Punk is excited to come back (even with the tears he liked the place enough to want to return). $ 22 for a child’s haircut (plus tip) is a little bit pricey, but, honestly, this haircut and the experience with Cornelia were worth every single penny.
I will be returning with Punk and by then it will be time for my second son, Bug, to have his first haircut. I am excited for Cornelia to be the one to do that first haircut!

My 2 year old got a wonderful cut here. He looks adorable! We’ve gone to a couple other places and the cut was mediocre at best.
He loved the fun police car chair while watching a movie. The girl (unfortunately don’t remember her name) that cut was very quick and friendly.

Edited 11/8/11…got another cut, just as good!!! Ask for the owner, she’s great. Worth the trip to Everett.
