We had often visited this restaurant when it was the Thai Kitchenette. However, the store is under new management(as of our visit on March 16, 2012). The food tastes OK, but when I asked for 2 stars, I did not expect to leave the restaurant with my lips burning! Their interpretation of 2 stars is much more spicy than mine. Also, the new management has changed their menu. Instead of being able to get an entrée + soup+ rice for 5.95, they now only offer entrée + soup + rice + pad thai for 8.95. Too much food and too high a price for lunch. We’ll take our business elsewhere from now on.

I have driven past this place hundreds of times and always feel bad… they opened up on the backside of a loaded complex(hardeson and sievers duecy) and are about 50 ft from Thai Valley. I never see anyone in there and they have dropped there prices with big signs to draw people in… So i decided to give them a try. I was the only person in there in the middle of lunch(the other complex was swamped) and i ordered chicken pad Thai. They had a coupon for a free drink on display but the owner told me I would need to use it next time ??? I received a starter soup which was simply hot water and tofu — no taste. The food came out and it was a clear sauce, the noodles and chicken looked different and the portion was very small. It was not good. I don’t recommend this place… Thai Valley next door is great! I don’t feel bad anymore for how quiet and dead this place is… I think its a bad idea to open up a Thai place next door to an already established Thai place AND i think the patrons have experienced what i did — Sub par food. Pad Thai is the most basic Thai meal and if that isn’t good… i sure wouldn’t order anything else.

Update(Feb 16, 2012) THEYCHANGEDTHEIRPRICES!!! Their Pad Thai for $ 5.95 was the bread winner, but now they have changed the price to $ 8.99(the same price as all other Thai places) This place was known for their menu prices of $ 5.95. Sorry to say, but after the price change, I have demoted my 4 star rating to 2.5 stars. Rama House, you(once) were so good to me… (Original Review — Sept 09, 2011) skip it, maybe, eat it: EATIT. We are always in search of a good pad thai place that is close by and even better, inexpensive. We had a usual place to satisfy our pad thai cravings, but ended up switching to Rama House when we discovered their $ 5.99 pad thai. Lunch or dinner, always this great price. The pad thai is really good, just enough sauciness and spiciness. Not our absolute favorite ever, but good pad thai at a nice price. We also tried another chicken dish, but prefer the pad thai. Staff is always friendly.

A Thai friend brought me here at this recently opened Thai restaurant in a newly built strip mall 1 mile from the Boeing plant. They have lunch specials and I had the Basil Chicken which was very authentic. They deliver with a $ 25 minimum order. All dishes are $ 5.95. Closed on weekends.
