Bikes are good! Cycling is fun! If you believe in these attitudes, the BikeLine of Exton, PA is an under-new-management bike shop you have to visit and you must get to know Mike and Tom and the rest of the staff. For over 20 years I have purchased bikes for our family and myself from BikeLine of Exton. I have just completed purchasing our family’s 16th bike and my 8th bike from this location. This is my first experience with the new management team in Exton and I cannot say enough about Mike’s professional demeanor, his enthusiasm, his expertise, his business skills, his knowledge of the products, and most importantly Mike and his team’s willingness to listen to and surpass my needs and expectations. My five-year-old Trek Madone road bike developed a small defect in its carbon frame. Mike and his team totally handled the issue by sending the frame back to Trek, making all the correct contacts which resulted in the frame being repaired in a timely manner. However, with Trek’s lifetime frame guarantee, Mike went beyond my issue and encouraged Trek to offer me their«crash replacement» policy. By doing this I was able to purchase a new road bike at an attractive price. I am a 64-year-old cyclist. Mike and his staff listened carefully to my needs as a mature cyclist. They were always able to understand my particular riding style and geared me towards a successful road bike upgrade through Trek’s «crash replacement» policy. BTW, I did not have a «crash»; it was just a small defect that developed in my Madone’s frame. I currently own three Trek bikes, all of which have been serviced at the BikeLine of Exton by Mike and his staff. I can offer nothing but high praise for this shop’s positive upbeat attitude and interaction with me as a cyclist and the careful attention they give to my bikes to keep safely rolling along on the roads and paved trails of our great cycling area. In addition to my fine road bike I own two Trek 7.5Fx «flat bar road bikes» for riding the expanding paved trails in our area, keeping one if these Fx bikes«down the shore» in South Jersey at our vacation condo. Buying a bike is more than getting a good deal financially. You form a bond and an important relationship with the shop that sells you your bike. The excellent social, business, and technical skills that I have experienced with Mike and his staff at the BikeLine of Exton is what I look for, hope for, and expect from«my bike shop». If you are shopping for a bike, need service on your bike, or just want to meet people who live and enjoy the goodness and fun of cycling, get to BikeLine of Exton. You will be very happy to meet and get to know Mike and his staff.

Excellent customer service! I had stopped in here several years ago and the person working(that is no longer there) was snooty and rude, I left feeling inferior. A few weeks ago I stopped in while riding on the trail nearby, and stopped in again tonight. I got there near closing time, but the people did not mind at all, they help me pick out shoes and even put the petals on my bike for me staying late to do so. At no point did I feel rushed, and they made me feel like even though I’m new to biking, that I mattered. i’m very picky when it comes to customer service, and I have to say that these guys were great. i’ll be back!

I’ve read all the past posts with negative comments and was hesitant about shopping there. However, I was completely surprised! Management has changed and Mike Underwood is the new manager. He and his staff are knowledgeable and eager to assist you in any way they can. Being new to the cycling scene and being older, he showed me several different bikes and what most people change or upgrade, then did a price comparison. There was no pressure or expectations that I purchase anything, he was more concerned I get the correct bike for me, my style and experience level. He took the time to go over the bike, maintenance and basic operation(again, I’m a newbie). He invited me back for group rides and classes. I have another Bike Line closer to me and have purchased items from there, but Mike Underwood made it personal. He was more interested in me being happy and satisfied than just trying to sell me something. Bike Line Exton is now my «go to» bike store. Thank you Mike and staff.

Terrible customer service. Manager was pretentious and condescending. The store was absolutely empty. The staff did not appear to be educated in various bike styles and part. I absolutely will never return here and will make sure my friends and family never do either.

Looking at Sean’s review, the same thing happen to us! I bought a bike for my son there and I kept telling the manager it was too big for him! He talked me into buying the bike, insisting that it wasn’t too big! I figured he knew what he was talking about! I should have gone with my gut feeling! So many times my son has fallen on the bike, but thank God he hasn’t gotten too hurt! You know how many times we had to get the bike fixed, because of the wear and tear of my son falling and not being able to control the bike! When I mentioned this to the manager, he could have cared less!

We made the mistake of going here during a stop to the coffee shop next door. The owner very rudely told us that we could not park near his store. if we didn’t shop there first. Once we got in there, his prices were ridiculously high. With the combination of those things, I have no intention of going back. I’d give this place zero stars if I could!
