History

Established in 2002.

Prior to opening this business in March of 2002, the owners had worked for 9 years in the timber/​logging industry out west. First in the Washington state region for 7 years. The owner of the company worked for 2 major logging firms, then opened his own contract tree falling company in 1997. Between ’97 and 2001 worked on approximately 30 USDA Forest service contracts. In September of 2001 he relocated to the Washington, D.C. Area. Ever since has been doing business as Out on a Limb Tree Service.

For the Fourth year in a row we have been awarded the Angie’s List Super Service award for excellent customer service– Only the upper 5% of businesses can be awarded this coveted award.

Trees are a passion of ours. A tree is a complex organism with many parts, when all parts work in concert with each other a strong organism thrives. For millions of years trees have existed on mother earth without any assistance from humans– but now we share spaces with them. We rely upon them to absorb rain and flood waters, to filter sunlight and provide protection from the harsh winds, and scorching heat. The primary benefit of all green plants is the production of Oxygen of which if it were absent, we wouldn’t survive.
