Trupiano’s Italian Bistro

My favorite Italian eatery, hands down. The food is always phenomenal, always fast, always consistent –no matter how busy or slow.

As previous Unilocal-​ers have stated, I have been here several times with not so exceptional service. Since those experiences I have decided to order to-​go. Although I haven’t had very many items from the menu, I do LOVE their pizzas! Unfortunately, my meals are often inconsistent, which leaves me feeling disappointed.
I have found some great things on the menu so I will continue to give Trupiano’s the opportunity to impress me with dishes I have yet to try.

Went to Tripianis tonight for dinner and ordered the Cappelini al Pomodoro one of my favorite dishes. Not today my dish was more like spaghetti soup why do many Italian restaurants not drain their pasta both my husbands and my dish was water logged such a shame.

Best Italian food I have ever had. Great service. Relaxed yet very professional in manners. This is a jewel of Southern California. This is awesome. The only negative is you can’t stop eating. Wait!!! That’s a positive. Keep up the great everything Trupianos.

When I take a bite of their delicious pasta it’s like the heavens have opened and are showering my tastebuds with holy radiance. Their breadsticks are oven fresh and positively the best carbs you will ever consume. This place is without a doubt the best Italian food outside of Italy. It can be pricey, so don’t go here on a first date. Make sure your date is worth the money before you shower them with such a fine feast.

I was excited about the thought of finding good Italian food in Fallbrook and finally went in to Trupiano’s. We ordered the fried ravioli appetizer, chicken Parmesan and a creamy fusilli pasta. The marinara sauce was not tangy like it should be, it might as well have been canned sauce (it may have been). The sauce was sweet and runny, also needed salt. The chicken parmesan was a bit soggy and I could taste the flour used for breading it. I couldn’t eat the pasta it came with because of that marinara sauce again. The creamy cheese sauce for the pasta was runny and there were chunks of mozzarella in it. The best part of the meal was my roasted veggies, nicely cooked and actually seasoned well. Sadly I won’t be going back and I would definitely not recommend it to any of my friends. I don’t understand the raves about this place… The service wasn’t great either.

We love doing take-​out and enjoying the delicious cuisine in the comfort of our home. Delicious breadsticks and the pasta dishes are gourmet! I recommend dining in our take out. Great food and friendly wait staff!

The lasagne is to die for and everybody knows about their marvelous breadsticks. They have a 10 dollar lunch special which is great but you gotta get there before 4 to get. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Fallbrook!

When I walked in I was confused there was a hostess stand/​podium but no hostess in view so I stood there lost, after maybe about 10 minutes someone finally came and handed me a menu then left so I ended up seating myself. The customer service was good and the bread sticks were great. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo which is my favorite but the sauce had a weird aftertaste it tasted like it came out of a preggo bottle. So I ended up eating some of my friends ham and cheese calzone which was surprisingly good. Their drink menu was very limited. Will not be going back.

. Went here the service was very slow and non attentive and the food had no flavor. We’re not given napkins till after we got our food. Best part of the meal was my Coke. Will not be going back.

I have came here so many time and I always get the veggie pizza, it’s my favorite and I get pastas every now and then ! I got to say the food is really good, it’s just the staff that I’m not feeling, I feel their sweet to you as soon and you ask for the check

Best pasta I’ve ever had. Highly recommended the chicken caprese. My wife and I went there for our anniversary and it was our first time and it was really the best Italian food I’ve ever had. The bread sticks were good but the pasta was better.

I’m now wondering why it’s taken me so long to finally come in for dinner?! The food is wonderful! The pricing is reasonable as well. I’ll be back without the kiddos to spurge for date night soon!

TRIED to dine here but sadly, never got to try the food because the waiter was too busy to wait on us. The busser did bring water & breadsticks. She was sweet. We wound up walking out for lack of service.

We really like to go to locally owned restaurants and Trupiano’s is on the top of our list. The kids meals are great! My son loves their pepperoni pizza and breadsticks. The service is friendly and I have enjoyed everything I have ordered. My favorite is the chicken parmesan.

I’m addicted and I’m not ashamed, ate my big sister’s leftover and this is my 2 x back to this Sicilian restaurant in less than 1 wk.
I was in search of A delicious comfort dish. .FOUND IT.
Fallbrook isn’t around the corner for me by any means, but off a 2 lane road into a small town to enjoy a variety of authentic Italian entrees isn’t a bad way to spend a mid summer dinner date. PENNE RUSTICO will you marry me.. Yes it’s that kinda luv it’s Ritch & creamy and the combination of shrimp, tender flavorful chicken and yum pasta has me hooked. Took it to go the first time stayed warm the 30min trip home 2^nd x
better than the first. Ate there mid week mid day Tanya served us … Quick Service with genuine customer service.. Breassticks were bomb Italian Soda maaarvelous and yes Dessert crembrulie.. I’m Smiling, happy & full

2^nd timer. This time I had the Chicken Marsala. Without question the BEST Chicken Marsala I have ever had and I have had this dish from coast to coast.

Should have written this review last year at this time, but hey we were a little busy getting married. =)
We did our rehearsal dinner here a few nights before the big day and my mother in law coordinated the whole thing. Just to comment quickly on that whole experience — she said it went incredibly smoothly and she had good communication with the manager through the process. We ever got personalized menus that we could take home which we loved. The food was great.
We did revisit this place for our first anniversary recently so here goes a more updated review for a «regular» restaurant experience.
Location: Located on what is pretty much the main drag in Fallbrook, Trupiano’s is a little, somewhat plain building on a corner. It does have a parking lot attached and there always seems to be plenty. The sign is a little small, so make sure you slow down so you don’t pass it up!
Service: We have had great service every time we have visited this place including the most recent visit. I would have to be hyper-​critical to find a thing to harp on so I won’t. Food comes out hot and quick and VERY large portions. This last time we actually ended up ordering an entrée to share and the waitress was great about splitting the order for us prior to bringing it out. Love it.
Food: Italian food. All the italian food you could possibly think of and then some. I’m a sucker for spaghetti and meatballs so that is what I normally get, but the sauce that comes with it… YUM. I’m not one of those people who likes everything soaked in sauce, but here, its more than okay. We also tried the corn chowder, which I believe was the soup of the day and it was delicious. We ate it despite the fact that it was 90 degrees outside and there was no AC (only minor complaint — if its hot, it is VERY hot inside). You also get a generous order of fresh breadsticks coated in butter every time. I don’t think I need to elaborate on that.
Overall: Great little place for Italian if you are ever passing through this area…

My fiancée and I are relatively new to the area of Fallbrook and just move here.
The town is so small that being a foodie might seem to be at a disadvantage here; but I could not have been so wrong.
While dining options might be limited here, there are a few gems amongst the bunch and one of them is this establishment.
Trupianos excels where other Italian chain restaurants fail to please.
Being locally owned and operated and this means you’ll always see familiar faces and will receive personalized service from their staff. After a few visits, you’re now a regular and the staff now ask you for «your usual».
They are also very flexible in their menu, allowing customers to be able to swap-​up items together for «customized» meals.
They even have a gluten-​free section!
The décor here is very homey and authentic and the entire establishment, including the restrooms, are spotless.
A cozy ambiance, with friendly staff that almost feels like family and great Italian food is what this place is all about!
