Beautiful Memory Dessert

Pretty yummy desserts and a good variety of selection. Most importantly, they take credit card! Bonus. My favorite is the coconut juice based sago with fresh mixed fruits. It was refreshing, filling, and not too sweet. The portion was big, but it is over $ 7. You get a lot of fruits in there — Mango, watermelon, cantaloupe, a couple slices of strawberry, and kiwi.
My only complaint is that the watermelon and cantaloupe didn’t taste very fresh. Also, even though the staff claim that the food carries well, it doesn’t. You better eat that fresh within a couple hours or not at all. I took the food back from NY to DC (almost 6 hours), and they were pretty spoiled when I got home.

What is up with the cashier girl? She needs a serious attitude adjustment or needs to be fired. We also had to wait 10 minutes before we could even place our order because she thought it was more important to figure out what was wrong with a prior party’s receipt. The smart thing would have been to take our order first. We ordered Combo 1 and everything was just okay, nothing great. I’d rather go to Mango Mango.

Minimum $ 15 for credit card, which means I have to buy 3 bowls of desserts. So here is my very long and very dedicated review for 3 flavors:
1. Durian: My favorite fruit on Earth was squashed inside a cushion of whipped cream. I had a «beautiful memory» of scooping out white cream because it was blocking my durian.
2. Mango: Where is the real mango? That watery yellow soup didn’t taste like mango. Baby food may taste more real.
3. Toddy Palm: I wanted to sign a divorce paper the moment I saw the dominant coconut milk bobbing in the bowl.
I pleased me to have a beautiful memory with Beautiful Memory Dessert.

A little pricey but good smoothies. 5 $ for a medium strawberry and milk smoothie. It was really fresh and not too sweet which is great. Taste like fresh strawberries and milk and not the powder stuff. I went with my friend and she got a papaya and mango smoothie and hers was really yummy too.

Love the amazing dessert. My friends and I (4 of us) ordered 2 desserts for sharing, first is mango with grass jelly with vanilla ice cream, another one is durian with mixed fruits. The durian is so creamy, complement well with the ice and fruits. Will defo frequent this place if I live in NYC!

Good dessert but too pricey and not something you’ve never tasted since there are so many similar dessert places around the area that offers better ambience and selections.

This is my first Unilocal review, but no place is more deserving than Beautiful Memory. Get a combo and taste new different desserts that are all equally delicious. This place is amazing you will no be disappointed.

Not sure why people are complaining about the portion size since I am not a small person and eat a lot and was super full from like one delicious soup! And mind you we had two. So first of all the location is prime and the extra interior eating space really adds to the food court. I always passed by the place and looked mad fancy. I finally got a chance to come cuz my friend couldn’t stop talking about it. The set up reminds me of the kind of mini restuarant spaces in Taiwan inside the malls. The prices are decent like everything else in the food court it is affordable. We got the walnut soup with red beans and a sesame with almond tea soup. Both were delicious! Though it was sad we couldn’t try the sweet balls because they only serve it in the winter but we will be back for them! I really loved the unique dessert dishes and they are really good as well! A great find in the food court! Great way to represent the good food in flushing!

Not gonna order from this store again. small portion. Taste bad and also pricy. Mango pancake looks like mango bun. Very disappointed!!!

Someone might argue that this is the fake version, so long as the dessert was good, who cares?! Combo is also a good bargain, with three different desserts calling for around 15 dollars.

The mango sogo didn’t ready have much flavor.

This one is the worst beautiful memories I went to. This woman required us to pay a tip. I was like wtf, they literally had very bad service. the one I went in Brooklyn have an excellent service and they don’t ask for tip. LOL

I would have put 0.5 star if I could!!!
Me and my roomate came here on our way home after school, craving for some dessert. Then I remembered I saw this place sometimes when I went to the food court. It was my mistake.
I thought it would be like inDessert in Chinatown or Mango Mango something but turned out I was wrong. We ordered a mango pancake and 2 combos of fruit, ice cream and sago or jelly smt. The combos were super dissapointing. They were tasteless, neither sweet nor sour. And the pancake was nothing special, just mango in whipped cream.
I don’t know how can people say it’s worth the price. I spent $ 25 for a not-​fancy-​at-​all dessert and they even asked for tip! I mean, this is a food court, in Flushing! And they literally did nothing, besides asking for a 15% tip. Hate it hate it!

My friends and I (4 people including me) decided to give this place a shot since we heard good reviews from this place. They have their own tables inside the small shop, separating themselves from the food court. We ordered Combo 3 and 4 which totaled up to $ 30.48; I’d say the price is pretty high for the desserts compared to other places. The girl on shift during this day wasn’t very welcoming however. I guess that since it was still winter, the mangos had absolutely no taste. It was fairly bland. The Mango Pancake was a disappointment however. I didn’t enjoy it at all. Majority of it was tasteless whip cream. Other than that, the other desserts included in the combos weren’t so bad. After we finished our desserts, the girl demanded that we had to put down tip. It caught us by surprise since she barely did anything!

I have been to Beautiful Memory Desserts twice. Both times I had the vanilla shaved ice with durian and vanilla ice cream.
The first time I was super full because I had eaten at just about every spot in the food court, and it was my first time trying durian, and it was a little hard to enjoy for those two reasons. The next time I was in Flushing, I had a craving for that durian flavor and went back. I’m HOOKED. I made my friend try some of them durian and he really hated it, which seems to be a pretty common reaction. I really like it though. It’s a tough flavor to describe because those who had it thing it smells like gym socks and those who like it think It smells sweet but also a little garlicky. I ate it on the subway and everyone there probably hated me. Oh well. Maybe it’s like cilantro (how some people think it tastes like soap).

Be careful about the brand. It is 新满记甜品，not 满记甜品.
But still could try the durian pancake.
The juicy add almost ¹⁄₃ of water.

Pricey, but very unique desserts. I crave these healthier options sometimes. The desserts are a bit pricey and often there’s a wait. Also there’s parking around! But I keep coming back.

This place is completely overpriced and does not taste as good as it looks.
While eating in the food court I kept staring at the TV screens that showed Andrew Zimmerman eating at one of the chains in Taiwan (I believe?).
Anyways, the place peeked my interest and I was overly excited because I spent 6.00 dollars on a small bowl of mango pomelo sago soup which was bland and just not worth the calories!!!
Not necessary to come back, let down.

I’m pretty sure they’ve changed their name to *Beautiful Memory Dessert* and yes, this place did leave me a beautiful memory!

Tip: Order the combos so you can get a taste of different desserts!
NOTE TO SELF: Must go back to try their Glutonous Mango Balls, which are always SOLD OUT whenever I go!

They have their private seating area inside the food court, only about 12 seats though so only if you are lucky.
The best way to order is to look at the pictures and point. We shared four items from mango, pamelo, durian — all refreshing. They ran out of ice cream (as well as a few other dessert stalls) which was slightly upsetting but the shaved ice was a better choice in my opinion.
Skip the durian though… I think they use the frozen ones and not the real deal.
If you want to feel like you are in Taiwan for a hour or so this would be a good place to be at.
