Red Mango

This was our favorite red mango to go to. Sadly it’s now closed! It had the most flavors including all the greek ones and the fruit was always fresh. Hopefully the new one further up on Main Street will be the same in the future but we went tonight and they barely had anything.

I used to come to this location’s red mango so often when I was back in high school. It was convenient since it was right next to the train station, and it was just a nice place to hang out overall. The frozen yogurt used to be made by a person as well.
It’s a huge plus that it’s now self-​serve so you can have as little or as much of what you want. The only thing is that it’s now overrun by arrogant middle schoolers and freshmen in high school who have no sense of decency. I miss red mango that used to be a fun place to hang at. Other than that, the froyo is good. They have lots of different flavors and toppings to go with it. Be careful though because you might think that your cup isn’t worth a lot until you actually weigh it.

I love this Red Mango because it has all the flavors I like! The fruit is always a great quality — never soft or spoiled. This location also had a big seating area in the back. The only negative is that I have to pay for parking in the municipal lot or street to go here — but it’s worth it!

Love the Red Mango’s on Roosevele Ave. It’s in a place that’s super convenient to meet people up or hangout since it’s right by the 7train stop. The staff is also friendly and nice, the seating will get crowded depending on the time of day but it’s mostly clean with a nice ambience. I really like pomengrante or mango with bobas and granola. The parfaits are worth it too, it’s really filling.

I love Red Mango frozen yogurt, it is the best. Green tea froyo is my all time favorite. This location has plenty of seating and it is always spotless. The staff always greats you as you enter and they are relatively friendly. The fruits are always cut fresh daily and the environment is comfortable. This place used to be served by the workers who made my frozen yogurt exceptionally great all the time but it is now a self serve, which is also great as well because I get to control how much yogurt and toppings I want. I’ve been coming here for the past 5 years and will always continue to come for their amazing yogurt and drinks !

Red mango in my opinion is wayyyyyyyy overrated. I have yet to like any flavor I have tried here… I’m more of a 16 Handles, 40 Carrots type of girl… I’d rather go to Pinkberry than red mango even.
Before you purchase taste it or you’ll be upset you paid.

This red mango finally has self service, which in my opinion is awesome. I don’t go to this red mango often since they are always limited on their flavors. Only four and they get it for you and you’re charged by how many toppings.
So since they got the new machines, it’s better. I can mix and match any flavors I want. And put as many different toppings as I want.
And the usual, it’s weighted and you pay.
Nothing too special about the whole thing.
Service is Okay. I mean now they have less to do.
I just like that this location had self serve now. :)
I just buy and go. Don’t stay since it is flushing and lots of kids would be around.

So, I went to the website got the gift card for my cousin and got the $ 5 free. My gift is an email voucher and i got an electronic gift card for my cousin. We go to this location which is the only one near us and they tell us «THEIR SYSTEM IS TOO OLD AND CANNOT TAKE OUR ELECTRONIC GIFT CARDS» $%^&*&$#$%^&*
Now we both have to go out of our way find a Red Mango that would accept this… What the $%^&*(%$%^&*(

I LOVE frozen yogurt!!! I have always been a Pinkberry fan but there appears to be more and more Red Mango locations and less of Pinkberry locations. I don’t know when it started happening but I am slowly converting to be a Red Mango fan also. Sorry Pinkberry! But I must say that I currently like to eat both frozen yogurts. I think Red Mango is slightly attracting me more because they have the new Popping Boba topping! =X In any event, I don’t think I would eat any other frozen yogurt besides for Pinkberry or Red Mango.
In particularly to this Red Mango, I enjoy coming to this here for a refreshing dessert after having dinner in Flushing. I always can’t seem to finish any dessert because I get full very easily but the Red Mango frozen yogurt is so light that I am able to finish it all by myself. #smiles and *pat self on back* This Red Mango is very clean and spacious. The staff is friendly to customers. The toppings are always fresh tasting and looking.
Note: Try the NEW Piña Colada Frozen Yogurt. It isn’t bad, but I still like the original though.

This Red Mango location has a lot of seating and space so I prefer coming here. Staff is relatively nice. Store is always spotless and they don’t get too busy.
Rather come here than the locations where I get half a seat and am elbowing someone every time I scoop my froyo. I can comfortably have a seat to myself and enjoy a conversation with someone and actually hear them while I enjoy my yummy original with mangos and mochi!

I like this Red Mango more than most of the other NYC locations because it is spacious, clean, never crowded, has quick service and the flavors here are consistent.
The Red Mango in LES comes in second. The one in K-​town is just terrible, despite that I love that it is self serve, all the flavors are off and at times just gross. Flushing definitely has the most consistently good red mango flavors.
I don’t ever go to Red Mango when I’m in California, because there are so many other great options, but in NYC it is one of the better froyo options.

I’m not a huge fan of frozen yogurt, so I can’t really say how much I like Red Mango compared to the other froyo places. I do know that my friend likes to bring girls to Red Mango on dates because apparently girls love frozen yogurt, so that in itself deserves a four-​star review.
But I don’t trust anyone else’s judgement on dessert/​sweets more than my girlfriend’s, and Red Mango isn’t one of her top choices, so three stars it is for A-​OK.
The location itself is large and spacious, and it’s located right outside the 7-​train, and also just a block away from the large municipal parking lot.

This Red Mango location in the heart of Flushing is large and spacious with plenty of seating. It is clean and the décor is simple. It is a great place to sit down with friends and share a frozen yogurt. It doesn’t seem to get too crowded either which is nice. And it is relatively quiet. The staff is quick and efficient and always greet you with a smile when you walk in the door.
I usually get the same thing– mango frozen yogurt with fresh mango, popping boba, and mochi. I love their frozen yogurt because it has just the right amount of tartness and creaminess. Plus, I can never get enough mango, hence the mango-​flavored yogurt and fresh mango topping. Popping boba is a relatively new concept to me. They look like the tapioca pearls that you get in bubble tea but taste nothing like that! The boba literally pop in your mouth when you bite into them, releasing a squirt of juicy goodness. The boba come in an assortment of flavors– I’ve tried strawberry, mango, and lychee– but only one flavor is offered each day. I’ve heard that they have passion fruit flavor. YUM! I like that the mochi adds little bits of chewiness.
Given the fact that this Red Mango location is right by my bus stop, I will def be back!

I’ve grown to love this place. Usually get Regular sized mango with granola.

Red Mango is just another reason on why life is worth living when you’re down. Who doesn’t like frozen yogurt?
It’s like a journey coming over to Flushing to get Red Mango sometimes. Luckily, they have opened a Red Mango in Astoria but even if I’m all the way on Union St. or all the way up in College Point, I make the extra effort to go to Red Mango and get myself the largest cup they can give me (even if it means a drinking cup).
Everything is great here, they have fresh toppings, great frozen yogurt, so why am I giving this location 3 stars? The customer service. The customer service is absolutely horrible and unprofessional. The guys behind the counter are decent to a merit, but the girls never flash a smile and barely show any sign of kindness (excluding doing their job taking my orders correctly). Are women more unhappy than men in customers service?
I never get a «Hi» or «Thank You», which is pretty normal when I’m in Flushing. But I do recall a time when I bought a spoonable smoothie and although it was full of granolas and other contents, the smoothie outweighed everything and I was taking it home, they handed it to me without a lid. I asked a girl behind the counter for a lid and the answer I got was, «Do you want a lid?» in a rude tone. I wouldn’t be asking if I didn’t want one, would I?
Aside from the customer service, this location has one of the most cozy, warm, contemporary atmospheres I’ve seen. They have comfy couches, and nice lighting.

I love froyo and try to get it anytime it presents itself. Red Mango is much sweeter and creamier than Pinkberry. This might be a good thing for others, but it’s not my personal preference. I usually get the original with strawberries and mochi (when available).
Good but not great. The male behind the counter was also a bit unfriendly. Tried the raspberry cheesecake flavor… not a fan.

Red Mango provides a great after dinner spot to linger around some more, especially if you’re coming from a hole in the wall spot like I usually do. This location is as spacious as all the others. A young crowd that’s a lot more tamed, you’ll know what I mean if you ever stepped into the Quickly next door, it’s like a mad house in there. I usually get the medium, original, with unlimited toppings, which is around $ 5. I’ve tried the dark chocolate flavor here for the first time and I prefer the original better, since it goes better with all the toppings. Parfaits are great on the go snacks and it’s even yogurt to fruit ratio.

I think the whole Pink Berry VS Red Mango war is pretty simple: if you like it tart, go for Pinkberry! If you like it light, go for Red Mango! Also, the sweet flavor yogurts are pretty decent in Pinkberry, and the sour flavor yogurts are pretty yums in Red Mango. It’s not rocket science, peepo!
Since both stores have pretty much the same toppings & pricing now, it’s hard to continue the war. So the best thing to do is to just base reviews on each individual location, right? This particular Red Mango is spacious and clean. There are lots of seatings and the store closes before 11PM, so it serves as a decent sit-​down dessert spot. Yogurt is great when you’re feeling full after a meal!
The staff is friendly, music selection is cool (usually a little too loud though), and bathroom A-​OK. Among the staff that serves yogurt, one gender usually gives more topping than the other. I’ll leave that for you guys to find out which is which, heh heh.

The truth of the matter is that I have never been to a Red Mango before in my life, nor a Pinkberry for that matter. I know they are everywhere, but I kindly sat out the ensuing war between these franchises. Eventually though I found myself in a group and subjected to groupthink and had my first Red Mango experience this past Sunday. Verdict? Delicious! Why did I wait so long?
They had a special pumpkin flavor available which intrigued me. I opted for a regular size cup of the pumpkin yogurt which came with a complimentary dusting of graham crackers. I additionally added small Ghirardelli chocolate chips. Just a word of caution, apparently «regular» translates into huge. My portion size was so large, I was amazed I could finish it. Fortunately the yogurt was pretty tasty, so I had a good time. The chocolate was pretty good too. Additionally one has a very nice selection of fresh fruits to choose from which is wonderful if you are into that sort of thing.
The location itself was spacious with ample seating for our large party. I will have to include them in the regular rotation.

I came here with a friend since she thinks its better than Pinkberry. We ended up sharing the Tangomonium. Red Mango’s frozen yogurt is more tart than Pinkberry but the Tangomonium is definitely a mystery flavor. I wasn’t in the mood for anything tart so I didn’t get to enjoy the Tangomonium as much. I still prefer Yogurtland over all other competitors.
The service was a bit slow since there was only 1 worker vs 8 customers. There was plenty of seating but the tables weren’t balanced so it would move whenever someone places their arm on the table. Price-​wise it is cheaper than Pinkberry but more expensive than Yogurtland.
