Courtyard Foothill Ranch Irvine East/Lake Forest

Their ice machine was broken, and many doors down. The noise came through our AC vents and was so loud that none of us could sleep the entire night. We politely informed the front desk of the issue and asked to move rooms, to which they replied that they were all booked. This being while the parking lot was about half full. Terrible customer service. Will never come back.

Second time staying at the Courtyard — this time they had remodeled the fourth floor. It was nice the first time — but the second time they finally got the final touches.
1) they added extra outlets, everywhere! All the lamps had outlets on them! It was great. Both my parents have CPAP to wear at night so we need as many outlets we can get! It was nice not to run out.
2) In a family of 4 it was really nice having more mirrors OUTSIDE the bathroom! It was so nice having the extra mirrors to get ready in the morning while the bathroom was occupied.
3) As always it’s always been a smoke free environment — which we are so thankful for.
4) And they staff has always been kind and gracious.

I would give this location a 5 but for a few reasons. On the plus side, we had terrific service from the front desk. Our son’s wedding was nearby and we booked 4 rooms. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful in sorting out the room assignments. On the negative side, there’s a lot of motors running, and the low noise and vibration are noticeable at night. We’d stay again.

When we arrived at the location, the first thing we said about it was that it had a Starbucks within walking distance. As soon as we walked into the lobby, we were greeted very kindly and the lobby area was great. We got our keys and went to our room and we were very happy and shocked with the newness of the room and the size of it! Everything about the hotel, room, and location is what made our short stay well worth it. It’s about 25 minutes away from Disneyland. Plus, there is a Target and Walmart about a mile away and other convenient stores and eateries close-​by. Parking is free and easy, at the moment the parking lot is empty.

I stay in a lot if Courtyards and each is only as good as its staff. The folks here were top notch. Warm, welcoming, and professional. I would stay again.
Location is excellent, easy access, and good restaurants just out the door if you don’t feel like venturing out.
Only complaint is not the fault if the location, but the guest room furniture is torture. It is common to this generation of Courtyard, but until these are updated i will continue to complain.

This place is perfectly fine.
If you want a better painting and a first class service, pay extra and go to a better hotel! No need to give 1−2stars when you’re not willing to pay $$$$. For the rate they charge, this hotel is great.
I travel a lot for work and I’ve been to various marriott and spg hotels. I’m just glad parking isn’t a headache here, its free and its easy! I also like how there are shops or quick snack, coffee and meals right next to the hotel.
You get what you pay for: Clean room, great prompt service, nice lobby, free parking and free wifi.

Changed rooms three times 1^st room found a pill a double A battery and a pubic hair… second room found a French fry shard of glass a quarter and fingernail clippings in the third and final room we found a dirty sock and decided that this was probably as clean as it was going to get luckily my three yo son doesn’t put pills in his mouth. The night shift gal at the desk I believe her name was Alison was super helpful and assisted us with a room change. We promised our three yo a swim in the pool went to the spa to relax and it was off and Cold also not kept in balance. After our terrible stay the solution was to comp our two Pepsi drinks and an ice cream… worst Marriott stay ever… I’ve even stayed in Dubai and Bahrain

There is a horrible stinch in the rooms. Have asked to move once already and the 2^nd room is not any better. It smells like a nursing home and the décor might as well have come from there too. This place is disgusting.

Pros: Great value, clean & modern rooms, very comfortable bed, free & ample parking, next to freeway, free wifi, variety of places to eat nearby, Starbucks onsite, 20 mins from Disneyland, quick service, refrigerators in rooms. Would definitely stay here again even though it’s 20 mins to Disneyland compared to dingy/​old Disney good neighbor hotels.
Cons: Sofa bed didn’t have linens, no extra pillows, no lotion (was told they were running low)

Very nice Courtyard.
Pro’s: Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Heated pool & hot tub. Free parking. Located off the toll road near a lot of food & retail options.
Con’s: None.
Side note: I happened to be in town to compete in a triathlon. After the race I arrived back at the hotel dirty, exhausted, and also 10 minutes before check out time. The front desk receptionist took one look at me and extended my check out ‘as long as I needed’. I only took an extra hour but I didn’t have to drive back to LA a stinky, sweaty mess. THANK YOU!

Best hotel staff ever! Excellent service from check-​in to check-​out. Our rooms smell fresh and crisp clean. Tim at the front desk was very helpful accommodating our requests making the last day of kids spring break so much more fun! The kids enjoyed the pool so much, they don’t want to go home! We will surely come back! Highly recommended!

This is a very nice, up to date, centrally located Marriott just off the Toll Road in upper Lake Forest, near Rancho Santa Margarita.
We found parking a breeze and great place for a stay-​cation, or a jumping off spot for nearby attractions. It’s about seven or eight miles from the City of Irvine and the Spectrum Mall. In the other direction, about seven or eight miles from San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point.
Well, maybe a little farther. LOL

Nice new hotel. We had a problem with our first room, they moved us without a problem.
We had a large party, 15 of us or so with lots of kids. They were extremely accommodating. This is definitely where we will be staying when we come to town.

Just arrived and check in was a breeze. Room is clean and looks good. Michelle at the counter was very nice and friendly. Makes you want to hangout around check in longer. I’ll finish up my review after I check out tomorrow morning. Cheers.
Okay, just checked out. The room was fairly quiet all night. Bed was comfortable. Tv worked great. Internet was nice and strong in the room and wandering around the property.
My only complaint is the sound of the neighboring rooms shower. It’s pretty loud. If you’re staying next to a 3am shower person it could be bothersome. I only heard my neighbor in the morning so it wasn’t a big deal.
I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking in the area. Plenty of great places to eat and shop nearby including a Starbucks in the same parking lot. Cheers.

I really enjoyed this property when I was in town recently. My family is spread out all along Southern California and this was a nice halfway point. It’s in an industrial part of town with lots of business that make it quiet and peaceful at night. I had a view of Saddleback Mountains from my room and even though they brew Starbucks coffee in the lobby bistro, there is a real one in the same parking lot which I took advantage of almost every morning I was there.
This was a rare trip without my husband and I loved taking up an entire king sized bed to myself each night. I slept like a rock! My only gripe about the room was no food network or cooking channel (shame on you Marriott), but! They do have HGTV so all was not lost.
The maids were kind but hit or miss with consistency. The first day I got there my room was clean but the trash bin hadn’t been emptied near the desk area. My room was only cleaned once during my 3 night stay, but I keep my room tidy and reuse my towels anyway so it didn’t bother me all that much. I did have to call the front desk when I was about to shower and noticed they had restocked my bathroom with three shower gels and no shampoo or conditioner. They were apologetic about it though and sent someone up within minutes so it was fine.
The staff here were really great. One evening before bed I grabbed a large bottle of Aquafina from their market area and proceeded to try and open it while making my hand raw for the next 20 minutes in my room. Seriously, why are those so difficult?! I sulked my embarrassed self down to the front desk for assistance and to my relief he just laughed and said in the few months he has worked there that’s happened multiple times. Thank god! I felt a little less like an idiot and thought he was very sweet to assure me it wasn’t just me. Just a note Marriott, get easier to open waters!

I am picky about hotels. Things that irritate me the most are showers that are gross or hard to figure out, sticky carpet and windows that wont actually open. Well, here I am, in a clean bed with such comfortable mattress, a giant LG TV, a large window, open to let the fresh air in. Everything is clean, very clean. Well appointed and nice.
I had a great workout in the well equipped fitness room, then took a lovely swim in a refreshing pool and sat in a deep hot tub. All of this after checking in, being given top notch treatment by a gentleman named Alex at the front desk, then arriving to a very nice QUIET room, so clean. SO very clean. Then, time to work and finding easy internet access, had a great teleconference with my work team and all from a great chair at a fine desk. Plenty of conveniently placed outlets, a cold refrigerator, again – clean! Quiet air conditioner, easy to operate thermostat. After a great swim, into the clean clean shower, which was very simple to figure out and supplied plenty hot water with lots of water pressure. I am well pleased with the color palate in the room. There are quite a few restaurants right out the door here. One of which has fish tacos that were quite the tasty lunch!

Utterly disappointed of the management and HR at this courtyard, my husband and i witness at house keeping manager (betty, if i remember correctly) physically and emotionally abusing one of her staff members a year and a half ago (in our room); we proceed to report the incident to both the HR and management.
To my surprise she was STILL working there, this past 4^th of July weekend. I will NEVER stay at another Marriott again, it’s a shame that such company would stand behind this and not investigate further into this matter or at least have her suspended (i know this because they never contacted me for written statement.

This was the Best Mothers Day our family has had in years. Maybe ever. We all met at the Marriott in Lake Forest. We gathered there from AZ and the Bay Area.
The staff was so welcoming and helpful. We will return for our next reunion because of the way they treated us.
It was prom night and they still kept things under control.
When we would return to the Hotel they greeted us like we were their family. The desk managers get an A+
The rooms were so lovely and clean with all the amenities we would want.
It seems this Hotel is for corporate guests during the week days.
It was nice and quiet on the weekend. It was located close but not in the hustle and bustle of Lake Forest. Maybe 5 – 10 minutes to all the restaurants.
Thanks to this great friendly hotel we all left with a great big YES. and a see you next holiday.
