Hampton Inn Irvine/East Lake Forest

One of my favorite hotels in Southern California. The staff is courteous, friendly and helpful. The housekeeping is excellent. And the location is wonderful! Currently my «home» hotel and will be again in the future, I’m sure.

My family travel to California for business and we stayed here for 5 days. What we like about this hotel was people were friendly. Especially Barbara, Barbara was the one who take care of us and made us welcome. Good complimentary breakfast here. Few things that they have to improve was changing bed sheet which is not quite clean and maintenance. We requested to fix the bathtub cause the water drain very slow but still the same after they fixed. My husband had to fixed it himself. Another thing that i like about this hotel was it’s so close to the mall and restaurant. So far this place clean not too bad.

Friendly staff, great location. Very nice breakfast selection each morning. We were in town for a conference at Saddleback. Barbara who serves in the breakfast area was outstanding!!! SO friendly and warm. Made each morning such a pleasant experience. Barbara always went above and beyond for all the guest.

Thank you Barbara for your smile and warmth every morning of our stay! You went the extra mile every day from finding tables for a guest to bringing out mustard for a guest even though mustard is not a part of the regular inventory. Barbara you are a joy!, thank you!

I stayed here last weekend. I was coming from out of town and needed to arrive early in order to change before an event. I called a few days before to let the hotel know, and Katie said to call her before I drove down there, and she would put housekeeping on it to get my room ready. I arrived, my room was ready, and she also gave me some print outs of restaurants in the area. She was very helpful and made it a great check in experience. The other hotel staff were friendly and terrific as well. I had a first floor king bed room, and it was great. My friend and I used the pool and jacuzzi and they were nice as well. The free breakfast was good, and offered a lot of different options. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be back.

Speedy check in and they were able to accommodate a special request we had. Big clean comfy beds and management went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks Hampton Inn. You earned another happy customer. And yes the cookies were good !

Location and price are good… Management poor! Seemed overwhelmed and unprepared. Called down for towels, front desk person said he is by himself and if I needed towels, I’d have to come get them myself…

okay hotel cause free breakfast… but awful cause got stuck in elevator for an hour and fire department had to come.

This facility is doing a mini facelift. I had to check in at the last minute because my home was under construction. So I had to take what was available. My Check-​In was fast and friendly. He did forget to tell me the 3^rd floor ice machine was out of order. I had to walk to the 2^nd floor.
My room was RIGHT next to the elevator. OMG. The noise! I thought it was construction and would end. It was the elevator. And it runs ALL night. I wanted to cry.
I recorded the awful noise and played it for the Manager. She was very sweet and understanding. They know that I’ve had great stays prior and gave me great customer service. I also informed her of a few things that should be tweaked in the room.
I was happy to see the same Lady working the kitchen area. She was still all smiles, helpful and friendly.
So, I will be back. And I may have to hide a Celebrity in a couple of weeks… this would be perfect.

Another great Hampton, 5 stars all the way because of the nice lady that cleans up kitchen area after breakfast. We stayed out by the pool all day and she kept our cold water classes full and made sure we had clean towels all day long. Awesome service!

one of the best Hampton experiences i’ve had. used to travel a lot for work and would occasionally get put up in a Hampton — they were always pretty decent, but this location really is great. the staff is really friendly and very accomodating — especially the «breakfast hostess.» Hamptons include a hot breakfast bar with the room, and it can get pretty hectic in the mornings with everyone wanting to make waffles or get their coffee. she handles the traffic, keeps it clean, and is super-​friendly. check-​in desk is equally as courteous and helpful. just wish the manager wasn’t so rude to her staff; guess they ignore her bad attitude and stay postive for the clientele!
clean room (including washed top bedspreads — a plus if you stay in hotels), spacious bathroom, comfy bed, easy climate control, and free wi-​fi and in-​room coffee. all the little things add up to a great stay.
location is also pretty convenient esp if you don’t have a car, since there’s plenty of shopping/​dining within walking distance.

We stay in Hampton Inns all the time seeing my husband travels for work. We stayed for 1 week at this one. The staff here was fabulous, but the maid service is the worst we’ve ever had. The room did not get vacuumed and by the 3^rd day I couldn’t find a card to leave on the bed requesting fresh sheets, so I hand wrote a note and they still didn’t get changed. To me, that is inexcusable. So to me, the uncleaned room trumped great staff.

We decided to go in a trip last minute so most of the Hilton hotel brands are already booked. This hotel was one of the few that still has a room and was actually inexpensive.
As we drive going to the hotel, it was far from the area we wanted to be. So when we got to the hotel, I asked the hotel attendant Matthew if we can cancel and be moved to another Hampton inn. He didn’t even give me a hard time and just asked for my name and told I wouldn’t be charged cancellation fee.
He was also courteous enough to let me us the computer so I can find another hotel to check in too. Very great customer service!!!
Just what I would like to receive during my hotel stay. I wouldn’t mind staying at this hotel should I need to stay close to this area!!!

The staff here are incredibly nice and the hotel is clean, well kept and comfortable. Plus the continental breakfast is always fully stocked and there’s always coffee. Pretty much all you could ask for in a hotel.

Probably one of the better Hamptons I’ve stayed at recently. Nice breakfast plus some snacks on arrival.
Check in was a breeze, actually noted that I was a Hilton Honors member. Room was spacious, fresh, and hey, it was a nice price in a decent location.
No complaints, everyone was friendly, plenty of parking and close to shopping. I would probably stay there again, if I’m in that part of the OC.

I stayed here for a few days while working in the OC. This Hampton is next door to an HGI, which I would much rather stay at, but the price was $ 20 more a night and that wasn’t gonna happen. Thankfully, this is one of the updated Hamptons. The breakfast area is really small but as per my usual, I skip the breakfast and grab one of their breakfast to go bags with a muffin, a granola bar, a water and an apple.
The location was fine — close to a lot of restaurants and shopping and very quiet. Staff was super helpful and friendly.
I’d stay here again if I was working in the area, but only if the HGI was more expensive.

Ac don’t work need renovation badly

Had to be in the area for some business training and I definitely made the right choice. While this ain’t the Four Seasons and you shouldn’t expect it to be, it’s nicer than most hotels in its price class. They have coffee and infused waters in the clean and bright lobby at all times. The front desk was extremely polite and friendly. When I got to my room, it was totally clean — and I’m pretty critical about hotel room cleanliness. They provide a great solid suitcase rack (not one of those chintzy metal folding deals), a comfy armchair and a desk. None of the furniture, carpet or upholstery was stained. There was a card on the bed stating they wash their sheets AND the duvet between every guest. If you think this is nbd, you are in a sad state of denial. Most hotels don’t wash the outer bedding very often. I always check the mattrress and box spring for bed bugs — they were both spotless.
The hotel is within walking distance of a little strip with a cute wine bar, a couple of pizza places, a Starbucks, bagel joint and a Wahoo’s.
I haven’t experienced the breakfast yet but any hotel that at least gives me something to fill up my tummy for free is right by me. They also offer Breakfast Bags to Go if you’re in a hurry in the morning. I will stay here whenever I’m in the area.

First impressions are lasting ones. So, to start off with a comment that made my boyfriend and I raise an eyebrow at each other during check-​in, put them at a disadvantage.
I’m far from the chick to pull race cards and trip about that type of shit. However, when my brown ass walked in WITH my white boyfriend — we stood at the counter, TOGETHER. The front desk chick gets my credit card and starts the transaction. then looks up at my boyfriend and says «I’ll be with you in a minute sir»
Huh? What?
Bitch, you know you saw us standing there right next to each other. I get it. it’s Orange County… there aren’t many mixed couples running around. so I understand it must be confusing to see us together in your land of caucasia.
Bad taste left in mouth and all. we head to the 1^st room.
It was on the 1^st floor, which I hated from the moment she told me. But, we were only in town for a night so, no biggie. I fire up the A/​C and the smoke from the people outside came rushing through the vents. Eww. get me out of here!
Turn in that key — get a room on the 2^nd floor.
Walk into that room. no need to even turn anything on. not even a light… it reeked of smoke. What the fuck? I thought this was a non-​smoking hotel?!
Turned THAT key in — finally got a cigarette-​smoke-​free room on the 3^rd floor.
The bed was comfy, the amenities were clean. it served its purpose. The towels were not plush at all and each towel had a different texture of crappiness.
I went down to the complimentary breakfast, but the only appetizing items were the orange juice and the Yoplait yogurt. The eggs were round pellets of egg product and there was a mountain of soggy bagels topped with bacon and cheese sitting in the next pan. I took a pass on both.
Was happy to depart early the next morning and head back to the Bay Area where people like «us» fit right the fuck in.

The Hampton Inn is not a fancy Hotel with room service and suites. It is an upper middle class hotel with either a Queen, King, or Double Queen bed setup. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy.
The stay comes with a complimentary hot breakfast at 6:00 which no other like hotels will do. Also they offer free wireless internet on the premises.
They have a pool and jacuzzi that are heated year round. The staff is very, very friendly and will do whatever you want them to do if you ask. Rooms have a microwave and mini fridge in the room.
This is just a very nice hotel for the price. Rooms start at 89.00 on the weekends which is a steal for this area. Weekdays are more becuase they cater to business. Great spot to stay.
