Love this salon! I’ve been coming to Erik Alan Davis Salon since December 2015 and I have to say they are by far the best hair salon experience I have ever had! Erik, the owner, is amazing at his craft. His staff is ultra friendly and courteous. You are always greeted with a friendly smile and a beverage menu. My stylist Jeanmarie has managed to color my hair beyond my expectations! I highly recommend this salon. Everyone from the owner to the Jr. stylists do an awesome job!!!

I’ve never dozed off during a shampoo before, but OMG… I had one of the top 3, if not 2 shampoos I’ve ever had with Arturo at Erik Alan Davis Salon. Jeanmarie is definitely a go– to. Her blow outs are on point and it lasts a few days. Very sweet that they acknowledged my birthday and I’ve only been there 3x.

5 stars for relaxing modern ambiance; 5 stars for a cut that brought life to my hair and stayed «fresh» for longer than any cut I’ve had. This cut is twice as expensive as others, but lasts twice as long… so treat yourself and visit Erik!
Note-​I showed Erik what I wanted the finished product to look like, and trusted him to choose a cut that would give me the volume and movement I wanted. I also have to thank the salon for accommodating my busy schedule and providing appointments later in the evenings during the work week.

Hi Everyone! I visited this salon a couple weeks ago. They were so nice, Salon was so quiet and clean. I got information that day about my hair. They gave me very helpful information. I decided to go there for highlight. And I called them for appointment. Lady told me on the phone. She needs credit card information. I asked for what. She said we do not want to take your time when you arrive here. But you did not do anything for my hair and you are wanting from me credit card information. While you are not trusting me, how am I trust you for my hair. My hair is more valuable then 300 usd. How can I trust you? If people do not have money of course they are not going to your salon. I went to many times on las Olas hair salon and they never ask me that information. And this is United States, most important thing customer satisfaction. And one more thing you are not loosening 300 usd, because if you are doing good job. This lady is one employee and she is representing your saloon so it will be good if you teach to her how to improve her education with the customers.

I’m new to the Ft. Lauderdale scene and have not had any success in finding a suitable stylist within the 6 months I’ve lived here. A good friend of mine recommended this place, she has amazing hair and looks nothing short of perfect every time I see her. As you can see from my 5 star review I couldn’t be any happier!
First let me say the salon is very clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly. This is true quality customer service. Hanne at the front desk knew exactly who I was when I walked in. I did a little research on Erik and felt a little nervous and embarrassed at the quality of my hair but I figured he must love this type of challenge. He was so regular with me and made me feel at ease. He gave me an amazing scalp massage and cocktailed an oil treatment. By the way, this salon uses Kerastase which is the B E S T for hair. BEST. As expected he gave me a great cut but what I didn’t expect was how informative he was about the whole process. He gave me a breakdown of everything he was doing, the type of oils, why he did it, why he did a preliminary cut before the shampoo, which product does what as he applied, the whole nine yards. It was an expensive cut but priced relatively well for the quality style and service you’re getting. I look at it as an investment. You wear your hair everyday, I spend this much on a good pair of shoes and twice the amount for a bag. It’s so worth it!

Let me start by saying that the staff at the front desk is spectacular, very friendly and pleasant. In regards to the service the shampoo and hair treatment felt great even though I feel that the hair treatment did not improve my hair at all. The Salon is nice. Now the down fall… I recently moved to Ft. Lauderdale from Providence, RI. In the Northeast things are known to be higher priced than here in the South that is just reality, cost of living is more there. I had the same hair stylist for over 10 years, she had been doing my hair since I went to RI from CT for college. I had a bad haircut and she fixed my hair and I went to her ever since then. She gave me a deal for being a long time client and having brought new clientele to her salon via referrals. Now with all that said moving away and not being able to have her do my hair was very difficult for me and I did tons of research to find whom I thought was the best of the best in Ft Lauderdale to do my hair, no matter the cost. Back to the drawing board I go. Erik himself did my hair. I explained what I wanted and showed pics of what I liked; needless to say $ 450 later I am very disappointed at the turnout. I had the lived in color done with a trim and a free hair treatment. In my eyes my hair barley looks any different than prior to the $ 450 hair appt. Every time I went to my hair stylist in RI I would leave looking as though I belonged on a hair commercial and my hair would be so great and nice until I was due for my next appointment. She always gave me excellent trims and hair treatments that left my hair healthy, shiny, soft, and full of life. She also always gave my hair great colors and highlights. Having have paid a «master stylist» a pretty penny I would have thought my hair would look spectacular and I was very sadly mistaken. The same week I had my hair done I still had tons of split ends and it seemed flat and I have very good volume in my hair, so much for the $ 135 trim and the free treatment. I would never have had split ends after a hair appointment with my hair stylist in RI. It actually would have cost me less to take a round trip flight to RI and have my hair stylist there do my hair and now I wish I had done that instead. Not only am I extremely disappointed by the turnout of the expensive Salon visit but also as an Accountant it was such a waste of money. My hair is desperately in need of TLC from a hair stylist who actually knows how to take care of hair and have it look amazing and it is very annoying to me that this is the case. I hope to find someone amazing in Ft Lauderdale or Miami so I don’t have to fly back to RI every time I need to get my hair done. I would NOT recommend this Salon to anyone I know due to my bad experience and it’s sad because if Erik had done a spectacular job on my hair and made me feel more comfortable in his chair he would have had a long term loyal customer and I would have recommended him to all my family, friends, & colleagues I know in Florida.

A friend recommended this salon to me when I was having issues with my current one and I went for the first time this past weekend. Erik is amazing… not only is he intuitive, he listened to what I had to say and I was really pleased with the result. As for the salon… all I can say is «spa-​like.» From the time I walked in the door, I was treated with professionalism and kindness. The lengthy scalp massage and hot face towel while I was being shampooed was amazing… I just can’t say enough good things about Erik, his staff and the salon. Make an appointment. You will not be disappointed. That’s a promise!

I have to say I am extremely pleased with this salon. Erik is an amazing stylist and his staff are so kind, professional and welcoming. I moved from Connecticut a year and a half and it took me an entire year to finally find a good stylist. I came to his salon with such brittle dry hair. My hair was uneven and it was breaking off. Since I’ve been going to him my hair is finally getting healthy and growing again. He cares about his clients and really has a passion for what he does. I give his salon 5 stars!

I found the Eric Allan Davis Salon by looking online and reading reviews so I would like to submit this review to help others who may be out there searching.
My last appointment was my third appointment with Eric at Eric Allan Davis Salon and as usual, I came away very pleased. On my first appointment, I told Eric that I had been having issues with a dry scalp. I have been to other, excellent, stylists with the same complaint and have left with a ton of expensive product that are not effective. Erick did a treatment for my scalp that was second to none and product that I bought actually helps and corrects the situation, a first. He seems to use only the best products that are healthy for your hair. He cut my hair exactly as I asked but in subsequent appointments, we worked together so by my third appointment I left with the perfect hair style. Eric changed my color a bit so that it looks and feels more natural. Eric is an accomplished professional and a true artist.
Everyone in the salon is professional and genuinely caring and friendly. Although I have not used anyone but Eric, judging from looking around, all the stylist seem excellent. The salon is relaxing and clean with easy parking; you are given a menu of choices of drinks. It is easy to make an appointment on line and the front desk does an excellent job at communicating. One gets the sense that this is a salon that has a mission to be the best. Kudos to all at the Eric Allan Davis Salon.

While the price tag could be considered steep I felt it was 100% worth it. Keep in mind: this not a mall salon or your stereotypical Las Olas tourist trap. If you’re worried about the cost then check out their website in advance and be informed prior to walking in.
This is a world class salon with a beautiful atmosphere, professional staff and amazing products. I have and will continue to refer my friends and family to Erik.

I don’t typically do reviews, however, today I was so happy with my service that I couldn’t wait to get on Unilocal and post about my experience.
Erin… saved the day. I have been growing my hair out from a «Victoria Beckham» bob for 7 years. My hair is long and fine, and after recently giving birth, thin at the ends. I have been going to my regular stylist at an upscale salon on Las Olas every month for the past few months to trim it and clean it up while my thin hair fills in. She had been doing a fabulous job and I was getting a lot of compliments on my hair since she had been doing it, so I didn’t hesitate at all when I went in for a good trim at the end of last week. When I got home, I noticed that the front didn’t look right (I didn’t ask to change the cut at all, just to trim it like I had been every time prior: Straight across the back, soft angling in the front). I returned the following day and asked my stylist to take a look at it. She said that it looked great, but that there was one little piece that needed trimmed. She does a quick snip, tweaks it a bit, then declares it «perfect.» I glance in the mirror, then rush out. When I get home, I take a closer look, part and style it a little… and am horrified. My stylist did not make my hair better, she made it worse: She cut a big chunk right out of the front. I immediately rush out of the house to a nearby salon that says that I’m either going to have to loose length off my whole head to fix it or that I’m just going to have to deal with it until it grows out. I don’t want to cut my freshly cut waist-​length hair any shorter, so I drive home in tears, then show my husband who immediately notices that a «chunk is missing from your hair» before I even have to point it out. The fact that my husband even notices the problem says that it must be pretty obvious. He suggested I go to a different salon (salon #3), and have them clean it up the best they can without letting them take off any length until it grows in enough to fix it. I text photos to my stylist to show her the issue; she didn’t respond. I cried some more, then pulled it back with a bobby pin so I wouldn’t have to look at it.
So, first thing this morning, I drive to Erik Alan Davis Salon. I had only been there once before over a year prior for a blow dry when I couldn’t get an appointment at my usual spot; I originally noticed it next door to where I get waxed. I had liked the environment, I liked the staff, and the blow dry was very nice, so I went back. Immediately, the front desk welcomes me, sets me up with Erin and offers me a beverage. Erin looks at my hair, tells me the problem, and tells me how she is going to remedy it without taking off much of the length… only a bit off the back to even it out, as the back had been cut crooked. They gave me a shampoo and a complimentary hair treatment. It was very relaxing and the hot towel they wrapped my hair in felt like heaven. I sat down with Erin, and although I was a nervous wreck and asked her a million questions, she made me feel comfortable and offered me reassurances as she showed/​told me what she was doing while she worked. She took her time and was very meticulous. She was kind and patient. She blew out my hair, triple checked her work and tweaked when necessary.
IT. LOOKED. BEAUTIFUL. And I had kept most of my length as she evened it out. I was stunned. She gave me recommendations for my hair, showed me the products she used on me and explained how they would help me, but wasn’t pushy whatsoever (which I love). While paying my bill, the front desk gave me a really pretty gift bag that they had filled with Kérastase samples, salon information, and a chocolate. It felt very personal and upscale. Again, the environment was clean, beautiful, and very relaxing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the service I received was fantastic… especially given the situation that the stylist had been given to work with.
I would like to thank Erin for her great service and attention to my needs. As a new mother, I don’t always feel great about my appearance. When my hair didn’t look good, it certainly didn’t help my confidence level. After I left the salon, my hair looked really beautiful and I felt great. I will certainly be returning to Erik Alan Davis Salon for my future hair services… I look forward to it.

For the past 7 years I have been consistently disappointed with every hair stylist I have chosen to do my hair. My hair is naturally thin and it is usually hard to manage. Or so I thought, until I made an appointment at the Erik Alan Davis salon. ERIN was amazing and provided exceptional service. I was treated like a queen. She sat me down and we discussed my previous disappointments, my goals for my hair, and what I would like to be done. Anyway, long story short, for the first time in like ever. I was completely satisfied with my hair! I love love love it! It is worth the money. Trust me. Make an appointment with this sweet girl! Also, they make AMAZING coffee! :)

Most excellent experience at Erik Alan Davis salon! This salon is the REAL DEAL. Having been unable to find a place (salon/​barber) to get a truly GREAT haircut for so long I had almost thought it impossible in Ft Lauderdale. Well I am happy to report that is no longer the case! The salon is a beautiful space, comfortable for guys and gals, impeccably clean, and everybody on staff was friendly and welcoming. I was fortunate enough to have Erin as my stylist and she hooked me up with the best haircut I have payed for in years. As a salon industry veteran of 2 decades I can say definitly this is the place to go. The price point for the experience could be much higher than what the salon charges-​also uncommon in a city where things are priced for tourists instead of us locals (way overpriced in so many cases). I felt the entire experience FAR exceeded the cost. To feel this great after a haircut is just what I needed! Awesome shampoo/​scalp massage, complementary beverages, and the perfect balance of professional yet laid back vibe makes it a no brainer.

Had an appointment for color and asked Erik (owner) to tap off my bangs as he had only cut my hair 13 days prior, I didn’t see it as an issue until… I went to pay. After asking the receptionist to brake down the bill Erik charged me $ 25.00 for the bang trim. When I questioned him about it, he stated it was policy. Are you kidding me? Policy? Being a New Yorker I’ve been to high end salon’s. NOT once have I ever been charged for a bang trim ! I’ve been to this shop twice for color and even recommended a friend for a cut. Mind you, my cut was in no means perfect from the start. I spent a lot of money on my color and return every 4 weeks. Policy or just bad business ! NO HIGH END salon charges for bang trims in between cuts.
I guess your just Not A HIGH END SALON after all !!!

Erik was amazing! His entire team is extremely professional and courteous. The response that I had received from my initial email inquiry set the stage for the experience that I was about to receive. I had called to schedule a consultation to discuss color correction for my hair. I had visited a God Awful Salon (on Commercial) and had a horrendous experience. My hair was 3 different colors and the other salon offered nothing to correct nor compensate me.
Erik meticulously matched the «proper» color of my hair using various samples until he found the perfect one. He took his time and worked with his assistant — who was very friendly and accommodating as well. I asked when we can schedule the color and he said right now. AWESOME!
They applied the color, correcting the other salon’s mistake and applied a gloss to perfect the color and give it an incredible shine. I am thrilled with the results. They renewed my faith in a salon with exceptional people that provide great service. I will definitely come back. I said that I feel like a normal person again. I found my salon and my outstanding stylist, Erik.
They even sent me a thank you card in the mail following up on the service. Wonderful personal touch. I just wish other people were more like this and care about their customers So to the horrible experience at SA, thank you — because I was now able to find an amazing salon.

First up I want to say that the salon is very nice, everyone there is super friendly and I left with a good haircut, but the reasons for this one star review are ethical reasons. Not everyone is RICH! but everyone loves a good haircut. I do not mind paying $ 65.00 for a great haircut but if I am getting taken for my money, no sorry there is something wrong with that.
My co-​worker (male) and I have basically the same haircut, just styled differently. I was charged $ 65.00, he was charged $ 45.00 for the same time spend on cutting and styling, OH and a «special treatment» (which is a deep conditioning pack which I can buy at Sally’s for as little as $ 2.00 but here it is a $ 45.00 value — RIGHT). When I called and asked Erik the owner for the reasons of the prize difference, I was told that my hair was cut with a razor and my co-​workers hair with the scissor. Still the same amount of time spend, so why do I pay more for the hairdressers choice of tool???
Oh, but a woman’s haircut is APPROCHED differently I was told then… WHAT???
So if my co-​worker would have asked for a razor cut he would have paid $ 65.00? Or if I had a scissor cut I had paid $ 45.00? I quite don’t get that concept, then Erik ran out of words or should I say did not find anymore explanations and just blew me off by saying «well, a women’s cut is $ 65.00 and a Men’s $ 45.00» so there you have it !
I guess he can asked any amount he wants, it is his salon, but at least KNOW how to explain your reasons for your discriminating towards women. The prize should be based on the time you spend on once hair and the length of hair not if you are a WOMAN or a MAN. Man get cut and styled today the same way women do, or they go to a Barber shop.
Again, I am more than willing to pay a good prize for a good haircut, but don’t try to cheat me out of money.
I do not need a little cute bag with a fancy paper tissue for one little product I buy or a «special treatment» for $ 2.00; OH, I’M SORRY, $ 45.00 value! I would rather get a great haircut for a fair prize without paying for all the Salon’s extras THEY want to use. Needless to say I cancelled my next appointment and will go to a salon that will treat me correct and does not fish for false explanations.

I just switched to this salon, and I have loved my experiences here. I have had services performed by every staff member here, and they are ALL wonderful! Erik does stellar cuts and blow-​drys, Susan introduced me to Balayage highlights and I will never go back to foils, Lindsey does an amazing blow-​dry and her sense of style if spot-​on, and Erin gave me the absolute prettiest reverse-​french-​braid-​updo for New Year’s Eve! The salon feels high end, it’s decorated very tastefully with an avant-​garde vibe that the hairstyles live up to, and then some. Fresh flowers, sparking water with lemon, Loreal Professional hair products, the sweetest front end coordinator ever… The list goes on. Not one detail has been overlooked, and the results of their hairstyles are equally impressive.

We just got back from NYC and this salon might as well have been in manhattan. The ambiance, the staff, the service, all top notch! I haven’t had an experience like that since leaving the north. I say experience, because it’s more than just the cut (although that’s the most important part), it’s the education on your hair, how you feel and look once you are done and if you can replicate that look at home. The owner, Erik Alan, looks the part and has all the tools to make his business a huge success. From the dim lighting to the warm towel on your face, the red wine, throwback music and jaw dropping hair cut, if you are looking for the best of the best, this is your guy. Two thumbs way up!

Since moving to Broward I have been searching for a salon that is honest, professional and dedicated to the art of cutting hair. Well, look no further — the Erik Alan Davis Salon is it.
After receiving an awful cut (we have all been there) I decided to try this salon after reading a great review on Facebook. Erik happened to be at the front upon my arrival and immediately made me feel comfortable. He was polite but also honest about the current state of my hair and I needed that. He recommended Erin, who was fabulous. She is very talented and I am so happy with the results. The actual salon space is Zen as well — very understated, clean and organized.
A few days after my cut, I received a hand written thank you note in the mail. My heart melted. I really appreciate the details when it comes to a business and this salon really pays attention to the customer. Needless to say, I am going back — and this time my girlfriend is coming. When I called to schedule, Erik picked up and remembered me. How great is that?
I am so grateful that I have finally found a great salon. It’s not easy, but this salon did it. Happy hair makes for a happy girl!

This review has been long overdue! Karolin Zekhtser is absolutely amazing!!! Karolin’s work totally speaks for itself, it is remarkable and I know since I have been going to her for almost 10 years. I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair, which is why I won’t go anywhere else but to Karolin. I would highly recommend her
