Hyatt Place Fort Myers/At The Forum

I’m really disappointed about this Hyatt! Well, yes, rooms are really spacy, but that’s all!
Cleaniness is really poor (sofa in the room was really ugly!) and the staff is the worst ever: lazy, unmotivated and incompetent. Housekeeping is bad too.
Unfortunately you hear the interstate through the (closed) windows.
Well, however, I had a quite cheap stay but would not book here again. Prefer more motivated and friendly staff

Unfortunately there’s not much good to say about this property. Many hotels that are near interstates have sound proof windows so that the highway noise will not disturb the sleep of guests. This hotel does not. Consequently, your sleep will be interrupted by loud vehicles on the highway.
The highway noise is only the beginning of the issues though that will cause you to have an uncomfortable stay. The air conditioning units in the rooms are extremely noisy. Florida is typically warm, even at night, and the air conditioner will come on frequently. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner and is impossible to sleep through. To turn it off leaves the room too hot to sleep in.
Finally, the walls between rooms are very thin so that normal speaking is heard clearly. Walking and talking in the hall is also distracting.
In all, the hotel fails in providing a comfortable place to sleep. There’s no reason to ever stay here.

Very disappointed with their front desk. Tried to check in early. Told me to come back in an hour. Stood in line, they were checking in people. Got to me and they told said they had nothing and it would be another hour. So I sat in lobby by front desk. Another hour has gone by, still nothing. Perhaps they’re surprising me with rose petals, chocolates and champagne waiting for me if and when I ever get my room but I’m not holding my breath.
Hotel in middle of nowhere off I-​75. Closest restaurant is 6 miles away.

Stayed here once before and it was a great experience. Sadly this time around the experience was sub-​par. We got to the hotel and where told there was no towels and they didn’t know when they would be able to get us some. Since we are here for a wedding this became a huge issue. The women we spoke to said to us «sorry but it ain’t happening.» This was a little upsetting but we managed. Then when we got to the room it was a king room instead of two doubles. When we asked them about this at 1:00pm they said well if you want to wait till 5 maybe we can get the room we booked, but if so we were not allowed to use the room we had and had to get out of it immediately. Considering we had to get ready for a wedding this didn’t work. So we ended up having to take the room we didn’t reserve. I have to come to expect better since I always stay on Hilton place hotels and know how amazing the service usually is l.

The worst Hyatt experience I’ve ever had. Housekeeping was dub par, we used the ice bucket our 1^st night there and it still wasn’t emptied 4 days later when we left. The first day housekeeping removed the towels we used but never replaced them with fresh ones.
Also the last night i noticed that the coffee cup that i used that morning was still sitting on the nightstand with the last of my coffee in the bottom of the mug.
When we checked in we made a point of telling the fmgr. that we would be using two separate credit cards for our stay. When we went to check out they charged both cards but for the entire stay. Essentially charging us twice. Luckily my bank was understanding and fronted uss emergency funds until the hotel refund showed up in my account.
I’ve stayed at Hyatt .many times and never had any problems that come even close to the headache this Hyatt gave us!

Lovely place!!! I really enjoyed my time here. Gym, pool, laundry, free wifi, the front desk guy is hilarious. I recommend this place to anyone.

Incompetant staff. They checked me into a room on the first floor as requested with 2 double beds. Unfortunately it was not housekeeped. Had to wait in line for new room. Given room on top floor with king bed and burnt out light bulbs. I checked in after 4pm. Others had similar problems getting rooms. Long waits. They had no clue what rooms were available.
Internet sucked. Mediocre breakfast. Thin towels. Couldnt maintain a wireless connection. Unsecured internet. Refrigerator froze my drinks. No microwave or place for luggage except sofa. First and last time at this crappy hotel. WSJ and USA today was available. The only positive. Water was billable.
No restaurants nearby except subway five guys and chick fila a few miles away.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast they had. The rooms were spacious we had 4 in one room but you can fit 6 with the couch bed. We had a big living room and a flat screen TV that you can move towards the bed. I love how we had a refrigerator. The area is super nice and many stores and foods nearby. I will definitely stay here in the future when I am in town.

I spend a lot of time in hotels 1 – 5 stars. They mostly bore me. Hyatt Places are an exception. People actually use the stylish lobbies and hang out. Here, the front end staff were helpful and engaging throughout the stay. I felt connected for once. The manager Chris was very helpful correcting a scheduling error that was our mistake. Rooms are attractive and spotless.

Great place… up to date décor, CLEAN, spacious room, sofa, fridge, desk, etc. No complaints. .all good… and I am picky!

I am a big fan of Hyatt Place. Love the fridge/​kitchen area. Always great for bringing along your own snacks/​breakfast/​cocktails. And since we travel with laptops, smartphones and sometimes a game system — we love the flat screen TVs with easy to access connection ports. A great getaway for us is a mix of seeing and doing new things and chilling together on the couch. The rooms are nice with nice large sectional sofas for lounging. We also enjoy the breakfast selections. They always offer breakfast sandwiches or french toast as well as the standard continental breakfast fare. This location meet all our expectations. It’s a bit outside of downtown Ft. Myers near 1 – 75 but we found it easy to get back into town when needed.

Probably one of the better of the mid-​range biz hotels, I’ve come to like Hyatt Place for the following: free parking, the large flat screen TVs (with multi-​media hookups), separate living room with a comfy sectional sofa, a desk, fridge, nice breakfast spread with hot breakfast options all come with the room. What I like about Hyatt Place’s breakfasts is each of the choices is more tasty/​higher quality food than Courtyard mid-​range hotels.
If you want other food options there is a 24×7 restaurant food service: you can order anything from their restaurant menu. Hyatt Place is the first hotel of its kind to offer food all the time. If I want eggs and bacon, I can order that 24×7, warm cookies, 24×7, pasta, proteins, and wine all for as extra but reasonable charge. It’s a convenient service and I like it. This setup definitely beats Marriott’s Courtyard and Fairfield Inn brands but the breakfasts are not as expansive as Embassy Suites.
Note: There are no tubs in the rooms just a shower. And like Hotel Indigo, there is a door to the john but not the bathroom sink/​vanity area.
I like this formula, it works for me and I can’t really find anything wrong with Hyatt Place except for the super– firm mattress. I dont like the smell of new everything. The carpeting here is nice but that new carpet smell :(

Beautiful spacious rooms, enormous TVs, creative lobby and variety at continental breakfast. The only thing this hotel was missing was a hot tub.

It stinks when one thing mucks up a really great hotel. This hotel is quite new, very clean and comfortable. The rooms are very cozy. I am a big fan of the shower (no tub). HOWEVER, why would you ever use dish tv when you are in a state that receives rain and storms constantly??? All I wanted to do was relax with the tv, but I saw snow for hours. Also, there is no restaurant or civilization for a mile or so. But, they do have small, packaged food and coffee and beer choices at the front desk.

The hotel itself is as good as it gets in the 3-​star category. I’d rather stay here than a number of 4 star offerings. I’ve stayed here at least 10 nights the first half of this year, and everytime, the staff is prompt and friendly. After a long day of work, I enjoy ordering up the spinach and artichoke dip, heading back to this room, and plopping down on the couch with my snack… almost feels like home.
It is true that there is nothing else right next door. You’ll have to get in the car and head down the street for anything. There is one nearby shopping center with a target/​best buy & buffalo wild wings. You’ll have to go further to Gulf Coast Town Center or into Fort Myers for a restaurant.
The breakfast items they carry are done well, but would like to see them upgrade to to additional offerings like some other Hyatt Places offer. In the meantime, I add in the $ 7 omlette to round out the breakfast.

Hyatt Place is in the Courtyard/​HI Express segment. This hotel is very new, and the rooms provide well appointed accommodations for the price. Our room was quite big, with large TV, couch in sitting area, and workspace with plenty of accessible outlets. The staff is not terribly friendly, not even a hello from most. I don’t normally do the free breakfast thing, but my wife talked me into it as she has so many times before. The breakfast was an embarrassment. Do it right or don’t do it. Turns out, the breakfast is so sparse because they are trying to sell you breakfast too. Unfortunately, you don’t find that out unless you do some exploring to figure out what’s going on.
Anyway, nice hotel… go someplace else for breakfast.

If I had my way, Hyatt Place is where I’d always stay!
This one is so new, you can still smell the fresh paint! Perhaps TOO new, since its address wasn’t recognized by my TomTom GPS, but thankfully I had Google maps on the iPhone as a back-​up. It’s a little confusing to get to with all the construction going on, but there is a huge shopping plaza nearby including Target, so you can pick up anything you forgot to pack. (I ALWAYS forget something!)
The details are not as well designed as other HP’s that I’ve stayed at; ugly carpet & wall hangings. But, the suite was spacious and clean with a super comfy bed and giant 42″ flat panel HD TV that help make up for that. The complimentary breakfast was a little sparse, maybe because we were part of stragglers that like to sleep in.
They offer free Wi-​Fi but be warned if you are an Apple fan. It was kind of a hassle to get service for the iPad, but the front desk was helpful and we were eventually able to connect.

Most of our vacations are resort type places — spa, golf etc, but this time, we chose a vacation with things to do rather than a fancy hotel. Ft. Myers was my 2^nd home growing up and I wanted to share all the things I loved to do with my boyfriend so we didn’t need to stay in a resort with tons of activities.
This Hyatt Place was a perfect hotel — we only stayed for 3 nights but I would have stayed for longer if I needed to. Yes it’s in an area that is in the process of being developed and yes it is right off the highway but it was still a great little hotel. You couldn’t hear the highway, even from outside and there wasn’t construction dust everywhere so it was fine. Didn’t mind that it was away from the main area of Ft. Myers — easy drive, no matter what time of day. Took less than a half hour to get to Naples and Estero being right off of 75.
First of all, we got there before noon and they were more than happy to check us in that early. Being a «business» hotel they quite large rooms with couch seating and a desk area. The place was very clean and the bed was pretty comfy. Decent little gym too to work out in and the pool area was nice. The continental breakfast was much better than I expected too with some good variety but not a fan of the coffee — it was either really bold or decaf, not a fan of either.
I was surprised to see they had a full «kitchen» — we didn’t make use of it but the menu looked good.
I had one free night out of the three nights from a rewards coupon and the billing on that was seamless — I always worry places are going to screw it up but it went just fine.
Would definitely stay here again!

If you’re staying in Fort Myers on business, Hyatt Place is a fine hotel to stay at. The interior is new, clean and they’ve got a good complimentary breakfast, plenty of parking. Rooms are LARGE with nice flat-​panels, sitting area, coffee maker and fridge. The bathroom was ok (shower only) and had a nice assortment of toiletries and soap. And the price is cheap, I paid under $ 100/​night in the middle of high-​high season (early March). So why only three stars?
Well the one challenge they’ve got is location. While it’s conveniently located off of Route 75, there’s construction in the area and it’s in the middle of nowhere. While it’s a quick 10 minute trip to downtown Fort Myers, you gotta drive. And the neighborhood it’s in is sort of industrial and run-​down. So it would be great for a long-​term business stay but no so much for leisure. Four star accommodations in a two-​star location, what can you do?
