Jay does excellent work, we are very happy we found him. We were looking for someone who could help with installation of blinds that we already had. Jay got the job done efficiently with no problems. This would have taken us hours and lots of cuss words but Jay saved the day! He is highly skilled and did a great job at a more than fair price. We will be calling him again when we need any help with blinds, curtains or other window coverings.

Jay is a great professional who is both knowledgeable on various window shade products and patient with me by teaching me how to fix things. I had an issue with my Hunter Douglass blind and he came over within an hour after I called. He showed me how to take things apart and put back in after fixing. I was really appreciative of his help and will definitely reach out to him again when future needs arise.

In design, Jay spent good time to explain me all the options, and patiently went through my preferences. He even left his catalogs over weekend as I am slow in making decision. His price is reasonable and overall installation is a good job. Exception happens but he’s willing to come back and help me out.

I had searched the internet, Unilocal and talked to contractors about who to use for our solar blind search and lucky for me found Jay. I Could not be happier with the quality of our blinds and Jay’s work~
As a busy hair salon time is precious and valuable. Jay understood our needs, and traveled from Foster City to Santana Row. He saw how much sun was coming in and blinding our guests and front desk, made a few recommendations and within a few weeks our solar blinds were up and installed for a very fair price.

I did a great deal of research and talked to many window treatment companies before selecting Install Solutions. I am so glad I took the time to compare products and service alternatives. Jay did a fabulous job of helping me select shutters and cellular shades and installing them. I chose Comfortex Honeycomb Shades for the family room and Norman Woodlore Shutters for the rest of the house. I am very happy with the products, quality installation, and overall service experience.
I looked at Hunter Douglass and Norman shutters side-​by-​side. It was an easy decision. The Norman shutters are a far superior product and they were much less expensive. Once I decided on Norman, I spoke to several companies who offered this product. Install Solutions offered the best price. Also, most of the other companies sent out someone to discuss the products and measure who never installed a shutter. I didn’t feel comfortable that they were providing the correct advice. Whereas, Jay has tons of experience installing shutters and explained the options in detail with expert recommendations for the best approach. Jay did the install himself and it was perfect.
Because the window treatment was for a rental, I looked at wooden blinds as well. I was surprised at how little price difference there was between wooden blinds and shutters – a far superior product. I am so glad I chose shutters.
I would give Jay six stars if could. He really knows the window treatment business and provides outstanding service at a better price than competitors.

We are really, really happy with our blinds that Jay installed. Jay stood out from the very beginning because he was able to offer advice when we asked. Other vendors kept telling us «it’s your decision, it’s up to you,» even when we really asked for their opinions. Jay gave us complete freedom but when we wanted his thoughts or recommendations, he offered them — which was great, because he has lots of experience doing this, not us! We really had no idea what we wanted at the beginning, and he took us through the process step-​by-​step. He was also very respectful of our own ideas and opinions and did a great job with one non-​standard blind that we wanted.
Jay was also patient with us as we decided what we wanted and shopped around, which I appreciated. The installation was really quick. The day after the blinds were installed, I had a tiny issue with one of them, and he came over immediately to check it out, which was great.
The ONLY minor issue we had was that sometimes there were delays in response time. Often Jay replied to our emails within an hour, but sometimes it would be a few days without hearing from him and we had to email again to check in. But everything ended up working out great.
We love our new blinds! I’m really glad we went with Jay, and our blinds ended up being much more affordable than other options we looked into. I would definitely recommend him for anyone shopping for blinds.

I tried to contact Install solutions for a quote which did not even involve coming on site. With the right measurements, I asked for a quote to instal shades on my windows. He replied to me initially in a couple of hours saying that he will get back to me by the end of the day.
However, he never got back to me for the next 2 weeks although I did send him a couple of more emails to ask him about the status of my quote. The behavior shows nothing but unprofessionalism and I would never have services from such places!
Sorry but I was utterly disappointed with the lack of service.

Unfortunately I did not have a positive experience with Jay. It started off fine but then he completely disappeared on me. He never completed a job and still owes me a refund. I have given him plenty of chances to make good and he has not come through.
Beware consumers… you may be one of the lucky ones… or… you may end up like me… no product and no refund!

Like all the other reviewers, my experience dealing with Jay has been great.
Will continue to use his service going forward.

Jay has done a fantastic job starting from recommending different type of shades to final installation. I have compared three different vendors to do the job (most of them are dealer for hunter douglas)
Jay detailed the pros and cons about Hunter Douglas and other brands. I trust his recommendation and the final job looks great. Also, Jay is very clear about the delivery date and his estimation is right on time.
Jay even help me to fix small cracks on my trims so the shades will looks fabulous! I gave him 2 thumbs up!

My review is consistent with all the other 5 star reviews. Jay is knowledgeable, prompt (showed up EXACTLY at the time promised), efficient, careful and does a great job. He installed draperies at our new home which has an unusual (for these days) hand done traditional plaster over lath interior. The work was done in less time than estimated and was absolutely professional in every way — aesthetics, workmanship, cleanliness and finish. And his fees are simply terrific. We could not have been more pleased. I don’t write a lot of reviews but his professionalism really stands out.

Jay is the best, he only asks what you want or are looking for prior to starting the job. During the course of work he will offer different solutions or clarify what he is doing to get you the most economical and highest quality available. In my case he had some large very high end solar shades that were not used in a previous job. He cut them to my windows and installed them saving me thousands.
You may not be as lucky in him having exactly what is needed, but he will figure out how to do the job according to one’s budget and need for quality in a very professional and creative way.
I have since used him other jobs that came out just as great. I like the fact that he his a craftsman and does all the work keeping cost optimized.

Jay is very quick and professional. I had to get curtains installed in my house (for 8 windows) and he did a terrific job in less than 2 hours. He has excellent speed and makes no mess. He’s very polite and courteous. His estimate was spot on and he is very punctual and responsive! I would definitely use him again and would recommend him to my family and friends.

Couldn’t be more pleased with Jay’s work! He is knowledgeable and has a great selection of shades including Comfortex silhouette-​style shades which not many vendors carry (same style and quality but not as pricey as the Hunter-​Douglas). He installed 3 different style of shades in our house for far less than I had been quoted by 4 – 5 other vendors. The order arrived within a few weeks and he easily installed everything himself.
About a month later, I mistakenly jammed one of the shades (long story, my fault) and without a fuss he cheerfully came by in person to fix it. I had really jammed it so it actually wasn’t an easy fix but he got the job done without a single complaint, and he also refused to accept a dime for his time.
I had spent quite some time looking into various shade vendors and couldn’t be happier that we decided to go with Install Solutions — affordable, efficient, and extremely professional from beginning to end! Thanks Jay!

We bought a newly renovated home in San Francisco and needed every window treatment installed. We called Jay at Install Solutions and were very impressed! He was a true pro, knew exactly how to install the treatments and was easy and flexible to work with. Also very punctual and responsive. If you need someone you can count on and trust, call Jay. Jay did a terrific job installing drapery tracks and curtains in my new condo. He was a pleasure to deal with, always accessible via email or phone, and was very accomodating with my hectic schedule. He installed drapes on all 4 oversized windows that I have in my unit. During installation, he was very careful to protect the new floors and furnishings in my unit. Jay earns the highest rating based on his level of care, professionalism and most of all, quality of his work. Will definitely use him again.

I was very impresssed by the service I received in having my curtains professionally installed by this company. My loft unit has oversized windows and Jay installed tracks that were very discreet and aesthetically pleasing. However I didn’t have my curtains ready at that time. Jay was very patient and flexible and came back on a Sunday morning to install the curtains so that my guests could have their privacy from the overlooking college building next door to us, when they arrived the next day.
