We specialize in tune ups, brakes, auto repair, oil changes, motor rebuilds, and troubleshooting mechanical issues with all makes of vehicles. We use quality parts; many times OE or OEM when replacing worn or defective parts.

We also offer installation/​selling of automotive radios, speakers, amplifiers, dvd, navigation, satellite radio, sound deadening, custom subwoofer boxes, and custom sound systems.

We can also trouble-​shoot electrical issues and battery drains

Oil changes and motor rebuilds.

History

Established in 2012.

We owned and operated a shop previously known as C & H Sounds in Oakland, Ca for over 20 years. We closed down that business and now have established our new roots right across the street from Fry’s Electronics in Fremont, CA. We have automotive lifts and now offer auto mechanic services. With this new location and new start we are using this opportunity to offer our outstanding quality and services. We are located on the back half of the Bay City Windows building. Come check us out and support local business.

With my father Joo Choe (Bobby) leading the way I am doing everything I can to help support him. I have been doing car audio for ten years myself and am always interested in learning about new products and improving my skills and techniques. With our new operation I will eventually be my own boss when the time comes for my father to pass the business on. I am excited and working vigorously to build this business into an empire with service and products above the competition.

The percentage tinting options they have here were very limited. They did not have any legal tinting percentage options for front windows. 70% is the minimum front window tint allowed in CA and they do not have anything 70% or higher. When I asked about this, the guy in the shop here told me that it is okay to 50% tint in the tint as it would still be visible from outside.
I made an appointment well in advance at this place and they did not keep up their appointment. Couple of hours after I left my car in this place at my scheduled time, when I returned, they told me that their technician didn’t show up and so they couldn’t do the job. They coolly added that this is pretty common over there.
Overall, I received a very unprofessional behavior and a poor experience from this shop. Never go to this place as their they dont have the basic professionalism needed for any business and you may even end up losing a lot more money later to pay for tickets.

I’ll give credit where credit is due and Tony is definitely on of the more knowledgable people in this part of the bay. I’ve been looking for a shop to install my BSW subwoofer for my e46 330ci and most of the shops turned the other cheek and quoted me ridiculous amounts, everything from 400 – 800 dollars for a simple install. When I called Tony he gave me a very reasonable price for installing it and did a pretty good job. The only problem I saw was that he wasn’t as detail oriented as I would have liked, the wiring wasn’t nicely zip tied and just stuffed in the back where no one could see but that’s just me nit-​picking because I don’t trust any body with my car all the time. If you’re looking for a solid installer for stereo equipment at a good price I would recommend Tony any time of day!

Went to get an oil change for my girlfriends 2010 Santa Fe from Bobby. He was very polite, helpful and prompt. I was at the sop perhaps 25 minutes total. He did the oil change in about 20 minutes and I was out the door and on my way really quickly.
I can’t recommend him highly enough. Straight forward, no fuss, no muss.

I should stop doing oil changes last minute because I find myself struggling to find a place that would take me in without an appointment): But luckily, the owner of this place (didn’t get his name): next time!) took me in 2 hours before they closed! It’s a small shop with only 2 – 3 people working but they were fast and efficient. The owner was super nice! He gave me an oil change, tire rotation, and air filter change for $ 70 dollars and all done in less than an hour! He was very friendly and honest which I really appreciated. So from now on, I’m coming here for my oil changes.

I haven’t written a review in 2 years but the service and care I received as well as the very reasonable price is making me want to write this review. I was at Walmart and almost out of convenience, wanted to just take my car for an oil change there. Due to the awesome Unilocal reviews, I gave this place a chance. I showed up and was helped immediately (granted it was Friday at 9am and not a super busy time) and he started getting right to work. They even filled the air on my tires without asking, checked the tires for any holes or thinning, and showed me how filthy my air filter was which he changed. He let me know that one of my tires was wearing a bit thin and I asked him if he thought it was safe to drive to Tahoe soon. He gave me great advice and even did a couple more checks under the hood for me just in case.
Unilocalers feel free to stop looking at other places — just go here, you will be taken care of and won’t walk out with an empty wallet.

First took my car here for an alarm installation and was given several options. Service was fast and price was wayy cheaper than other alarm system places I had gotten quotes from.
Alarm didn’t work right after a month and they installed a new one for free! Owner and his son are genuine people so I took my car in to diagnose after hearing a funny noise and having idle problems. Got an tune-​up and car feels a lot smoother. Still having minor issues with the idle but I’d still recommend this place and have already!

A failed window tinting service. If your car is popular or big size, you may get a good service. For my case, a civic size new car, the whole experience is terrible. I will not get back even there is so-​called life time warranty
Good: The price is low on the market. Bobby (the owner) is friendly and behind his words.
Bad: There is no instore technician for tinting. You may have to try your luck because he may not show up on the scheduled day. Bobby can do simple work, but not too complicated. The overall waiting time is always longer than what you are told at the beginning.
Ugly: My car window and body were cut and have clear scratches by careless operations.
Here is my story.
(1) On my 1st visit, Bobby had to drive my car out in the middle to look for his friend’s help to finish job because he has no sufficient equipment in store. That made me very nervous because my car is new. I would NEVER hand my car to him if knew this problem at the beginning.
(2) There were quite a lot of bubbles after 5 days, so I got back to ask for improving. On the scheduled date, the technician did not show up, so I had to back on another day.
(3) Technician was still there on my 3rd time visit. Bobby said he can do it. Unfortunately, I made the worst decision to continue the tinting service at this store. In the end, both my car window and body were cut by careless operations and have clear scratches. That made me over sad for such a new car and there are still some bubbles on the new tinting window.
Conclusion: I will not back for tinting service any more. Bobby may be good at other stuff, but absolutely is not an expert on this field.

I got my wife’s 1994 Honda Accord original window tint removed and had installed new tint on the back and side windows. Tony gave me a good price. I knew this was going to be a tough job to remove the old tint. He said no problem and he got it done in no time. The tint looks great and the wife is happy :) Thanks Tony! You’re the Man.

I was in desperate need of an oil change so I gave this place a call to see if they could fit me in at 5pm. I was given the ok but when I arrived they seemed confused and said it was too late but took me anyways!
Bobby took care of the oil change for my Honda Accord and he was super nice. He let me know that my air filter needed to be changed and that I should be careful with my tires in the winter time yet he didn’t pressure me to get everything done right then and there like most people do. They also filled up my tires while they were changing the oil and checked my battery. Bobby showed me that my battery was really weak and kept reminding me not to drive around by myself late at night in case my battery suddenly died — it seemed like he genuinely cared for my well being which was really sweet.
My total came out to be $ 30 which was more than they had quoted over the phone but I don’t really mind because the service was great. My dad freaked a little when I told him the price ’cause he usually gets an oil change and car wash at Honda for $ 19.99. But I recommend this place anyways because I had a HORRIBLE experience at an official Honda dealership before!

Decided to give auto sound and care a try based in the Unilocal reviews. My electric locks, inside lights weren’t working ever since a previous ecu change (rav4 common issue)
Tony troubleshooted the problems quickly, end up being a bad fuse and alarm. I was really impressed with quick and the no frills service, i also decided to upgrade my stereo,
Tony really knew his stuff, I would definitely recommend to anyone, I know I will be coming back.

Brought my 2013 Altima in for the windows to be tinted and got a really reasonable price. It took a little longer because the back window is so far back and a little hard to reach but it came out great and they actually called me when it was almost done so I could get a ride down there! If you have ever taken your car somewhere, you already know that they NEVER call when they say they will or when it’s ready. You usually have to call and ask if your car is done yet.
Great customer service, will be back again when I’m ready to throw some more money down on my new toy!

I found this place on Unilocal and thought I’d give it a try. I always go to shops that have good Unilocal reputations because I’m clueless when it comes to cars.
This shop lived up to it’s great reviews.
I had an oil change, new tires, and a brake fluid change. All were done in a timely manner. By the time I was done window shopping at Fry’s nearby, my car was ready for me.
Tony was friendly, knowledgeable, and up-​front with all the costs. I might come back if I decide to get a new stereo system.

Brought both of my cars here for an oil change. Awesome service and great prices.
They also went above and beyond by replacing my fog light bulb for free. I offered to pay for labor costs as it took about 20 mins and they had to mount my car but they refused.
Try getting that sort of service from a Midas or Firestone type of store. I’ll be back for sure.

I’ve come to Auto Sound & Auto Care to install my alarm when I first got my car and was extremely satisfied with the service. Quick and to the point. Tony is an extremely friendly guy and will be able to take care of your audio, tinting, alarm, and auto needs. Great location which is directly across the street from Fry’s Electronics. Huge working area with a small and energetic surprise waiting to greet you. The shop dog, Kia!
Definitely will come back in the future, and recommended to anyone who wants top quality work with honest prices.

I generally take my car into Toyota dealerships to get serviced, and they charge me an arm and a leg. I was referred here by a friend, and was definitely satisfied with the service and pricing. Quick, friendly and honest; I never felt like I was being told something to get me to spend more (which I feel is the case at most auto shops around. They prey on the fact that I know little about my automobile). In an age where prices for everything from maintenance to gas are shooting up, its nice to drop by here where I wasn’t nickle and dimed.
Also, they make key copies, which is awesome. I needed a spare auto and house key, which was a service I was surprised to find at their shop.
Definitely coming back.
