Delicious food excellent service. Love this place. It is kosher which is great and the food is fresh. They really know what they r doing with their fresh salads and the fish always tastes dwlicious. Desserts are scrumptious as well. Only con is that it’s pricey but guess that’s the price u pay for great and healthy food

As the restaurant’s name suggests, Turquoise specializes in fish that is kosher. The ambiance is modern and upscale. The food is simple yet well executed. During lunch hours, you’ll find business professionals and likeminded individuals having meetings. Another point to take note of is the lunch price fix menu which includes a salad, an entrée, and a dessert for $ 21.
I started with the Israeli salad. The tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions were chopped finely giving each bite a medley of tastes. I also liked the blend of oil, vinegar, and lemon used for the dressing. The salad was quite refreshing. I also liked the garlic and parsley butter which was served with the complimentary bread.
For my main course, I opted for the St. Peter’s Tilapia with rice and steamed vegetables. The fish was broiled, and it came out very moist and juicy. I have never characterized fish like that before. The breading was light yet flavorful.
I finished my meal with a homemade biscuit cake which I would classify in a similar family to a napoleon or tiramisu cake in that elements of thinly baked dough were layered with mousse.
The service was quick and promptly accommodated any requests. There was no hostess, yet I was seated fairly quickly. Lastly, I’d like to reiterate that the lunch deal is quite good!

What a charming and beautiful spot, loved the décor. Was here for double date night this past Sunday night. Place was ridiculously packed. Luckily, seated right away and waitress came to take our order. I liked how they gave us complimentary side dishes to try. Bread, butter, sauces and marinaded veggies. We order the tuna tarter appitezier, sushi rolls. Our friends got flounder and tempera roll. Food was all very good, no complaints. Sushi was fresh, and flavorful. Service was on point until towards the end. The place was just packed. I am not gonna hold it against our waitress, because she tried to be accomendating as possible. They were just swamped, we had to cancel part of our order because we couldn’t wait any longer. Really should hire more staff on a crazy night like that. Still, won’t let that spoil the experience. I would still come back to try the fish next time.

Was there on Sunday evening. The place was packed, the ambiance is welcoming, the food that I managed to eat was not bad, the service was super slow. Not sure whether it was because of the fact that only 2 wait staff was working during busy time when about 100 people were there or because there should have been more wait staff during such busy time. It’s not the fault of the waitresses that were running around overwhelmed, but of the owner. As such, I had to cancel the last of my order because it was getting late and we had enough of waiting.
Maybe, big maybe, I will go again
Recommendation: don’t go off its busy.

Really delicious food. Great service. Everything tastes fresh and leaves you wanting to come back again. Came with a party of 9 for a family get-​together and everyone (even some family members who don’t usually eat fish) was pleased. Appetizers were also terrific — roasted eggplant, etc. Fish portions were very solid as well.

We actually went to their first restaurant that was in Manhattan about eight years ago it was very nice and served meat as well. This restaurant is quite different although still very nice. They are known primarily for their fish dishes. I ordered the Seabass and my wife ordered a couple rolls of sushi both meals were prepared very nicely and the food was exceptionally tasty. The only complaint I have is that the service is a tad slow and the prices although reasonably high for Manhattan are quite high for a residential neighborhood in Queens overall the food was excellent the service was good prices slightly on the high side I would recommend it.

Great ambiance for a kosher restaurant (some get to be very schlock) and a nice, casual setting. The food was excellent — my wife and I decided to get the Turquoise Tuna Tartare (listed as a appetizer), Combination Fillet Platter, and a penne pasta dish with broccoli and cream sauce.
The tuna tartare was excellent but awfully small — for the price this is not a good appetizer for two people. The combination platter had three smaller size fillets of fish — we ordered Chilean sea bass, salmon, and flounder. All of the cooked fish was well prepared (the flounder was buttery smooth and was my favorite — where do they get it this far out of season?) and tasted fresh, but again with the smaller portions, including the small scoop of rice and steamed vegetables. The pasta was the only decent size portion — to be expected, considering pasta is relatively inexpensive — but was cooked perfectly al dente.
We did not have any liquor but the list appeared appropriately priced (read: enjoy a drink when you get home later). The bread served with dinner tasted to be fresh baked in the restaurant, with great garlic butter and a small dish of tahini which was excellent, tasting of lemon and decently thick. The sushi menu seemed appropriately priced as well, and I would expect the fish is as fresh as the cooked options (however we did not have sushi).
This place is not cheap…$ 80 – 100 for two people looks to be average. Our bill was less since we did not have dessert or drinks. There are far better values for kosher dining, and this place is not for couples/​families on a budget. That said, I would recommend this place as a mainly-​fish option that is convenient from Nassau and Queens.

Been coming here for about a year now. Great spot for family gatherings! Went in today and was compelled to write this review, it’s a shame that other people write bad things, honestly some of the best fish and service I have ever encountered, the young man that was our waiter came to our table like 10 times to make sure everything was on point! I loved that!
We usually get ronni who is a real class act! He knows how to treat people and they honestly deserve every star!

Good kosher fish restaurant. I highly recommend getting the whole fish dishes. The salads are good as well. The filet fish dishes are a bit small in portion size. The service is average with waiters that know the menu well. My only warning is that this restaurant is very much on the expensive side. Be prepared to spend as much as you would in a fine kosher stake restaurant ($ 130 — $ 150 for two people with desert).

Being a frequent customer of the original Turquoise in Great Neck, I was very excited when it reopened closer to my neighborhood, albeit in the form of a fish only rstaurant. While the fish was equally delicious, the restaurant lacked the warmth and excitement if its predecessor. At first I wrote it off to different personalities of the management but, more and more, it became apparent that it is because of a truly apathetic attitude towards its clientele.
On our last, if not final visit, in a restaurant which was perhaps filled to 10% of capacity, it took many attempts to have the server come to our table. We had to wait over 40 minutes to get our entrees and almost equally as long to get the check. During all this, the owner, who in the beginning used to stop by each table to personally greet the diners, was sitting at a table deeply immersed in his cell phone despite all the head swiveling going on around him.
It would be a shame to lose this restaurant from the neighborhood. I hope they start paying more attention to their customers before it’s too late.

It was very open, bright and not noisy which was nice. I ordered the sushi sandwich which was spot on, the best I’ve had. I also ordered the St. Peters whole fish which was cooked to perfection and lots of flavor. The only thing that killed the entire night was the service. I had asked for more water which our waitress forgot. I waited 20 minutes for a refill of water to the point where I walked up to ask for a pitcher of water. One of my friends ordered 2 rolls of sushi which he waited 20 minutes while everyone at the table received their meals. He had to cancel his. And every time I looked over our waitress was on her cellphone the whole time. Would I recommend this place to a friend… if they want kosher fish, sure. Would I go back again probably not.

I recently went to this location, and I was pretty impressed. The setting is very intimate, it is a great place to bring a date. I ordered the broiled salmon with potatoes and vegetables and I also had their eggplant salad which was amazing. The staff was very friendly and service was fine as well. All in all I give it an 8 out of 10.

This place has a great ambiance and service. Their food is delicious. I loved the Sea Bass (my order) and the Talipa (my wife’s order). We actually both tried both. My only issue was that her portion was about ¹⁄₃ larger (4 – 5 pieces) than my own (one medium sized piece) and my price was slightly higher. I can chalk that up to the price of the fish though. The Sea Bass was so buttery, soft and was cooked very well.
Sides: They unfortunately ran out of the Rosemary Potatoes, but did substitute french fries (they were quite good and did help the ‘fish and chips’ i wanted.) We also tried the asparagus as a starter. It was pretty good.
Our waitress was polite, patient and quick, and I saw her do the same at other tables. She even made sure to put in our appetizer order while we were contemplating what to order for our main. The timing was great.
Dessert: Three words: Whisky Chocolate Cake. The slice was so yummy and thick, we finished it off.
This place…4/5 stars/​We actually had NO leftovers.
p. s. There were a few birthday tables around us, they had music played and when they brought the cake with a candle to each table, the server carefully held a glass upside down with the lit candle until it was down (presumably so it would not go out/​burn someone.)

My three dining companions enjoyed their meals very much, but I was less than satisfied. Thus 3 stars where I would have given only 2. I orders the salmon roll as a starter; fish was fresh but not cold enough against the rice. My main was the sesame-​crusted seared tuna, ordered rare. It did come rare, but it had no flavor at all and was somewhat watery. That says «recently thawed» to me. Disappointing.
Service was pleasant and fine, but they should think about adding at least one more server.
I’ll give it another try and choose other dishes, hoping for a better experience.

My family and I came here to celebrate a birthday. The food wasn’t bad, although they didn’t actually sear the tuna two people in our party ordered. When they commented to the waitress, she claimed that’s how it was done at this restaurant. They weren’t complaining about the taste, just that it wasn’t what they had ordered.
I took off two stars due to their service. There were only two waitresses in the entire restaurant, and just about every table was full. Our waitress did the best job that she could given the circumstances, but it took forever to get her attention and service. I felt bad for her because the delays weren’t her fault. The restaurant needs to hire at least one more server, ideally two, to handle such a large Saturday night crowd.

Came here for an early dinner and were very pleasantly surprised. We had several fish and pasta dishes. The fish dishes were very creative and delicious. Desserts were super. I had the seared tuna and it was perfectly done.
Service was great — the waiter was very patient and helpful. This place is a very high-​quality, reasonably priced Queens restaurant. The manager was very accommodating when we placed our reservations and made us feel welcome when we arrived. We will definitely go back to this place. A very pleasant experience.

Excellent Restaurant, but you must love fish. Only two pasta dishes on the menu. Appetizer and salad portions are nice, main course portions are a little smaller than expected, except for whole grilled fishes, which are large. Beautiful Restaurant with very, very good food, service and ambience.
