Gallery Pizzeria & Restaurant

First of all the owner of this restaurant was rude to me right off the bat. They overcharged me for old tasteless pizza.
Then as I was trying to eat in their sparsely air conditioned space, the owner and an employee began yelling at each other incessantly. It was unprofessional and the vibe was simply terrible.
Will not be coming back.

Gallery is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is great. Some of my favorites are the angel hair pasta with meat sauce, chicken parm and eggplant parm. They have the best minestrone soup! I frequent the restaurant and have also used them numerous times for catering. Outstanding!

This is going to be a long review because in all honestly, it was probably the worst restaurant experience I ever had in my life.
After visiting family in the area, right after Thanksgiving holiday, they decided to take us there for dinner instead of eating Thanksgiving leftovers at home.
I never ate here before but the family frequents this restaurant in the past and had great things to say about it.
With that said, we had a nightmare experience that night. So bad that I even wondered if we were part of a big prank or being featured on an episode of Chef Ramsey’s «Kitchen Nightmares».
The place was moderately busy.
We were seated fairly quickly and given menus but it took a long time for staff to approach us for drinks or take our order.
They brought out salads before we even ordered drinks and still reading the menu (what da?). We told the waiter they weren’t ours… he paused and said «yeah it’s for you guys, they are free». Lol! Who says that?
Drinks came, they served soda with no ice… lol whaaat?
We waited for food… waited…and waited…
Normally I would of walked out by now but again I was with family, it was getting late and at that point we all felt committed to stay.
Waited some more, family started to get anxious, commenting about how long it’s taking followed by awkward silence, people around us seemed to be having similar experiences, I personally observed a couple who looked miserable and witnessed rejecting food because it was too cold.
We waited some more, nobody came to our table to apologize for delay or give us an update… Waited some more, family members patience ran out, got up to go talk to waiter…
Other people around us also made comments to us about their frustration, they were regulars as well and said the restaurant is usually great but couldn’t believe what was going on.
I ordered rigatoni chicken alfredo but when the food finally came out, I got a tomato sauce instead of alfredo!
Before the waiter even put my plate down I immediately noticed the sauce discrepancy and asked «That’s Alfredo sauce?» and waiter simple said «yup»… It was clearly not Alfredo sauce… I decided not to make an awkward family dinner worse by making a big stink about my sauce and just accepted it, and quite frankly, I was embarrassed for the staff too.
But wait, it got worse… most of my chicken was undercooked and the tomato sauce tasted like Tostitos Salsa that was poured over which I’m sure that’s exactly what they did.
I took a couple of bites and just called it quits.
Rest of family was luckier than me and didn’t have too many complaints but definitely weren’t impressed. Food was just barely edible at best.
We skipped dessert and just asked for check (couldn’t wait to get the Ffff out of there), while we were waiting for the check another waiter tried to give us more food that we didn’t order and had another awkward interaction.
It took a long time to ring us up, family member again had to get up and finish the transaction.
No discounts, no apology, not even a complimentary drink on the house to put a dent on their failures.
I’m sure this restaurant is good or seen better days, however it’s clearly obvious something went terribly wrong behind the scene that night at Gallery.
Staff that night was amateur and cold, crowd seemed miserable and upset, awkwardness, food was bad, we even witnessed the cook have a heated argument outside that one point looked like he was going to walk out.
All in all, a complete disaster and a laughable experience that will be talked about within the family for years!
I hope Gallery fixes whatever internal issues and drama they had and hope nobody gets to experience what we went through that night. It was quite embarrassing to say the least!
Curious to read future reviews to see if any improvements were made.

Pretty good cheese pizza!!!
They carry Gino’s ice — get the lemon to be safe, not the crazy rainbow flavour.

Took my family here tonight. We ordered the hot antipasto for 2 which was a large tray of Calamari, Clams Oreganato, fried Zuchini, Eggplant rolatini and stuffed mushrooms. The order was large enough for 3 or 4 actually.
On Tuesday they have pasta night for 10.95 6 or 7 different choices. I had the spaghetti bolognese my daughter penne with garlic and broccoli and my wife lasagna all were terrific.
It included a house salad as well. All in all a very good meal. Located just across from Garden City pub.

Pizza, salad, & chicken parm is as far as you should go. Staff/​owners are cold and unfriendly.

The food and service is ok at best. Don’t bother ordering their regular pie, it is always mushy. I have tried a few times to give them a chance since they are close to work but they always seem to mess up my order. My take out orders were always wrong. They either forgot to add something to the order or are very stringy with the portions.
You can find a much better italian place in this area!

Popped in here to get some pizza after a doctors appointment next door. It’s a little old on the inside but still homey. I had a grandma and Sicilian slice. It was average. I would stop by for convenience but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

The food is always excellent. The service can be spotty, depending on how much help they have in the dining room on any given visit. However the food is so good that it’s worth putting up with any service delays. They could definitely use more experienced help to earn an additional star.

Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, and overall great experience

Creative pizza like buffalo chicken pizza (the chicken is first fried and then coated with buffalo sauce), ceasar salad pizza, and one with pasta on top. They don’t scrimp on their toppings either… they’re all loaded to the hilt.
The sell pizza by the slice which is great when you need a quick bite for lunch.

The food you will get at Gallery is excellent! Really, really good. And the prices are great, too! They have 2 areas — the pizzeria and a dining room. Great food, great prices and great service! What more could you ask for!

Shrimp marinara over linguine is definitely a great pick if your hungry.

Went to this restaurant on Mother’s Day after many other restaurant choices were sold out. We called to see if we could get a table and they said no problem… come on over… and this was for a table of 8. That should have been our first clue that something was wrong… since they did have available tables on Mother’s Day… but we were all hungry and also had kids with us so we went to the restaurant. When we arrived there was no one in the place… should have been the second clue… and this was 2:00 o’clock on Mother’s Day. The waitress took our drink orders which included soda’s and red wines (which they told us were free today) for the Mother’s Day, We ordered 3 red wines… however what happened next was not to be believed… the waitress put the sodas down and then dropped the 3 glasses of red wine on my niece, my Mom and my sister… my niece’s clothes completely ruined… including her expensive pocketbook… the waitress seemed stunned not knowing what to do, I spoke with the manager to discuss compensation and he too seemed at a loss for what to do… we promptly left this
we sat in our car we noticed that no other patrons came to enter the restaurant… bear in mind this is Mother’s Day… which is suppose to be one of the busiest days for a restaurant… but apparently not for this restaurant.

Love love love this place. Great staff, amazing pizza, and just blocks away from our home. What can get better than that?
