I absolutely love this place. I got my nose pierced here and my sister got her belly button and both experiences were wonderful! The environment is teen friendly and very welcoming. I’m not sure who pierced me the first time but the piercer for my sister was Chef, who made the entire experience as easy going and enjoyable as possible. Would come here for future piercings!

Chef’s awesome! Had my belly pierced when I was a youngin’ and it didn’t turn out right so I came here to get mine re-​pierced. Chef did great. Would definitely come back for more piercings :)

Another spontaneous piercing night with my cousin. I’ve been wanting an industrial piercing for the longest time and so, she dragged me to finally get one.
We were greeted by Chef/​Adam who pierced our ears. I got an industrial and my cousin got her tragus pierced. He went over the procedure very clearly and told us what we needed to do in order to take care of our piercings and how to clean them after. What I liked about Chef a lot was that he was VERY reassuring and he’s one of the few piercers I know who cares deeply about his clients after he performs piercings/​tattoos on them. He gave us his card with his number and told us to keep in contact with him if anything happens. I really liked that he cares a lot!
My industrial piercing with jewelry was $ 35. It was such a steel price because of the sale/​deal that is going on. (Call and check if it’s still going on before you go in!)
Overall, it went by very fast and careful. I enjoyed Chef as my piercer! Love this place, thank you for being gentle and caring!

This was my first time getting a tattoo, and Johnny was excellent! I messaged the Facebook page about a month ago and he got back to me quickly; when I came for the appointment he was helpful with figuring out placement and sizing.
Overall great experience, clean and relaxed establishment.

I was getting a rook done and I was a bit scared since it was my first ear piercing (besides standard lobes) but Chef and the people there gave off a really chill vibe that I was pretty calm and I loved my experience here, and the prices were pretty decent too.

Dropped by today with an emergency to change out my studs that I am hypersensitive to. Johnny was very courteous and gave me all information I needed in caring for piercing aftercare and so forth. Greatly appreciated his patience/​time. Hands down I will definitely be coming back soon.

I came here a little over a month ago to get work done because my friend Daniel recommended their piercer, Chef. I called the shop while I was still in class and asked if Chef was working that night, how long he would be there for, and if I could book an appointment within the next hour. As soon as class ended, I hopped in my car, drove to Gold State Tattoo by myself, got two body piercings done, and regret nothing.
Chef was really friendly and extremely patient. He answered all of my questions, even the (questionably) stupid ones. He made me feel secure about how impulsive my decision was since I went by myself and all. I was actually planning to get five piercings total that evening, but decided to wait on getting the other three. The price was reasonable and the service was amazing. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, so I was indifferent to the the piercing procedure itself. It’s weird because I read on the internet and heard from friends that this/​these piercings in particular are the most painful ones you could ever get, yet I had the courage to visit a random tattoo and piercing parlor on my own. I was just scared because I didn’t if I would like how they would look on me, but they turned out pretty stellar. I’d totally post a picture of them, but they’re NSFW and I’d rather not have Unilocal shut my account down, so. LOL. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend. :-)

Just walked in and as soon as I did I was greeted by Devin, asked him about a tattoo and the pricing and made an appointment right away, he had me convinced he was so polite, simple and easy process like it should be, can’t wait to come in for my tat will further review afterwards :)

Got my first tattoo here by Devin. He was super comforting and amazing and I didn’t feel any pressure whatsoever. The shop was clean and inviting, and I’m glad that I chose this shop. I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else. Btw… I had been visiting several tattoo shops for months and within the first 5 minutes of being in this shop and talking to Devin, I knew I was going to have him do it!

Went in to get my first tattoo back in November and I was obviously scared but the people who work there are so welcoming. Then I almost passed out haha and they accommodated me and put me on the couch. I will definitely be returning whenever I get another tattoo. I look at my tattoo everyday and love it even more!

Dropped by today with a friend to get some piercings done and I have to give Chef an A++++ for taking care of us so well. We were both a little nervous going in but as soon as we started talking to him we felt 10x better. He really knows what he is doing and makes you feel calm throughout the whole ordeal. My friend began to feel a bit light headed after the piercing and Chef went out of his way to offer her a drink, lay her down, and get some air in the room. Needless to say our piercings came out perfectly, he walked us through the aftercare and just like that we were on our way!

Seriously, Chef was amazing. He took the time to make you feel incredibly comfortable and at ease while walking you through the process. No one else can top him!

Nervous as hell driving there.
The second I walked in they greeted me.
Asked if their piercer Chef was still in, he was. (I had come in the day before and they let me know he’d be there.)
Then I realized I was talking to him.
Suuuper chill, my nervousness completely went away thanks to how he went about it.
We kept talking through the whole process (which was legit and clean af) and pretty much distracted me from any pain at all. He suggested the ideal angle for my industrial piercing, regarding safety and comfiness. Told me how to take care of it, and let me know that I could call if I needed help or anything! Everything went a lot better than expected. Also, the price was lower than I expected so that was great. If all goes well with my healing, I’m coming back to get the other side done! There jewelry isn’t the best it’s basically one size fit all and pray to god it works I had to re pierce my nose 2 times and then get it fixed somewhere else and I went back there. Their employees are really chill and cool but they need better jewelry

Got tattooed here twice in one weekend, Friday the 13^th and Valentine’s Day. The first day I got two little tattoos done by Chef, I’m in love with them! He’s really great & easy to talk to. The second day I got a bigger piece that was designed by Christa for a Valentine’s Day flash but Devin (shop owner) tattooed me. He’s an amazing artist & also incredibly nice, it makes getting tattooed so much easier and actually enjoyable. My tattoo turned out beautifully. When you walk in here you don’t get a sense like you’re being judged (I’ve had that happen to me at other shops). Super clean shop, incredibly nice staff and artists, and I love all my tattoos. Even the other clients waiting around were nice both days I went in, overall I’m super happy with my experience here. Definitely won’t be the last time I get tattooed here!

Never been inside a tattoo shop before so I had no idea what to expect. I went here for a naval piercing and right when I stepped in, I was immediately greeted and served. Lucky for me, Chef was the person helping me that day! I heard great reviews about him and so I knew I would be served well that day. He helped me go over the procedure, filling out a consent form, and even helped me choose the jewelry! I was able to choose from the nicest he has to offer and I ended up with a silver gem.
The procedure went by quick just like what Chef said. While he was working on me, he went over the aftercare procedures and I was so distracted on listening, I didn’t feel any of the pain. By the time he finished talking, I was surprised he was also finished with my piercing!
Chef was careful and sincere with every information he was giving me and I really appreciate all of it. My first experience was great and I’m definitely coming back for my first tattoo!

Chef took my vision and put it down perfectly! This tattoo has a lot of meaning and took 5yrs to get due to health reasons. I couldn’t be more honored that Chef was able to do something so meaningful!

I got a tattoo from Kristen today. I had a old tattoo on my shoulder of shooting stars that faded so bad it looked like scratch marks. Kristen covered it with a heart for me and added my kids initials. It didn’t hurt at all and I’m a wimp. I would recommend it to everyone who wants a tattoo!!!

They don’t have a wide variety of jewelry, but it’s a nice little place. I got my nose pierced for $ 30 including jewelry. The piercer was nice, but honestly he didn’t tell me how to take care of it, he didn’t ask if I wanted a stud or a ring and he just gave me a stud with a diamond in it. Thanks for the options dude.
It just seemed like he didn’t give a crap about me at all and just wanted to pierce it really quick and get his tip. He wasn’t mean or anything, but he definitely wasn’t making the effort to make me feel comfortable or make himself seem somewhat knowledgeable about piercings.
Also, I’ve been getting piercings for about 10 years now and I thought that getting a little diamond in my nose would be nothing. It hurt way more than I thought and I got pale, lightheaded and almost passed out. He didn’t even ask me if I was okay. Thanks for caring. This place needs to get it together or they’re headed towards a lawsuit if they mess up.
