Northrop Grumman Credit Union

Would of gotten zero stars if possible. Don’t bank with them! I have a car loan here and their outdated payment system never works correctly and I get punished for it. They are not like other credit unions that put people first. Go else where and save money and hassle.

Patsy try to learn what customer service is. When you pick up the phone and talk to your member as if they are your 5 year old child do not expect a good review.

A very secure banking union. If you are offered to bank at this credit union, I would suggest doing it.

I opened up an account here in order to apply for their car loan. I heard their rates are as low as 1.4%! That’s insanely low! I had the application pre-​filled by the time I got here, so he just needed to type in the information in the computer. I was here for about 20 minutes. No hassle whatsoever.
You know what’s a huge negative about this bank? Their phone customer service! I’ve had to wait 30 minutes before I could talk to a representative!

Never a problem with this location… much better than the one in the LACMTA building. Parking can be a problem since this location is in a shared office building. Only one ATM. The service is fine; no complaints there. I’ve also gotten approval for loans without any snags. Customer service is impeccable; much better than a bank. All and all a good experience!

Man this credit union is so damn amazing! I’ve got a loan from them when I couldn’t turn to anyone else for financial help northrop came through for a brotha. I’ve now been approved for a auto loan and their auto loan % is as low as 1.4 APR and that’s damn good. Either way it go when it comes to finances I always go to them and get some kind of help from them. I have nothing bad to say about Northrop Grumman. I wish they had more offices because the drive to Gardena is kinda far for me and the building at Gateway Plaza can be inconvenient as far as parking but other than that overall on a scale from 1 – 10 I give them above 10.
Credit unions show more love than Banks and Northrop Grumman is one of them:-)

We have been members for 25 years. Compared to another credit union we belong to, and the bank with which we do business, this credit union is totally old school. It’s very laborious to do any transactions on line. it seems every time I attempt to complete an online transaction, I’m jumping through many hoops and I finally decide to just mail the darn thing in via snail mail. today I called the Max Specialist and she was totally unable to help me. We will be closing our account shortly.

I tried to join online a little over a week ago. Everything appeared to go smoothly, I was able to log in, and I even got a welcome packet in the mail. Then when I tried to log in on Friday I was blocked with a notice that my account was restricted and that I needed to contact a member service representative. I just got a chance to call today and was told that my initial money transfer had failed, probably because I entered the wrong number. I have no problem with that except that they evidently cannot straighten this out online and now want me to mail them a deposit! A very bad first impression, unfortunately.

The folks at Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union (190^th & Vermont) are amazing and great to work with. I never expected to like a bank!
No fees, even checking accounts pay interest, free web banking, free atm usage (any Co-​op atm!), lower interest on loans, and the best part– they are nice. Big shout out to the NGFCU for that. There is always some special deal going so most people can join, even if you don’t work for the right company. No problem. I joined some little museum for a 1-​time $ 20 so I could be a CU member. Man, that was a good deal!
No matter what I need, they always have a way to get it done, and I always feel like a valued customer. They do not have a lot of branches, but that doesn’t matter because you can use almost any atm for FREE if it has the Co-​Op logo. Also — you can even make deposits at the newer ATMs, like at 7 – 11. Really great. The people working at NGFCU seem pretty happy to be there, and more than 1 have told me that it is a happier place to work than the major bank they used to work at.
Banking at this Credit Union is just plain BETTER, and I don’t see myself ever going back to the sucky major banks again. (Like Union Bank sucks big time).

PROS:

They come once a week to my work location
CONS:
No weekend hours
Limited locations
They come ONLY once a week to my work location.
Rates on a standard share account are not that great
(but better than a bank).
Long lines and lousy parking at this location
