Crestview RV – Buda

Purchased our RV back in February at the RV show in Austin. Easy, smooth experience. Love my RV and would recommend checking out Crestview. They have a great selection.

Awful experience with this dealership. They use cheap tactics to fleece any unsuspecting buyer. The service is terrible its like a weird country club of old sales people who couldn’t care less to look at you. The one you get will barely help you and try to squeeze every last dime they see in your pockets. BUYER BEWARE!

I wish I could give zero stars! This place is a dump. I visited this location with my husband and brother in law. The salesman was to busy helping another couple to acknowledge us. We went into the lobby and were coldly greeted by the receptionist. We asked if she could help us and she said «the salesman is almost done». We waited… and waited… AND WAITED! 30 minutes of waiting was enough so we asked her if we could just take a look by ourselves. She replied «No, they’re all locked» as she left the room we were in. I was just appalled at the lack of customer service at this place. We decided to just see what we could on the outside and quickly left. Please stay far away from this place and their rude lazy staff.

After dealing with the douchebags down at Camping World in New Braunfels (see my review about them), I decided to try Crestview for some repairs to my awning and siding (my driveway and my camper don’t get along, is all I’m going to say about that). Anyway, I filed an insurance claim and spoke to Dave in the service department. He couldn’t have been nicer and easier to work with. When I took the camper in, he sized everything up and promised me regular calls with the status.
He delivered on everything he promised. Boom. That happened.
Dave kept me apprised throughout the repair process. I never had to call him. Not once. He called or emailed me every time. The repairs were completed in a perfectly reasonable time. Not only was the camper as good as new, he even had the whole unit cleaned up for me.
He was a total class act, a man of his word and had a solid handshake. I’ll do business with a guy like that every time. He has won over all my RV business.

Drove all the way down to Crestview RV in Buda thinking bigger is better. I was wrong.
We walked in and were met by a Salesman who took us in, sat us down at a desk to outline what we wanted. I outlined that I wanted a pop up under $ 10,000 and with this and that for this down — granted, my list of desires were somewhat high and the price I wanted low for what we were looking for.
Without even attempting to discuss where I was off or incorrect, the salesman put his pen down and said «We have nothing for you.» That was it. No elaboration, no nothing. Just silence. Please note that this is the place that advertises trailers at $ 6995 on a big painted sign.
And we left.
At no time did he attempt to educate us on where our preconceived notions were wrong, outline what we could expect at different price points, make suggestions, or show us anything. I expect that our «entry level» RV price was too low and he didn’t find it worth his time, so he would rather get us out the door and hope the folks behind us wanted a motor coach.
We wound up driving to Princess Craft in Round Rock, where Steve spent time explaining our options and considerations to us and gave us a far, far better experience.
Do not recommend Crestview RV in Buda (unless you are spending enough to get good service from them).

Had a terrible experience with this location. I bought a 25 foot 30 amp extension chord from the Georgetown location. It was the wrong chord, so I wanted to return it.
I live closer to the Buda location, so I brought the chord in along with my receipt. The 2 employees were incredibly rude and told me I had to drive to Georgetown to return the $ 50 chord. I explained how driving to Georgetown and back would cost as much in gas as the chord and asked them to please contact Georgetown and arrange for a return.
After waiting, they came back and said they would not return it. I explained that I had previously purchased 2 RVs from them and that I should be treated like a valued customer. They refused to take the chord.
Will not purchase from Crestview RV Center ever again, as they clearly don’t understand customer service.

Had a great experience when buying my travel trailer. This was due to the fact that the salesperson, Dawn, did not try to push the sale on me. What she did that was truly impressive, and appreciated, was inform me about the product. Since I was a first time buyer, this was very important to me. Most sales people just want to sell the product. Dawn is an EXCELLENT salesperson. Her husband, Jeff was extremely patient, and helpful after the purchase. It is because of these two people, that if I buy another RV, I will buy from CrestviewRV.

I worked with two salesmen on the phone and they were both great. Being in sales, I can typically spot a «features and benefits’ pitch (which I can’t stand because how do you know the features and benefits that I care about???) and neither Jim nor James used that tactic. Instead, they asked questions pertaining to what I was looking to gain from buying a travel trailer. I’ve since met James face to face and he was professional and helpful. My wife and I met with Steve and he seems to be just as helpful seeing to it that the financial end of the deal would go as smooth as possible.

They only have 1 star because I had to put one to write review. Crooks the whole lot of them. They screwed me on a trade in on 50k RV for a sh*ty little 19 foot with a leak. I took it back and they couldnt find the leak (BS). Well the entire floor is nothing but soft mush now. I will speak to a attorney tomorrow to see what to do with them !!!

We have been loyal to Crestview RV in Buda for the past year. And have had a great experience with them I have been to many RV centers but have to say that Matt is very knowledgeable and honest in what he does and will be recommending all of my friends to Crestview to ask for Matt. Thanks for keeping us a happy customer.

SCAM ARTISTS preying on people who don’t know the ins and outs of RV repair. I believe that EVERY single bit of the $ 920 I spent there was a lie. Let me tell you why: I am trying to sell my elderly grandfather’s RV that has been on ONE SINGLE trip of 4000 miles. The service guys knew I wasn’t familiar with this rig. I dropped it off because the front leveling jack wouldnt come down, I thought it was broken. But had only tried using it in one specific driveway. Also I couldn’t get the back furnace to blow air out of the vents. They call with estimate of $ 750 saying they had to completely remove the furnace to inspect, and they had to dissasemble the jack, clean it out and put it back taking several hours of labor.
So when I go to pick up the RV, I ask to speak to the tech and have him show me the proper operation of the jacks. I quickly realize that the jack was working all along, I just didnt know, that based on the surface you are parked, the front jack may not deploy if it’s not necessary for leveling. This is a brand new RV. He told me he fixed it, CHARGED ME FOR AN ALREADY WORKING JACK. I believe it was working all along.
For the furnace, same story, I wasn’t using the control panel correctly. As soon as I saw the tech turn it on and off, I realized I never even turned it on correctly. They took this and ran with it. They said they spent over 3 hours fixing furnace, but never got a straight answer about what they actually repaired?
Lastly, the floorboard for the passenger that slides in and out stopped working so I asked them to look it over and call me. They never called to inform me, they went ahead and spliced a broken wire, and taped it out of the way and charged me additional $ 165 saying that took 1 hr and half. Nice of them to check with me first. I guess they dont think that is a lot of money.
My gut instincts have me believing these things simply because of the behavior of the techs there. They seemed irritated when I questioned the previous repairs after I had already paid. The tech was very unfriendly, and made us feel like a burden for being there. I firmly believe that eye contact and body language speak volumes. Not to mention, out of 7 other employees hanging around, not a single one greeted us in any way other than glaring.

Worst service ever. $ 1350 for replacing batteries (3 of them), replacing a faucet, airing up our tires, an air filter and the carb on my generator. They were supposed to fix the cab AC but told us that the condenser was shot and wanted an additional $ 1300 for that. We took it straight to another mechanic and it turned out that the AC just needed to be recharged because there was a leak in the system. They found the leak, recharged the AC and it was only $ 219 and it is now running like new. However, on the way to the mechanic we noticed that the back end felt squishy so had the mechanic check the air pressure. They never even checked it — 4 of the six tires ware 10 — 20 psi low. $ 450 of Crestview’s bill was on generator work. I am now wondering if the carb even needed to be replaced (or was it even replaced?).

I took my pop-​up camper to Crestview to fix the lights. They were very knowledgeable, courteous, and not overly expensive. I will definitely use them again, when I need trailer or RV service.
(I have used them in the past to fill propane bottles also.)

The Crestview RV team from the front desk, cashier, maintenance, and sales were superb. I will be sending my friends to them. But, most of all I have to give a special thanks to J.J. Jackson, my sales rep. He took care of me like I was family and continues to be there to answer any question I have. If you are considering buying an RV or anything of the like then go to Crestview and ask for J.J. He’s the best!
