Last week we stopped at lunchtime. I ordered fried clam appetizer, expecting maybe 12. Got about 30. No wonder it was $ 22. My husband craved some linquica, but was told they only served it at breakfast, so settled for excellent clam chowder. Today we went for breakfast. His cousin likes to go there for the Portugese breakfast including linquica. Yea, they had it today but apparently not every day. My 10″ plate was covered in excellent corned beef hash. The two sweet bread servings of toast were delicious but way too much. A great place to go if you are a lumberjack or eating contest participant.

After you pack ya ca in the Haa vaad yaad, head up to Gloucester and fest on a bowl of clam chaad-daa and the best lobster roll ever. We tried several lobster rolls up and down Main/Rogers Streets, but none matched those from LL. The service is great, wait staff is friendly and helpful. The portions are healthy in size and well balanced. Can’t say enough… go there.

This is a summer favorite, and they have an amazing clam appetizer that I can’t stop thinking about. Good service, usually a wait, but love the food, love the portions, love the view, love the beer.

Have eaten here 4 or 5 times in the past few weeks as I an in town on business. Their lobster roll is amazing, and there Clam Chowder is the best I have had. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

I went while it was very busy for takeout. The hostess was great at juggling many things at once, allowed us to order exactly what we wanted even though it wasn’t on the menu that way, and brought it outside where we were waiting with our dogs. The food was fresh and delicious. Great service. Great food.

We’ve been coming to Lobsta Land as with my family for years, it is a bit outdated but the food is fabulous. If you go for brunch be ready to leave full! And if you stay for dinner sit in the bar, it’s a bit more updated and the patrons and staff are all very friendly.

GREAT place for seafood if you are hungry or even for small plates. Big portions, great bartenders, good GF options. GF chowder was terrific even for not being as thick as when you add flour. Caesar salad comes with option of anchovies on top — nice touch. The paella was enough for two and was probably the best I’ve had outside of the coast of Spain. They tend to be very busy at normal eating hours, get there early or late for a seat at the bar and great seafood right off the highway.

Lobsta land was a great stop for us for a late lunch/early dinner. The good: Good beer selection on tap Huge portions Baja chicken quesadilla and lobster artichoke salad were delish Inside was cute, a bit dated but cozy Nice window views of the marsh Large menu selection– lots of seafood choices as well as options for the non-fish eaters The bad: Décor is a little old. Wood paneling and such if that kind of thing bugs you Portions are huge– pace yourself. I don’t think I ate for the next 14 hours after the meal by that was my own fault One of the best places for good local seafood in a casual setting in Gloucester!

We received a strong recommendation for lobsta land. Upon our arrival we were impressed with the neatness, cleanliness and décor of the restaurant and bar area. That said, the bartender was solely responsible for the bar area(bar and tables surrounding the bar). The bartender who was later identified as Dawn had an unwelcoming attitude when we first walked in and immediately stressed to us that she was working alone and gave us a sigh indicated so. While ordering, one of the members in my party asked about the fish chowder. Dawn replied quickly with a sub par answer and told us to «chop chop«she was busy . At peak season I would think that the restaurant would have the proper amount of wait staff to adequately service its customers. Aside from the sub optimal service provided by Dawn, the food was good but not excellent.

Drove an hour tinted this pace. All the waitresses are awesome. The cooks and kitchen staff are funny and nice. It’s a very warm and welcoming place. So I had the coconut shrimp and it was sooo good. My Caesar salad had just the right amount of dressing and garlic flavor. I had the house steak and boy was it good. It had that nice grilled flavor and the potatoes were good. I finished the night off with Crème brûlée and that was good too.

I am addicted to clams and I came her because I heard it was good and they were good. I have to say I was quite impressed with the well stocked bar and layout which I did not expect for a restaurant off the highway. Even though I took my order to go, the servers were quite attentive while I waited at the bar. I did notice how spotless and clean the restaurant/bar and restroom are which are big details for me!

Have been to Lobsta Land MANY times over the span of 8 years. Have always had mostly wonderful experiences. Their clam chowder is one of my favorites, the lazy man lobster dish is phenomenal, and I recently tried the yellowfin tuna– LOVED it. Usually have very good experiences with the servers as well, but tonight we had Diane L as our server and she was clearly having an «off day.»(Unless that’s how she is everyday.) Regardless, my family and I love Lobsta Land and highly recommend it.

This place«lobster land«is a joke, I’ll agree that there dishes are good food but the customer service is cunning! I went with a group of six driving from Peabody mass. They seat us, we drinks and have a few laughs. Now we order minutes after and they tell us there out of lobster rolls! Okay so your going to go over our heads sit us knowing your out of lobster rolls. I then ask how long have you been out and she said about two hours. Our party is upset and so am I. A restaurant called«lobster land» with no lobster rolls. They sat us knowing they did not have lobster rolls then sat another couple behind us and played the same trick on them! Then my buddy and I want to order there pork dish and guess what they are out of that! No reduced bill no apology and attitude by wait service. I will never spend my money there again. I warn anyone there especially if there is a wait to be seated«Ask if they are out of anything» before you get seated ! Otherwise be ready to get a surprise Hour later manager«Megan«private messages me this You Are Telling Lies Between Megan D. and Marco C. Back to your inbox Megan D. Gloucester, MA 00 6 hours ago Block User Dear Marco, Your Unilocal review of your experience at Lobsta Land tonight is not only full of lies but also chock full of grammatical errors(«their» not«there», please take note it, may improve the validity of your future Unilocal reviews). Where to begin? 1. You were a group of 5, not 6. 2. The lobster rolls were 86’d(called out) within an hour of you putting your name on the wait list, being seated, ordering a round of drinks(which your server had to come back to place an order at 3 separate occasions because of the other party member’s indecisiveness) and placing an order for an appetizer. Only then, after you had been settled into your drinks and appetizer did you order your entrée’s and at that time the pork special that you also wanted to order was also 86’d. I would like to remind you that you were sat and ordered within 30 minutes of the kitchen closing so it is very likely that a special item be 86’d at that time due to it’s limited abundance and high popularity, as one of your party members mentioned if I do remember. 3. Your server checked on your table repeatedly, making sure you were receiving excellent service and enjoying your meals and was met with an above satisfactory reply with each inquiry–«Everything is great!”-every time your server checked on you so don’t lie and say your server had an attitude, if something was wrong, then was the time to mention it. Not now after you have fully digested a meal(that was specially prepared to your liking, without mushrooms, even though that is how it is typically prepared and the restaurant was pumping out food at full volume) from the plate which you licked CLEAN or after you decided you should have maybe called ahead for a reservation like the other hundreds of satisfied customers of which you will read positive Unilocal reviews from. 4. Our award winning lobster rolls are prepared in a particular way that once we have run out of the prepared portions it is up to the chef to make the appropriate decision to 86 the item rather than«wing it» in order to uphold the standard of the quality of the item rather than appease a rather rude and demanding customer such as yourself. I would say, please come back and enjoy one of these incredible lobster rolls next chance you get, but you have already shamed the restaurant with your false accusations and have sworn to never pay for another meal at our restaurant, and well, we don’t give out lobster rolls to unappreciative, assholes such as yourself, so have fun searching for your next fix! I’m pretty sure McDonald’s seasonal run of lobster rolls will be in full swing by August, enjoy! #imlovingit People like you use Unilocal to express your own passive aggressive behaviors rather than making it a place where people can actually learn valuable information about a hard working, well staffed, incredibly delicious and satisfactory restaurant like Lobsta Land! Please stop spreading your poison and misery to unassuming readers just looking for a good meal, which we will provide, and more! Check yourself Megan

Went Friday night with a group of 8. We changed times and # of group a couple times. Gina the person making reservations said they were very understanding. They were very busy and we had a little wait. No prob. We were seated and ordered drinks. Server did great with our large group. I got the Fish & Chips. Most places overcook the fish. It came out perfect. Crispy on the outside and juicy on inside. A large portion of cod or haddock done to perfection. It came with fries and coleslaw. My GF was amazed that I ate all the fish. the coleslaw was interesting. It had golden raisons and apples. Very light and fresh. Nobody complained about food or drink. Would go back just for the fish.

I went there last night with three friends. We were not from the area so picked this place based off of the Unilocal reviews which were almost 5 star. I wish the service was the same. We were seated before 8 p.m. and ordered by 8:15. We ordered one clam chowder which was watery and bland and took almost fifteen minutes to come. At about 9 we got our entrees. Which were a fried haddock plate a cheeseburger and a fried chicken salad. We all thought it was a bit ridiculous that those three things tool almost an hour to cook. Our waitress was not attentive at all as well. We will absolutely not be going back and I will let people know about this place and it’s service or lack there of.

We stopped here on our way home and we were so glad that we did. This is by far the best bouillabaisse we’ve ever had. The fish are perfectly cooked, but the broth is the stand-out. Gorgeous depth of flavors and plenty of bread to sop up every last drop. We also ordered the broiled scallops. They were sweet and succulent. The cracker topping was buttery and delicious. The place is cozy and laid-back, the service is fast and friendly. If you’re in town, stop here and definitely try the bouillabaisse!
