David Yurman

Oh, myyyy… it’s nearing Christmas 2015 and I’m putting my request in to Santa for «something» from the newly opened David Yurman store in Ala Moana’s Ewa Wing. This is David Yurman’s first boutique in Hawaii but his jewelry has been available to locals and visitors through other fine upscale department stores.
I’ve always been attracted to the Cable Classics Collection which features sterling silver with 18K gold and/​or various gemstones. The metal cable is sculpturally bold and can be quite weighty, dependent upon the jewelry piece. The iconic cable is often paired with finials of rare gemstones, semi-​precious stones or gold. The jewelry looks strong yet feminine.
Wandering into this store, I could feel my heart skip a beat then race as I excitedly browsed. The sales people are friendly and very professional. Admittedly, I wasn’t really dressed to be looking at fine jewelry (I was in my «walking clothes» with windblown hair) so I didn’t really present well. Sorry for the unkept look… Yet, no one EVER gave me the once-​over look to wonder why I even came in. But, once I started talking to one of the women there about the Cable Classic collection, it became clear that I was a fan and have DY pieces.
So, I’m asking Santa to «update» my collection here that way, I promise that I’ll not wander into any DY boutiques while we’re on the Mainland then worry about where to safely put the jewelry until we get home!
