Hi, my name is Bodhi and I am a professional lifestyle photographer specializing in Beach, Family and Romantic Portrait Photography in Waikiki, Oahu Hawaii.

I am a fun, creative Oahu photographer specializing in gorgeous family beach portraits, romantic couples sunset beach photos and destination beach wedding photography. From playful kids beach photos, to sunset portraits on the beach with romantic sweethearts, I love to capture special memories for clients in the stunning beauty of Hawaii.

Photo sessions are done on location at a local Waikiki park or beach, or if you have transportation, can be done at more «off the beaten path» locations that feature the most stunning natural settings Hawaii has to offer.

Hello, my name is Bodhi and I’m a professional photographer based out of Waikiki, Oahu Hawaii. I have a deep affinity for the ocean and nature, and a zest for learning and adventure. What I love the most about photography is that it’s taught me to look, really look, at everyday life around me and notice just how much beauty is everywhere! I also love how good photography requires an intimacy, vulnerability and connection with a subject to make a truly great image.

I have been a self-​employed entrepreneur since I was 20, and have worked as a contractor, business owner, motorcycle racing instructor, website designer, scuba divemaster, underwater photographer, outdoor guide, and a great many other odd things. I eventually began to discover that my greatest satisfaction comes from supporting people in being light hearted — life is supposed to be fun!

The reasons why we chose Bodhi to take our family photos:
1. He responded very quickly to our request for a quote (the same with a few other photographers).
2. He was able to fit us in his schedule with only a WEEK notice (the same with a few other photographers).
3. His quote was much cheaper compared to $ 500 from another photographer (who also wanted the $ 500 up front due to the short notice).
4. His website has tons of family photos on the beach.
One of our sons has autism and the other is a wild two-​year old. Bodhi was able to get their attention just enough for him to get some «formal» shots, even at 5:30 in the morning. We were hoping for at least a very nice family photo on the beach and we got a truly EPIC family photo on the beach (with some fantastic candid shots, too).

Let me start out by saying, if you’re curious about Bodhi’s work (that’s probably why you’re here reading reviews), don’t worry. Bodhi is the best photographer I’ve worked with and that you’ll have. He took my pre-​wedding photos and also my wedding reception photos. All of them turned out amazing– vibrant, clear, and most of all captured our true selves. My guests cannot stop raving about my pictures. They are just that spectacular!
Bodhi is amazing to work with. Very funny, friendly, easy to communicate with, and most important of all — delivers the photos fast!!! My husband and I woke up the day after our wedding to find that he has sent us two photos to satisfy our curiosity and impatience. He knows us too well by now. It really was beautiful pictures that I had to keep asking Bodhi for more!!! :)
This is an honest review of the quality of service and product I’ve received from him. We look forward to having Bodhi photograph us in the future.

I’ve worked with Bodhi several times and each time is better than the last. I’m a wedding planner and continue to use his services over and over and am always impressed. His work is website quality and gorgeous. He works flawlessly in indoor and outdoor settings and is especially great at sunset photos. Nothing is more memorable than the experience of carrying your first child. I had seen a lot of Bodhi’s photos and always thought they were beautifully done and not just a carbon copy of what others have gotten. I decided to hire Bodhi for my maternity photos and will always be grateful to him for being able to capture a beauty that I myself didn’t even know I had. The photos Bodhi took had the beauty of the Hawaiian sunsets and rolling ocean but to my surprise he was also able to capture the love I have for the tiny being I was carrying inside of me.

Out of 3 photographers i finally picked 1 to capture the moment of our lifetime visiting Oahu and going back home. I reside in Vegas now but half of the family lives on Oahu and with our busy schedules and my parents getting old i figured i had one chance to capture one special moment with all of us! Look no further… i picked the right guy! After talking over the phone for hours describing what i wanted down to tips on location, background and even clothes, Bhodi finally came up w a solution to all and then stated hopefully mother nature would be on our side and she was! The pictures turned out amazing and better than i thought! Bhodi was professional, prompt, patient and pleasing! He pleased me and that was hard to do! LOL. Good Job Bhodi! I only wish u could take some of that talent to Vegas because i have more moments that id love to capture! :)

Bodhi went above and beyond on our engagement pictures and they turned out beautifully! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We went on a morning hike on Makapuu trail and Bodhi met us at the top for a surprise engagement and photo session with champagne! He even suggested the location! The photos were easy for us and our families to view, download, and share afterward. We can’t say enough good things! Highly recommended!

Great photographer and very responsive with getting back to us on all our questions. We hired Bodhi to take our family pictures and he was incredible from start to finish. He really knows how to capture the right moment and how to perfectly light a picture. The price he charges is extremely reasonable for the time he spends and the quality pictures he takes. He was extremely patient with our 2 boys (age 8 and 4) and made it a fun and enjoyable experience for all of us. And he turned around all our pictures in less than 24 hrs! We took our pictures on a Friday evening and they were ready for viewing Saturday morning. That’s customer service!

Even though we were super late, he was very understanding and accommodating.
