O’sung Auto Body & Paint

Wasted 3 hours of my time waiting on a tow truck. Incorrectly relayed information to my insurance provider, and didn’t answer their phones multiple times when I tried to call them directly. When I did manage to get ahold of them, they weren’t helpful with getting an ETA. Wound up cancelling and going with another service.
edit: Driver called me back and was nice, courteous and helpful. Sometimes shit just happens and I think he got caught in the crossfire.

Great service fast follow up. Yun personally text and email me the status of my repair with pictures. Repair and paint job came out like brand new. Highly recommended if you drive any type of German car or you are a car lovers. Yun the owner is very knowledgeable about car. You won’t be disappointed.

Biggest liars and jerks ever.
I called roadside with State Farm and explained that my tire came off the the ball joint in the Waikiki Plaza Parking deck. After a long time on hold, and the Agent assured me that all the info was relayed and that this company had all the right equipment, this company’s info was texted to me, ETA 90 minutes at 8:25pm. So I wait. At 8:35 I call the number and the guy who answers says, «Oh, well we didn’t realize that your car was off the ball joint, and we don’t have the right equipment. It’s gonna be another hour.»
Of course I go bananas! WTF! Why would you take the call, after the Star Farm Roadside Agent explained everything, and then not have the courtesy to call me?! Why lie to me and say «Oh, we didn’t know»? All I asked was, «Where are you?», not saying anything about the ball joint. And for that jerk to LIE TO ME and have the nerve to tell me to wait another hour?! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Update: Thank you for your super professional response, Yun. Even after your attempted insults, you still didn’t tell me why you took the call even though you knew you didn’t have the right equipment, why you didn’t bother to give me a courtesy call to let me know, so that I ended up calling you guys back 10 minutes past ETA, and why you would lie to me about not knowing about the full situation of my vehicle. I didn’t blame you at all for my vehicle, so your claim is pointless.

Man, times may have changed, but osung has not. Amazing quality of service, turn around time, and price. Have referred all my friends here and not a single let down. Kudos to Yun and his crew for all their hard work and being a business truly deserving of all their sucess! A+ and then some!

Had to get my son’s car towed from my house to a repair shop. Jonah from Osung was very personable and very helpful. He said he works on cars and took a look at the car. The car was hooked up in no time and delivered the car to the repair shop promptly. Jonah gave me a courtesy call after delivery of the vehicle. He called me back again and described what he observed with the car after looking at it a second time and gave me his opinion. He mentioned that it might be a quite simple fix and that he wanted to inform me of this possible problem to make sure I don’t get over charged by the auto repair shop. Talk about going over and beyond to care for customers!!! Jonah, You Da Man! Thank you!

Repair shop confirmed that Jonah’s assessment of the problem was correct. Jonah knows what he’s doing. Thanks again!

I would like to thank this company; not only for towing my vehicle to the dealership for repairs, but for the quality of care shown to us during the process. Mr. Jonah was extremely knowledgable and answered all of our questions.

This is the only place other than Mercedes that I would take my car. My seat motor broke, and Mercedes said that it would take 2 weeks to get the part. I took it to O’Sung and they ordered the part and it came in a matter of a couple days and they fixed in less than a day! They did great work and they even let me use a loaner while they had my car!

Jonah was very helpful in explaining what he was doing to show all precautions to keep my car safe during the tow. Very personable, professional and all around great service. Highly recommend if you’re in need of a tow. Their tow truck was very clean and immaculate on the inside which made the ride along very comfortable.
My insurance company choose towing provider so I was unaware who I’d get. Now I’ll specifically ask for Osung if I ever need Towing.

I was extremely happy with the service and results that I got at O’sung. A valet driver had an incident with my vehicle and O’sung’s made it a seamless, quick and easy problem to fix. They did not have a vehicle for me to drive while the car was in the shop, so took me to enterprise and arranged everything. Even the driver who took me to enterprise was extremely nice and I enjoyed the ride. The owner was kind and had great customer service. He made me feel comfortable that my car was in good hands. When my car was being worked on for a front bumper replacement, I was texted photo confirmation to let me know my car was ready. At pick up, my car was cleaned and looked much better than it was as I dropped it off. Would highly recommend. I will be back! Thank you O’Sung’s :)

My fiancée just came back from O’sung and I’m really impressed by their job; not to mention, their prices were very reasonable. They really take care of their customers and I’m so happy my fiancée found them. If we ever need any type of auto body work done, we’re definitely going to them.
When my fiancée said he was going to find a good auto body shop, I was worried they were going to rip him off. Fortunately the prices were reasonable and they did an outstanding job with fixing our Lexus. Thank you, Yun!

I just got off the phone with this shop. Yikes. Asked if I could get my front grill repaired on my vehicle and bring it in for a quote. Guy told me, «sorry I can’t help you». Is that not what you do is help people? Then he hung up on me. WTF. Don’t want my money. Cool. Unbelievable.

I have nothing but great things to say about O’sung auto body. They work quick and efficient while maintaining a high quality of work. O’sung was also able to squeeze me into their very busy schedule in order to accommodate my needs due to my work schedule. Not only was I able to get the body of my car fixed, I was able to have my oil changed as well. Again, very accommodating.
I would highly recommend any of my friends and family to get all of their vehicle needs taken care of at O’sung.

AMAZING is all I can say! I was referred to Yun at O’Sung Auto Body & Paint to fix the rear bumper of my wife’s car as someone had rear ended us. I’m always a little apprehensive when it comes to repair shops as you hear some of the horror stories. However with Yun it was 5 star service from start to finish. I pulled into the body shop, met with Yun for 10 minutes and was out the door. I was planning on catching an Über to work, however Yun blew me away by offering me a loaner car for the day. Talk about WOW-​ing your clients! The repair was finalized quickly and the bumper looks brand new! Thank you Yun for taking such good care of us. We really appreciate you.

They do not know how to follow the time-​line which they proposed. While using them to get a tow from my insurance, they said there would be an hour wait. Then they called to say they would be 30 minutes early but i was not at my car so they took another job in the interim. I got to the car 10 minutes before the initial tow time and waited 20 minutes, then called 10 minutes after the originally quoted time. They said they were getting another car and said it would be 25 minutes. I waited the 25 minutes and then after another 25 minutes called them again. No one answered the phone, it was lunch time on Saturday, and i was still sitting in my car waiting for the tow truck when i initially wrote this on Unilocal to mention the crappy service.
Update ¹¹⁄₄: After the first Unilocal content, I waited another hour for a total of two hours; no tow truck, no answer at the shop. Called insurance back to cancel tow, they said that O’sung reported it as «service completed». Took an Über home to be with my kids on Halloween; had car towed next day through another company. Also, I have included the owner’s response below just in case he deletes it later.

Although the baboon comment was amusing, is this how respectable business owners respond to valid criticism? First, Halloween is NOT a national holiday; second, the tow truck never came, working past noon on Saturday was to much; third, my primitive good looks in my «baboon» profile pic is due to it being taken while waiting in my «crappy» car on the side of the road waiting for your tow truck.
The tow truck driver that picked me up the next day did tell me that O’Sung’s tow trucks are nice and they do OK work on cars. I cannot comment on either, but I can say the customer service that I experienced will prevent me from ever considering them for any job. If their tow truck never arrives, it doesn’t matter how nice it is.
Update ¹¹⁄₈: Yun, i corrected the initial write-​up. Your truck never arrived, it was enroute when they called and would not continue to my vehicle because i was not there at that moment, even though i would have arrived about the same time that the tow truck would have arrived. You can continue your personal «baboon» comments, it only solidifies my argument. I am not personally attacking you; just stating my disappointment at your poor customer service.

Just came in yesterday to get my safety check. As usual Osung is a very busy place, but Yun was able to squeeze me in. As with anything it’s better to schedule an appointment. I know some reviews on here have commented on Yun’s demeanor, but that’s just because he’s very busy. When you get pass that he’s really pleasant to work with. Plus they do an awesome job. Feel free to take a look at my previous review.

I don’t recommend going here it you expect polite customer service. When you call they rudely answer the phone with hello. Usually a business answers the phone with a greeting alerting you that you’ve called the right number. (Happened twice on separate days)
On top of that there’s no parking. Absolutely none
I ended up not even getting my window repaired because of how I was treated.

I think it was destined to take my car to O’sung and to meet Yun. I had been referred to him through several mutual friends, but didn’t make time to schedule an appointment for our cars cosmetic needs.
I was out on the town one evening and we were riding in a limo bus for the eve. As I waited outside the pickup point, the limo driver started yelling «Mike! Mike!» and I notice its a long time friend of mine. Coincidentally, he works for Yun as one of his tow-​truck drivers as well.
Fast forward to back a few weeks ago, I was on my way to my business appointment when my battery and brake light lit up on my dashboard. Being a Web Doctor, I decided to search and diagnose my cars condition. My first thoughts were the battery connection was faulty due to battery acid build up. First results in my online search were a bad alternator… Dammit!
I drove to an Oreilly’s to clean up my battery and be on my merry way. As I left O’reillys (battery & brake light still on), the car dies right by Keauumoku and Young St. Dammit!
End result after various attempts, hours of standing in the sun (shirtless as I didn’t want to get my work shirt sweaty), and redundant jump-​starts; I needed professional help. And a tow.
O’sung has tow trucks that will come and pick up your vehicle and return it to your house if you are too busy and willing to pay for the service. I bought the alternator and his licensed mechanics swapped out my alternator much quicker than I had anticipated.
Yun (the owner) is a hard working businessman would delivers a quality service. It shows in his service level and all the great reviews he receives. We will be taking our cars to Osung for any of our concerns.

So Yari (my trusty Toyota Yaris) thinks she’s a tough gal and got into it with a pillar at the Kapiolani 24 hour gym. If you know, you know how that parking lot is. Well Yari did not win and got a really nice dent on her body and rear fender.
I didn’t want to go through my auto insurance since I know that means my insurance will go up. Who do I go to? What do I do? Well, I asked my trusty friend Brian M. who has helped me in the past with some car issues I had. He told me come see Yun at O’Sungs. Well I called Yun. Don’t be alarmed that when you call, he talks fast and gets you off the phone quick. He told me come by for an estimate and I didn’t need an appointment. When I got to the shop which is by the post office on King Street in Kalihi, I knew why he was so abrupt on my call, their garage had a ton of cars to work on. They were slammed. I noticed that they had luxury cars and racer kind of cars that they were working on so I knew this place was legit since we all know how those owners are.
I was able to get a rough estimate that day and he gave me a good deal considering the situation.
I decided to give them a try and had them fix my poor Yari. I’m grateful that they fit me in since they were so busy. The repairs and auto body work took longer than expected, but not because of the shop. Toyota had a high demand for my car parts and it took awhile for them to ship the part that the shop needed. Yun was great and kept me well informed of the situation. They were very short calls and sometimes they were texts. LOL. I got used to his calls being abrupt and to the point. Don’t take it as anything else but that the man is super busy! However, he’s very accommodating and works with you.
When I got my car back, it was like brand new. They did a great job getting her fixed up. You would never have known she was in a fight with a pillar. The paint job was great.
This shop does amazing work and you won’t be disappointed. Yun will try to work with you and as busy as they are, accommodate you. As great of a job they did, I hoped that I wouldn’t need to come back to the shop.
Well I realized recently that my safety check expired. How could that have happened??? Oh yeah, I moved out on my own and my mom couldn’t remind me anymore. LOL Well luckily they do safety checks here. Call before you go to make sure they have time. I stopped by after work and as busy as they looked, I was in and out in no time with my new safety check.
Great service, work and very efficient. Definitely calling them again if I have any issues again with Yari. Hopefully she can behave herself.

Yun and his team are A1!
I mean this because I have taken my Beemer here for a year now, and wouldn’t have it any other way. I am originally from Cali, La to be specific, and I know that I used to have the advantage of going to any shop that works on BMW’s, and that I would have awesome service without breaking the bank!
Well, once I got here to Oahu I realized I either had to take my car to BMW and pay and arm and a leg, or take it to a local shop. I was introduced to Yun through my boyfriend and I know he is legit because my man also takes his BMW 6 series here for everything.
I get my oil changes here, as well as any repairs, and more recently my car was damaged during the last flood/​storm. Now I will admit that my car is going through hormonal changes, and when a car goes through that it’s not fun! BUT … my car is still an ultimate driving machine and once fixed we can get back to our lives.
Yun is the real car doctor and he double checks after his team to make sure that the job is done right and that he is being fair. They even have loaner cars if they realize your car will take a little more time then expected, which is a huge plus, since we all have our lives to tend to.
I am grateful to be able to give my money to a local small business such as Osung Autobody, and to a family man. Yes!!! Don’t forget to congratulate Yun on his new bundle of joy. It makes me happy to know I am supporting a local business, and in turn they support me and many others.
Osung also has a 24 hour towing service which is good to know, AND limo service !!! Woot woot :)
