The staff at Tokyo Optical are very friendly and knowledgeable. They’re very good on adjusting and fitting you for your eye glasses. Karen, Arlene, and the rest of the staff are just awesome! I totally recommend if you ever need to get glasses or just need some adjustments, come to this store.

After reading the reviews on Unilocal(few as they were) I had my doubts about going here, but wow! I guess you really can’t believe everything you read. The guy who helped me was superr friendly and nice. He immediately asked if I needed help looking for anything. I wasn’t really actually planning on committing to anything that day since I usually like to shop around and check out prices and various other options, but the man who helped me, a mid-aged guy with a Japanese accent, spent so much time comparing different frames, talking to me about my face shape and what style might go with it and took my wants into consideration that I actually found a frame that I absolutely ADORED and could not leave without. I admit, this place is a little on the pricey side, but well worth it. It’s been a month since I got the frames and still love it as much as the day I found it! All in all, I probably paid a little more for glasses then I thought I would, but the customer service and quality was def worth it.

***Located in Shirokiya, near the back corner by the cameras*** What bad service. Plain and simple. Waste of my time. With service like that they should just expand the camera department. I couldn’t even tell you about what their selection was because right after my brief encounter with the lady that work there I was out. I went there because a very nice lady from the Sears Optical place suggested that they may have the frames I am look for. The cat-eye frame from the 50’s.I got there, and the first lady welcomed me, I said hello and asked if they sold the«cat-eye frames» she said«what?» with the face of confusion splash with disgust.(I’m gonna let this facial expression go cause hey, we don’t all have the best facial-reaction to stuff that are new to us) She asked if that was the name of a brand, and I made the pinch-motion near my eyes and repeat cat-eyes from the 50’s maybe 60’s era. It registered and she said, sorry they didn’t. THEN… … an older Asian women with wire circle frame glasses who was doing paperwork next to her chimed in. Worker: «Oh we had those yeeeaaarss ago»(not looking up from her paper) Me: «Oh, do you carry anything similar» Worker: «No we don’t»(sit looking down) Me:(noticing she wouldn’t even look up at me) REALLY? *harsh tone* nothing even REMOTELY similar? Worker:(finally looks up) Yeah, it was yyyyyyears ago we had them, and we don’t any more”. Me and my friend walked away. In the end I can understand why they are located in the back corner.
