So far the best pharmacy I have ever been to.
Always nice and knowledgeable staff and of course timely.
Even though it’s kind of far from me I would still go there because they are reliable and professional.
Great service and great people!

Never go there again… I bought a very expensive support medical hosiery. After got home, I realized that was not the right size and style like the box label indicated, I went back to store to return immediately. The old lady who is the cashier refuse to return and yell at me until the manager show up. Bad feelings. don’t need them yell at me especially this is not my fault… sad part is I would have hang out in that gift area and bought something but they really help me change my mind to leave asap.

The people who left bad reviews for this place are nuts. This pharmacy is great and the gift shop is very fun. I like it so much better than the chain pharmacies in town. This pharmacy has a soul.

Avoid this pharmacy at all costs.
I have visited them on at least four occasions to fill a compound prescription for my daughter, and on each and every visit they have shown an alarming consistency of treating customers like shit.
Here are a few examples:
1. Never filled my prescription until I arrived (a complete hassle) despite numerous entreaties on my part to have it ready for pick-​up.
2. It took them no less than TWO HOURS and multiple phone calls on my part to my insurance company to have them work out coverage. I had to basically do their work for them.
3. They are a very high-​traffic pharmacy that makes customers wait for an hour or more (see above #1 & 2), with no sitting area.
4. No one has ever smiled at me, or even PRETENDED to give two shits about me or my prescription. Rude, uncaring, inefficient, disorganized.
5. They charged me $ 120 for my daughters script. Fine, that’s their price. When we went to another pharmacy because we were so sick of Briargrove, the other pharmacy charged us half that.
Not to mention they are what amounts to 10 pounds of crap in a 2 pound bag. The entire store looks like Joan River’s estate sale exploded onto the shelves. The Fire Marshall would probably have an aneurism just walking in there, and I would bet money that the handicapped have trouble navigating the resale shop they call a business.
Again, avoid this bullshit «pharmacy» at all costs.

Best Pharmacy in town! Once again, they have surpassed my expectations. Our insurance company was no longer taken at this
and it pretty much broke my 89 year old fathers heart. They’re the only pharmacy in town that knows how to treat patients with very exceptional needs and I couldn’t imagine going back to another big box chain so sit in line, be disrespected, and have nothing but problems. However, the staff at this location made my father a priority and was able to work their magic and get his insurance accepted once again. Now thats customer service!
And if you have a REAL prescription, that other «pretend» pharmacies dont have (why call yourself a pharmacy, if you can’t service the needs of people who need real.medications. Not just Tylenol PM and cough medicine), they will always have it in-​stock and have ample knowledge on almost every substance on the planet. They will be able to assist you in everything from Zolft to Albuterol!

The worst pharmacy I’ve ever experienced. The people working there are extremely rude. I was not greeted with hi how are you, how can I help you; no I was greeted with a YES. So I figured maybe they were having a bad day. My second experience was nothing but the same. You call to get a refill and you are given the third degree because your prescription should have lasted and they would not refill it a day early on a weekend. Is a pharmacy inside a gift shop, extremely tacky. I will stick with a pharmacy that knows Pharmacy not a gift shop owner. I will not go back.

It took four tries at changing my doctor in their records and the owner claimed that his staff is properly trained. They told on Tuesday I had a valid prescription with refills on Tuesday and I told them to refill them on Thursday. On Friday, I had no refills and they wanted to fax my old doctors. I cannot trust them to enter prescriptions, allergies, or doctors. What a joke.

Yeah, cool gift shop. Horrible pharmacy. The people they have working there are incompetent. I have never gone to get a simple refill without something going wrong. I have called in refills and gone to pick them up hours later, only to be told that they aren’t ready because they encountered a problem, and for some reason it just didn’t occur to them that maybe they should give me a call. And when you specifically ask them to call you when something IS ready so as not to waste your time like that again, they will tell you «sure» and then fail to actually do so. I was told by one of these people «well sometimes we get busy, so if you want to know if it’s ready, I would suggest you helping yourself by calling us.» No Lie! They need to fire all the idiots there, or teach them some basic customer service skills. As of the writing of this, the pharmacy LOST 2 of my prescriptions, and after being on hold and disconnected twice, I was finally transferred to a real pharmacist. I asked him to please call my doctor and tell them that they lost my prescriptions so that my doctor could write replacement ‘scripts. The guy told me «I’m in the back doing something right now, but when I’m done I’ll go look for your items, and if I don’t find it THEN I will call your doctor.» DUDE, your employees looked for it for 20 minutes and couldn’t find it. I think it is safe to just call my doctor so I can get my refill before I have to leave town! Unbelievable! On two occasions where I requested delivery service they have managed to screw that up royally as well. I called 5 hours after a request because it hadn’t arrived yet and they put me on hold for 5 minutes only to tell me, unapologetically, that it hadn’t been marked for delivery but that it was ready and waiting for me at the counter if I wanted to come and get it.

The staff at Briar Grove Pharmacy is amazing. I have used many different pharmacies over the years and have always been just another number until now. They actually care about your needs. The service I have received has been outstanding! I highly recommend Briar Grove Pharmacy and thank them for the service I’ve received!!!

Zero customer service skills! Tried to take an item back that was a gift from this place & they flat out refused to do so! Even acted like I was lying about it! Very insulting!!! I will NEVER step foot in that place & will tell everyone I know how they treat their customers!

Absolutely the best!!! Pharmacy and a place to go if you need a last-​minute gift — just about everything imaginable — have handicap items too!

I only gave one star because I have to, they deserve NEGATIVE STARS! I am a disabled chronic pain patient. I called after they came highly recommended. I asked if they carried a certain manufacturer, immediately the man says «I will not tell you who our manufacturers are unless you show me your RX». I said before you assume anything you should listen to a potential customer as I tried to explain I am disabled, live 30 miles away, the other 2 manufacturers make me extremely ill, they came highly recommended even though I live 30+ miles away and I was willing to drive there every month. Even if they were the only pharmacy in the state of Texas I would NEVER give them by business! Obviously the reputation of that part of town is correct. This man had no idea who I was or who I know.

This pharmacy is the best!!! Excellent personal attention at all levels. And back during the last hurricane they were the only ones who could or would fill my prescription. Plus they have a great toy section, darling little gifts, great selection of cards, and I love to see the latest decorations of the season! Love this place!

After getting lots of advertisement for this place I finally decided to give it a try. This store is way more than a pharmacy. It has all sorts of gifts and games and other stuff besides the usual housdehold goods and medication. Their gadget section is very cool and they carry products by Fred.

Briargrove Pharmacy is an exclusive pharmacy with very attentive personnel! David is very patient and always makes sure that his customers are receiving the upmost service. This is the PLACE to shop for the Holiday season!!!

I love this pharmacy! How do they not have a review yet?
I’ve only been here once, when every Walgreen’s and CVS in the Houston area was sold out of a particular prescription, but the store is so delightfully eclectic, kitschy (I mean that in a nice way), and still entirely practical, I’m kind of looking forward to the next time I need to fill a prescription.
First, the practical:
Wait time for my prescription after I dropped it off was less than 15 minutes. Anyone who’s waited for an Rx to be filled at Walgreen’s or CVS knows you can often expect be there for an hour with only greeting cards to stare at for fun. If you’re ever in a hurry, Briargrove is fast.
Also, they carry items I often have a hard time finding. For years, I haven’t been able to find my toothpaste anywhere but some Super Targets and the occasional high-​end HEB, but Briargrove had it. Thermometers that ranked highest in Consumer Reports that I couldn’t find at either CVS or Walgreen’s were all hanging there on hooks at Briargrove. It made me curious to see what other products they chose to carry, because I get the sense that quality products matter to them. I’m interested to try some of their unique hair products.
Now, the fun:
THEY HAVE SUCH GREAT TOYS! All the kinds of things you don’t feel guilty for giving to kids, that are perfect for toy drives — the old quality wooden toys, a wide assortment of puzzles, games, and science and magic kits, illustrated classic literature rewritten for younger audiences. I wanted to be a mother or an aunt or anything, right there and then, just so I could have an excuse to pick a few things up. I ended up with a copy of an illustrated «Robin Hood» for an adult friend whom I know enjoys the story and bathroom reading.
I also found a darling pair of barrettes in their cosmetic area for just $ 1.50. And I don’t wear make-​up, but they appeared to have the kinds of unique specialty items that were in all the other areas of the store.
Lots of seasonal kitsch, too. Halloween is the next upcoming holiday, and someone had the very fun job of setting up a display in the front.
Terrific products, terrific service, old-​fashioned in the best way possible. I was so pleased and impressed.
