PROS: VERY good with posing (Denise knows how to high light your good features), pretty good editing, made me feel comfortable during the shoot.
CONS: cheap looking settings/​backgrounds in the «studio» (i.e. unsightly bathroom and empty dining room shots), Denise told me how to review her company on Unilocal (um this is my review not yours), somewhat unprofessional (i.e. talking bad about past employees, telling me how to review, etc), VERY VERY EXPENSIVE!!!
OVERALL: I’d recommend skipping on Denise and finding a friend with a good camera and a little editing experience.

Denise was amazing to work with and her prices are very fair. I did my research before choosing her, and you will not find a better deal especially with her quality of work! She also made my experience very comfortable. In no way am I a model or used to this type of work, but she was able to get me to relax and boost my confidence in what I was doing. Because of that, I ended up with some great pictures! Absolutely wonderful experience that I highly recommend!!! :-)

I had such a fun time doing the Boudoir photoshoot! Denise makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The one thing I liked most was she makes you look amazing and real. NO PHOTOSHOP which in the beginning I had my doubts. I thought for sure I would need to be photoshopped but nope she hides certain features that aren’t always the most flattering and makes your photos look great. I did the pictures for an anniversary present and my bf loved them. He loved so much he wants more. I would definitely recommend using artistic images.

Let me just say wow !! Never done anything like this and it was so out of my norm. :/​but these two where just amazing. From the beginning to the end I felt so comfortable .My makeup and hair where perfect, she did both lovely. My husband and I took pictures together and just had so much fun .We would recommend to anyone with pleasure and are defantly going to take more pictures in the future..

I have to say that you need to stay on top of things. It was hard for me to choose from all the pictures only 25 to edit and place in my final product. I was having a hard time using my phone on the app to select photos. It wouldn’t let me delete from cart. I emailed all the numbers of selected photos and she said it wAs more work for her but it was fine. Several months pass and checking on things she was not feeling well so I was in no rush as long as my photo album arrives before Xmas of this year… I finally get a text message that she edited the photos in cart on web instead of the ones I selected in email. She forgot what we had discussed! Then she forgot what album I chose. When I got upset about the photos she says to me she will do then again for more money!!! Really! I received my album and I have three similar poses… And ones I didn’t even want! I ask her if she can do the ones that weren’t done and she said. Choose 3 of them! I have invested $ 400 in USB purchase. I don’t even want to say how much for session and extra $ 50 for leather book! At the end I get photos that I didn’t choose and no cropping that I asked for or sepia or black and white that I wanted! I did invest in a long drive thinking that I will be happy but the glass of wine was supposed to come before the session Denise not after. I loved your photos but I mentioned how shy and uncomfortable I was… It showed in many photos!

I booked a session for my anniversary and I’m so glad I did! My calls and questions were answered promptly and my session went great! Everyone made me feel comfortable and you can tell because my pictures turned out great. The only downside is that the drive up to Ventura County from Orange County can be really long. Next time I would make it on a weekend and make a girls day out of it!

My experience with Denise was nothing short of amazing. She made me feel right at home and extremely comfortable. I am no model nor have I ever done a photo shoot before. She guided me through everything and my pictures turned out amazing! I drove 2 hours from orange county to ventura county and it was 100 percent worth it!

Fantastic experience, Denise made the whole experience very comfortable. Initially I was very nervous the makeup, hair and direction of Denise I felt like a supermodel. I would say the drive was a bit long out to Santa Paula, but it was a nice drive. It was very relaxing at her studio, driving down it felt like I was in the country with large tractors driving on the road. I love my pictures and I would do this again…

Getting photographed by Denise was an awesome experience! I was so nervous at first but Denise and her make-​up artist, Ashley made me feel right at home! I really got to know both of the girls which made the experience even better! Denise was so helpful through the entire process. She helped me feel very comfortable in my own body and made me actually feel sexy! I was mesmerized by every photo she took of me, I didn’t know I could be so beautiful and seductive! I got these pictures taken for my one year anniversary with my boyfriend and I know he will LOVE them. She is so professional and friendly. I had an amazing time during my shoot. There was not one time that I felt uncomfortable! I will definitely be having many more photo shoots with her in the future. I would recommend her to everyone!

So where should I start off… I called to see about their ocean view boudoir photography session in OC. The owner Denise did tell me that these sessions book really fast so it’s important to reserve my spot. She did say that if for Some reason she doesn’t have enough people booking she may cancel, but will give me well advanced notice if this happens I can always do it in her studio. I asked her if i can just possibly do the studio session on the day of if for some reason it gets canceled. She said that should not be a problem (since that time slot is reserved for me anyway). Ok great then I asked since the ocean view sessions are more expensive than the studio can i get a refund for whatever i dont use of i end up doing the studio session, she said of course. She wanted the money upfront, ok although reluctant I did give her my credit card info. Ok so I made this reservation 2 weeks before the session. Less than 2 days before the session she calls me at 8pm and said she didn’t have enough people sign up for the ocean view session so she has to cancel, my appointment was set at 5pm. I asked her well then can I still do the studio session at 5pm on the same day? I took off work that day and I have my hair and make-​up appointment already set up. She said no she can’t do it. What? I had already set my time and she cancels the whole thing why can’t I keep my time? She said she can’t do it that day can I come Saturday. No I can’t and wanted to look at my calendar. So I told her I’ll get back to her, I called back within 10min and she didn’t answer. I left her a message and asked to call me back and I would like her to just return my money back to my card. I just didn’t have the time in the next few months to take the photos. I even emailed her. No response. So I called her from my cell phone no answer so I called her from my work phone and she answers right away. I asked if she would refund my money she said no. Really what??? She said all sells are final and she will not refund me the money. I said ok how about I do a studio session and just get a couple of pictures, since this is for my fiancé and just refund me the amount that I don’t use. She said no, all sales are final and I can gift it to someone. Her tone was Very very rude and I was really trying to get answers but her attitude just made me really not want to do the session anymore. I told her you’re the one that canceled on me so why can’t I get my money back? She said because we have a all sales final
Policy and we have given you 2 day notice. Ok no she didn’t give me a full 2 day notice. She called 8pm when everything was closed. My work, hair and make-​up so I couldn’t even call until the next day to cancel if I needed to. Then she said I don’t want to get into this with you i will email you and don’t try to call your credit card company to get your money back you wont get it back. Really? I was furious at this point and I said well how do you think it will be if I get these photos done now with your tone? Ok remember it’s already uncomfortable taking these types of photos anyway. She said well you can gift it to someone. Wow I mean really, who would I sent here to her after her attitude. I say save your money because she is expensive and not worth fussing with the attitude

A few years ago I happened to mention to a friend that I wished I had taken Boudoir picture when I was in my 20 or 30’s. this was said in casual conversation. Well, he decided to purchase a package with Denise for me as a Christmas present back in 2011. I was mortified! I’m almost 61 years old! I procrastinated and postponed until Jan 2013 and realized that if I didn’t do the pictures it was a complete waste of my friends money… which seemed rude.
My problem (besides the fact that I felt way to old to do something like this) is that I’m just plain olé not photogenic! It’s really hard to get a decent picture of me and now we want it to be sexy? Tall order.
I was really afraid of trying to look good for the camera and having them all come out bad… that would feel like failure.
Anyway, I relaxed some while my makeup and hair was being done. We were visiting and I had brought a margarita to sip on to calm myself. I loved my hair and makeup but I’m thinking my eyes were a bit too made up for me. I’m not complaining, they were glamour shots and I don’t usually wear much makeup so I looked very different than I’m used to… but that was the point.
When it came time to start the photo shoot Denise was able to make me feel comfortable and took a few test shot which helped me relax. She pays attention to the smallest details. She even had the makeup artist (I’m really sorry I don’t remember her name) come in and clip a few stray hairs in my bangs. She was careful to make sure tags were not showing, sheets were strategically placed to cover what I wanted covered, she directed me on positions so my legs looked slimmer… you get the idea.
Within a half hour I was giggling, smiling, feeling sexy, and flirting with the camera.
I had hoped I’d be able to pick at least 10 good pictures for my album but let me tell you I picked 30 and my daughter and sister picked 50 or more! What an ego build.
Honestly, I think every woman over 50 should do this. It’s a wonderful way to build your self confidence. None of us look as good at 50 – 60 as we did at our 20 – 30’s but think of it… we expect to get good shots when we’re young… to get them when we’re old is the best gift ever.
Denise did a great job and I suggest you let yourself get out of your comfort zone and have a photo shoot with her.

About a month before my wedding, I decided to do a boudoir photo session, with the intention of giving my husband an album as a wedding gift on the day of. My thought behind it was to do it before I have kids, before any stretch marks! I didn’t know anyone else that has done it before, so I just did a search online and came across Denise’s website. Given my short time frame, Denise scheduled an appointment with me right away.
LOCATION:
I went to her new location in Ojai. On the information sheet she gives you prior to your appointment, it says not to bring anyone, so I went alone. I have to say I got a little scared when I first entered the premise because it was middle of nowhere, very country. You drive up a very narrow canyon to get to the house. It’s a cottage like cozy, well-​decorated home. With this type of photography, privacy is always good, which it offered.
MAKEUP:
Victoria, a former makeup artist for the playmates in the 90’s, did my makeup. In case you’re wondering, the package I selected came with makeup. She was amazing and very sweet! I was extremely happy with the makeup. Although she doesn’t do hair, she also teased and volumized my hair. She will turn you into a sexy bombshell.
BOUDOIR SESSION:
This was my first time doing a boudoir session. I had no idea how I was going to do, but both Denise and Victoria made me feel very much at ease. I was given unlimited glasses of champagne, and that definitely helped! (not sure if it comes with every shoot though) If you’re not sure about how to pose, not to worry. Denise will direct you every step of the way. She will tell you exactly where to put your hands, feet, etc. Basically in every position, you want all your parts to be perked, arched, and pointed and HOLD while she gets the best shot If you have any insecurity with certain parts of your body, not to worry either. Denise knows how to hide anything you don’t want showing and have you pose in ways that make you a sexy, powerful, beautiful woman that you are. We definitely went over the outfits and time limit and she did not charge me extra.
PREVIEW:
After your shoot, Denise shortly provides you with a preview of all your photos on a secured website that has a free 30 day trial. Monthly renewal fee is $ 39.95 if you choose to have access to them longer. I believe there is annual membership fee, but I don’t remember how much that is.
ALBUMS:
I ordered two albums: 10 page album (10 pictures) to give on the wedding day and the digital album (45 pictures), which is what I really wanted, but couldn’t be ordered in time for the wedding. Amazing quality! The creative design she put together for the digital album was very nice. Both books are leather bound with high quality prints. They come in a black gift box. There is a variety of cover you can choose from. In the digital album, you can even put a printed note for your special someone, which is what I did.
PRICING:
Price varies on the package you select. I do want to mention that buying the digital copy of your pictures is expensive. It doesn’t automatically come with unlike some of the other boudoir photographers. The price for one digital file ranges from $ 75 to $ 150. It does get cheaper if you get it in a bundle with other things. If you are interested in getting your digital files, just make sure to ask Denise about all pricing before hand.
MY HUSBAND’S REACTION — PRICELESS:
HE ABOSLUTELY LOVES MY PICTURES!!! I wasn’t sure how we would feel about the money I spent on them (several designer pairs of shoes at least!) which he would normally care, but he didn’t in the slightest. He said it was worth every penny! He even went out and got two safes — one that is fire proof that goes inside the other that’s theft proof to protect the albums LOL It wasn’t even about protecting our passports, birth certificates, and other valuables, but THE ALBUMS!
Now that reaction is exactly why I would recommend Denise! She is very good at what she does! She makes you feel very comfortable and gives you direction. Unless you’re a model, most of us need to be told how to pose for the best result. The pictures were stunning. I’m very pleased with how everything came out. As much as it was for my husband, but it’s also very much for myself. I’d imagine showing my kids/​grandkids years from now how sexy their mother/​grandmother looked. Now go get your boudoir session done by Denise!

My experience with Artistic Images was wonderful. Three weeks ago I called to set up a photo shoot for my girlfriend who is an aspiring fitness model and needed some professional pictures for her portfolio. The owner Denise and her entire crew delivered with amazing results and professionalism. My girlfriend said that from the moment she arrived at the studio that she was made perfectly comfortable by both the make up artist and the photographer and that they helped her to make the most out of her session. Having pictures taken in lingerie would seem to be an intimidating experience but my girlfriend could not stop raving about how much fun she had, which says a lot about the people at Artistic Images. On a personal note I think the pictures of my girl are amazing and incredibly sexy. To say I am grateful for their service is an understatement!!! Since I paid for the shoot I can say with no hesitation that booking my girlfriends shoot with Artistic Images was worth every penny… and then some!!!

Become a Supermodel for a Day
Let’s be honest, who hasn’t fantasized of being a Supermodel and this year I’ve decided to give myself the gift of stepping into the life of a Cindy Crawford for a day! What a great decision this turned out to be… Browsing through various Boudoir Photography studios/​sites it was hard to make a choice, what I liked about the Artistic Images website is that additionally to Boudoir Photography they offer a «Guess-​Style» Shoot. Denise the photographer asked me to come up to Ojai to do the shoot, hesitant at first I found myself driving up there on a Saturday Morning. The location couldn’t have been more stunning! The shoot actually took place at a private home. Denise and her make-​up /​hair artist couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. I immediately fell in love with the make-​up artist; if I had the money I would hire Victoria to become my personal make-​up artist! Victoria has worked with many Playmates in the past and if somebody can give you that sultry Guess-​Model, Playmate look it’s her… the actual shoot was the coolest thing ever, for a few hours I truly thought of being a model… Victoria and Denise gave me directions that were super easy to follow… those two girls are Pros and have the eye which poses are best for you… I had such a blast… that I want to do another shoot at the beach later this year… and maybe another one…. They got me hooked! Meanwhile I have received my pictures… Boy I look hot LOL… Let me tell you every woman, Girl should do such a shoot. It boosts your self-​confidence… Denise and Victoria can turn anybody into a model… forget about being too fat, too this… those two ladies will direct you into model heaven…

I walked in to the Hilton ocean view hotel in Huntington beach with a bag full of bras, pantys and heels not knowing what to expect, but I was completely blown away! I was escorted to the top floor into the most beautiful, HUGE catalina suite by Victoria, the makeup artist where I met Denise. These ladies made me feel so comfortable and confident, something that I was not expecting having never done a boudoir shoot. I had a blast! It was so much fun and I felt like a real Victorias Secret model. Denise was very professional and I felt like she was doing all the work for me. Can’t wait to see the pictures, hope my fiancé likes his wedding present… =)

I came here 6 years ago to have to pictures taken and I couldn’t have been more disappointed. First all, I had to battle horrendous traffic getting there (there had been an accident on the 405 frwy that morning) and I called her to say I might be a few minutes late. She told me «It’s too bad but I have an another appointment right after you so I’ll have to cut down your time». It really wasn’t what she said. it was her TONE. She was completely rude and sounded mad about it… not exactly the best 1^st impression when you’re going to be getting photographed with little to no clothes on! So you can imagine my shock when I pull up to her studio and I find out SHE’S STILL NOT THERE! Are you kidding me? You were rude and ticked off when I mentioned I’d be a few minutes late (which was beyond my control) only to find out she wasn’t there herself?! What nerve. By the time I got there, I was so stressed out from the traffic and from thinking she was there at the studio, mad and waiting for me that it totally ruined my vibe. I honestly didn’t even want to go through with the pictures after that but she had insisted on a 100% payment before your appointment so I was stuck. What else could I do at that point? Have you tried smiling and trying to act like you’re relaxed and happy when you think someone’s mad at you? It only got worse. I had paid for a package that included having my make-​up professionally done and you can imagine my shock when she started on my make-​up… she NEVER mentioned she’d be the one doing my makeup when I booked it. She had made it seem like a makeup artist would be coming in… When I asked her if she was actually a makeup artist, she said she was used to doing makeup all the time. What does that even mean? Used to doing makeup all the time? So am I! I’m used to doing my own make-​up all the time… doesn’t mean I’d consider myself a professional nor does it mean I’d try charging people passing myself off as one! At the point, I just went along with the program and let her go ahead with my makeup… When she finally mentioned she was done and told me to look in the mirror… I wanted to cry. I looked like a washed-​up, reformed gangster chick! Lol. I laugh now… but I was MORTIFIED and literally wanted to cry. The makeup was horrendous!!! I cringe when I remember the penciled in Eyebrows! If I would’ve known… I would’ve done my own makeup! When I whipped out my little makeup pouch I had in my purse (Thank God I had it with me!!) she got really upset and insulted (mind you… this is the person that’s going to be taking my pictures!!). She told me the makeup didn’t even matter, all that mattered where the pictures (Oh yeah, then why offer makeup and charge if it didn’t matter?). In all honesty, her photography skills were Ok and in the end, I was satisfied with the pictures but only after enough time had passed that I was able to get over how horrible my experience was at her hands and not remember it each time I looked at the pictures. If you’re going to call yourself a Boudoir Photographer, the 1^st rule should be that you make the girl feel comfortable so she can photograph well (it’s already uncomfortable as it is). Since this terrible experience, I was able to find another female photographer that’s really amazing and an incredible talent (which only makes me realize just exactly how BAD Artistic Images really was). The best part? She actually had the nerve to call me after my photographs came back to say that my pictures had come out far better than she expected and asked if she could use them for her website. Umm… EXCUSE ME? LMAO. Hell to the no. If you’re considering going here… you’re better off to have your friend drop you off at the mall in your underwear and have her pick you up 20 minutes later, go back home and ask her to take your pictures. The expression you’ll have on your face after that ordeal will pretty much replicate my experience here. Plus… it’ll be WAY CHEAPER. LOL. Save your money… go elsewhere.
UPDATE: I have to say the owner reached out to try to work something out but I can assure you it’s only because people can read about my experience and because it MIGHT affect her business. If I felt her treatment might have been a «misinterpretation» I wouldn’t have posted this review. Let’s be serious though… after this experience, would YOU go back? Of course not. Can you imagine the tension and hostility? In lingerie? Umm… No thank you. Sometimes 1^st impressions are the ONLY impressions with good reason.
