Midnight Hour Moving

We had a short turnaround for our move. Midnight Hour Moving exceeded all our expectations. We were kept apprised of arrivals. We used both packing and moving services. Staff was on time and so helpful. Staff was professional, courteous and efficient. Work was top quality. Cost was very reasonable. Will definitely use again and will recommend to others.

Midnight hour was recommended to me by a friend who has used them a few times. The movers showed up on time, they were quick and friendly. Not only was my new place on the third floor (no elevators) but it was pouring down rain the entire move. They did not complain once and were so fast! I will definitely use them again.

I just used midnight movers, they we’re super respectful. The guys had their work cut out for them because our apartment was an extremely difficult 2^nd story that wrapped around. They showed concern for our stuff and didn’t attempt to drag out the time. I would recommend midnight movers plus their price is unbeatable for the service.

UPDATE: I ended up using Midnight again. I did not expect to be moving again so quickly and got 4 guys and 2 trucks this time.
I was in a 3^rd floor apartment and they had everything out in under 2 hours.
All four guys were quick and so very polite.

They were 15 minutes early, polite, respectful and engaging. They were effecient with their time and were in and out in less than 2 hours! It was worth every penny!

If there were an option to choose 0 stars, I would have done so. I recently moved into my new apartment and I thought everything went well. However, that was not the case. I gave specific instructions on handling the box with my dishes and asked that they please be careful. They seemed to have ignored my request. Not only was the box flipped upside down, but once I opened the box nearly all of my dishes were broken. I will not use or recommend their services in the future. Take it from me, go with another moving service. I was very unsatisfied due to their disregard for my items that can never be replaced.

I’ve used this company twice to move. The 1^st time was fast and the 2 guys took great care of my things. 2^nd time… not so much. It was a year ago but I can honestly say that it still upsets me. They showed up at least an hour after the latest time listed, were tired, and took poor care of my items. I knew they were tired so I helped them load and unload. Even stopped at a gas station to buy them tea/​pop. It didn’t matter. When they left, I had a scratched couch, ripped box spring, chipped dresser, and a damaged recliner. I did work with the owner and he gave me no trouble on my claim and refund for the damage which I appreciated. He said that they get bad movers sometimes which I understand but I’ve moved a lot in my life. Growing up, we moved at least once a year. Never have I had damage like what they did and while I was helping them too. I can’t say I would ever use them again. I am actually moving in the next month which prompted me to write this review. I want people to be aware that this isn’t all 5 stars. If you hire them, do the 1^st shift. After that is a crap shoot.

These guys are AWESOME they were on time very courteous and knowledgeable of their craft. I will most definitely use them again as well as refer them to all my friends and family. They were very friendly very honest hard-​working young men who were very polite I can’t say enough about them and their service. If you’re looking for a great moving company these guys are definitely the best. I give them five stars hands-​down !

We contacted Midnight Hour Moving after having issues with another company. They were able to schedule and move us within the week, and were prompt and professional throughout the entire process. The office coordinator called and emailed numerous times to verify dates & times. They showed up within the given window and moved our 2 bedroom apartment in exactly 4 hours during the hottest month of the year. The even accommodated having to move a fridge unexpectedly!
The pricing was clear and the movers were conscientious with their time, and even logged the move as 4 hours precisely when they could counted the 6 extra minutes and charged us for another quarter hour.
Will definitely use them again, and recommend them to friends and family.

We used MHM to move from a storage shed to a second floor apartment unit. We had Emmanuel and Daryl move things and they were great. We met the guys at 11:45 (we had a 9 – 12 window but the office kept us updated). The scheduling and charges were very clear and the office called multiple times to confirm everything and also check on how the actual move was. The guys continually worked throughout their time even with it being the hottest part of the day/​year and a second floor.
I would 100% use them again and 100% request Emmanuel!

I have now used Midnight Hour Moving twice. Both experiences have been extremely positive. Very professional, hard working movers that take care of your stuff. Very affordable for the service they deliver. I highly recommend and will be using them again myself.

I’ve used Midnight Hour Moving for three moves. The latest was just this past week on 7÷2÷15. They have always been of the most professional service, prompt, courteous, and on-​time. They handle everything with care and work quickly and efficiently. I have in the past, and will continue to do so in the future, refer them out to friends, and use them for any future needs.

Awesome job! First time using moving company and they did an awesome job. We had about 25 boxes, couch, washer and dryer, bookcases, desk, table, etc. Two men and they finished it in 2hours. Quick and efficient!

Kurt && Chas did an amazing job. They took extra care of everything. Lots of shrink wrapping and padding. Made sure to check that nothing was left behind. Put everything exactly where I wanted it. They arrived on time and were very nice and hardworking. I want to thank everyone at Midnight hour moving it is the best company you could ever find for your move. The office staff is excellent and very informative and helpful. Very quick as well. I plan to use midnight hour moving for my moves forever! I can’t thank yall enough!

I have used midnight hour moving 7 or 8 times as they are setup to move me when I go through
. They are always on time and very quick and professional!
This move was the best I have had to-​date. There were two men that showed up before my schedule move (which is always nice!) and moved me in just under 2.5 hours. The deal with Umovefree is you get 2.5 hrs of move for free and then the moving company starts charging per 15 mins. At first I was concerned about making the move in under 2.5 hrs but my movers did it with 15 mins to spare!
The best part… of all the times I have moved, no one has EVER wrapped up my leather couch. My movers spent the time to pad it up and wrap it so that as they moved it, it did not get damaged. I was shocked and completely impressed!
On top of everything else, both men were very friendly. They chatted while they did their job, answered questions and remained very professional.
I highly recommend Mightnight Hour Moving. If you are one of the lucky ones, you might get the two movers that moved me!

I used this company 2 move me yesterday. Totally amazing!!! They were efficient, even came a little before my scheduled time to avoid tying up my whole day. Zach and Brandon were very professional!!! I would definitely recommend this company!!!

UNPROFESSIONAL. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This company has a complete disregard for personal items, as well as general customer service. To summarize, my antique dresser was damaged in the move. I cautioned the movers to be mindful of the removable, marble slab inserts; of course, one fell out and shattered. While these things happen, I’m appalled by the way Kika, co-​owner, has «handled» the claim, payout, etc. She is entirely disrespectful, demeaning, and clearly unconcerned with potential repeat business. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to not utilize this moving service! They do partner with UMoveFree (and I have advised UMoveFree to reconsider their affiliation), so be aware.

This company was moving another resident in my apartment complex, not me. My complaint is their blatant disregard for the other residents in the building, and their bad attitude towards me. They clearly don’t care about doing their job properly or about anyone but themselves.
My complex has 4 elevators, 2 of which are for residents, 2 of which are for freight. I was waiting with the dog to take him down at one of the non-​freight elevators around 7:30 am. I hit the button and waited for a long time for the elevator to arrive. When it finally did, it was packed floor to ceiling with boxes, furniture, and 2 movers. No room for me. They said they’d unload real quick, hit the close door button, and were gone. I waited for it to return and finally got the dog downstairs.
When I got there, I informed them that the elevator they were using was not rated for freight, and using it for such breaks it so the residents can’t use it. I pointed out the freight elevators. They were short with me, and didn’t say much except that they were done.
When I came back around with the dog, I stopped to read the side of their truck. When they noticed this, the excuses began. They told me they «didn’t have that much stuff» to move, which indicates that they knew exactly what they were doing, and that it was rude and crappy; they just didn’t care. Besides, nearly every apartment building which has elevators has a separate elevator for freight. They know this. They just have no interest in doing their job properly, which means they likely don’t give a crap about people’s stuff.
Don’t trust it. I sure as hell won’t ever use these clowns.
POST-​RESPONSE EDIT: Marcus says that reserving elevators can be challenging, and that they’re blessed that I won’t use them based on one encounter with a single one of their teams, and that the dog and I «had to wait a few moments». Wow, wow, wow. Should have expected such a sneery, ill-​tempered pile of excuses based on all the other sneery, ill-​tempered responses to the other reviews I read before I posted this one.
Also, I note that «someone» posted a 5-​star review, from a move that happened 3 months ago, within hours of me posting a 1-​star review, when there had not been other reviews in many weeks.

Moving on …
It’s Sunday, at 7 am. NO ONE ELSE in the complex is moving on Sunday, at 7 am. No one was anywhere near the freight elevators, and there certainly would not have been a reservation conflict. Again, my original point: these guys didn’t check that they were uaing the right elevators; they didn’t give a crap. The elevator they used was the most convenient for them, and screw everyone else. Charming attitude in a service-​oriented business.
Add to that the fact that they feel it appropriate to slam every customer/​potential customer who doesn’t think they fart rainbows, and, I say again … Are these the people you want handling thousands of dollars of your hard-​won furnishings? They insult everyone, they don’t pay claims for damage they create, they assume they know what their customers do and don’t do when they’re not around, they hyperbolize (the comment about «1,000 cats had been at your headboard, we didn’t do it») … Again, blatant disregard for everyone but themselves.
The dog and I waited «a few moments»? Try the better part of 15 minutes. Way to minimize my situation.
As a sidenote, I love the bit where Marcus whines about the fact that a guy who gave a bad review after having previously had a good experience with his company. «Why didn’t you review us when you liked us? Waaaaah!» As though that’s how the world works. Such naïveté.
