Lodge and TIKI Treehouse

The Norris Lodge and Tiki Tree house is a very special and unique place to stay. We chose it from AirBnB for a place to sleep between hiking and exploring the Idyllwild area. The problem was, we didn’t want to leave! The small and cozy lodge is backed up to a beautiful forest area with squirrels, birds and other cute critters. The Lodge is super cute, with an amazing «lodge» feel, with all the amenities needed for comfort. The queen size bed was ultra comfy. The Tiki Tree House is amazing! There are many small areas to sit for drinking coffee (as we did), meditate, or read a book– so tranquil, secluded and quiet. There is neat little walking trail that takes you around the structure ann to these little places of refuge… so cool! There’s also a swing and apple trees, which had growing apples when we were there. But the best part is the actual tiki hut! It is packed with awesome retro tiki décor, has tiki music available and is the perfect romantic place to hang out with your gal! We brought back take out food and ate within the tiki and then enjoyed some drinks. The lighting was superb and the whole feel took us away to a Hawaiian dreamland… so relaxing. We were disappointed we only stayed 2 nights, to be able to pack in all we wanted to do… including more tiki and lodge time. Our hosts, M&M, were so gracious and and helpful… communicating to us leading up to our stay and showing us the ropes when we arrived. After that, we were completely left alone with privacy, but knew they were available anytime if we needed them. We are definitely coming back and hope to make this a regular adventure and de-​stressing stop often.
