Good food, great beer selection! The waiters and bartenders were really friendly! Minus one star only because even if you move away from the live-stage, you get blasted with music from overhead speakers, which makes communication a little difficult(it was live music, so I don’t know what the situation is like on ‘regular’ days). Overall, awesome place and right next to Bankers Life Fieldhouse!

Sat on the patio for about 15 minutes and watched the waitress walk by us several times without acknowledging us or offering menus. This was not a busy day at all, we were one of three tables in the whole house. Another table came in, sat next to us and got service immediately so we decided to take our money elsewhere. Horrible experience, will not be returning. Try your luck at some of the better establishments that are(literally) right next door.

I came here for a lunch meeting and wasn’t impressed. Now that I’m reading about it on Unilocal,it’s clear it is a bar/music venue that happens to serve food, rather than a restaurant that happens to have live music. Picture a high-ceiling warehouse/garage space with a retro feel and LOTS of space between tables — it’s clear this is a place to party and listen to music or watch the big game. I can just imagine big crowds of sweaty, drunk people. Service was mediocre and the menu was limited. I got the basic chicken + jack quesadilla that came with chips/sour cream/salsa. I could’ve made it at home — nothing special. I don’t see myself making a beeline to Tin Roof anytime soon.

If you want to eat good food and have a good time conversing with friends, this is not the place for you. If you want to pound fireball shots, get PBR on the cheap, and listen/dance to mediocre bands but be too drunk to care… this place is all you.

Tin Roof — Since when do you think that $ 10 cover is where it’s at? I do not think so. I used to love Tin because it was a fun place to kick the night off with a drink and some fun music… I’ll even pay $ 5 for that, but $ 10…come on. It really is a shame because I think the bartenders here are some of the nicest around, and it’s always easy to walk right up and grab your beer and go. It’s t

I’m not sure how accurate my gauge is of this place since I’ve only been there for packed WTTS shows. But as far as live music venues go I’m not a big fan. It might be because the events I’ve gone to are so crowded but the stage set up is horrible.(It doesn’t help that I’m short.) I can never see a thing. Overall the set up feels a bit awkward. I haven’t had a chance to sample much of the menu but they have some good choices. We got the dip sampler(three huge bowls of dip and a regular sized basket of chips) — not worth $ 15. But the rest of the prices were in line with downtown bar fare. The service was a bit slow(but it was busy so that’s acceptable), the staff was really nice. Drinks were reasonably priced and they seem to have tons of specials. I definitely appreciate places that have live music and will have to go when I can maybe get a table and actually see the band. Overall I can’t put my finger on what it is exactly I don’t like(maybe it feels like it’s trying too hard, I’m more of a pub – dare I say dive – fan). But if you’re in the area looking for some music and a drink I’d definitely recommend stopping in.

I came here on a Friday night after a Pacers game. The place was full and the live band was great! I found it easy to grab a drink and talk with friends. On a busy night it was difficult to grab a spot to sit but there are plenty of spaces to stand. This is a great place for the mid-twenty crowd who’s looking to get away from the stuffy upscale bars and listen to some fun music.

I come here first and foremost for Bingo on Tuesday. This is a fun activity with cool prizes such as concert tickets or cd packs, stuff like that. And various numbers have specific call outs… such as 31 is followed by the entire bar yelling: Boom Baby… Miller time… I generally drink Sun King which they serve here. I had their chips and queso which is not bad at all.

I went to the pacers game with a friend on NYE and since Tin Roof was so close to Bankers, we decided to head that way to ring in the new year! I’m so glad we did! All the tables were taken but we were quickly served at the bar. You could tell everyone who was working was having a blast together and that made the experience that much more enjoyable. We felt comfortable and welcomed and the masquerade theme for the night was a fun touch! The live music made it even better! Tin Roof is currently my go-to place for a great night out!

This bar is one of my favorites in Indy. It’s not so much the food or drinks that stand out to me but what I love about this place is that on a not so busy day, you can post up at the bar and chat with friends in a super relaxed environment. The employees are all pretty chill and make you feel welcome. Tim Roof is always good for live music on the weekends which can sometimes be hard to find elsewhere in the city. I love that they support local musicians and bands that are trying to find a part of the limelight.

On a very not-busy Saturday evening, it took about 5 minutes for either bartender to even acknowledge that we sat down. At that point, we each just ordered & drank a beer, paid, and left. I was going to get some bar food and stay longer, but the lack of hospitality kind of ruined it.

Good food, great extras(I.e. bingo & bands)! Food is typical bar food — I only had the guacamole and chips, but I would be hesitant to dive even further in the menu(not bad but not great). Anyways, the venue itself is awesome so definitely worth at least a stop in to say you’ve been around some places in downtown Indy.

This is a great bar. Doesn’t get too packed until about 10 p.m. but they have great live music. I always have a good time at Tin Roof!

Having what I think is the most frustrating interaction I have ever had with a bartender has spurred me to come back and update my review, but there are also a few things that have changed my opinion both for better and worse on different parts of their business. I already said they have below average service in my last review, but that belief has even gotten stronger thanks to one of their female bartenders working this past Friday night. They had a great band playing, which is definitely their strong suit. They also had a pretty good beer special considering they have live music and no cover. They had signs all over the bar stating that their special was $ 316oz cans of Bud Light, Miller Light, or PBR. So when I got to the bar and the bartender asked what I wanted, I responded«Bud Light.» A minute later the bartender gave me 12 oz glass bottle of Bud Light and told me it would be $ 3.50. When I asked about the special, she just proceeded to tell me that their bottles were $ 3.50. When I then asked why I ended up with a 12 oz bottle for $ 3.50 instead of a 16 oz can of the exact same beer for $ 3 that was advertised all over the bar, she then told me that if I wanted the special then I should have asked for a can. There are a few ways this could have played out, and she picked the exact wrong path to follow. I get it if you are busy and had a brain fart and just grabbed a bottle accidentally, but you could have said that and just got me the correct one. You could have apologized for completely ignoring the obvious thing that any logical human being would have done in giving their customer the special, and gotten me a new beer. Instead, you argued that it was my fault and made me drink my smaller more expensive beer until I came back and specifically asked for a can the next time. This was the dumbest thing I have ever heard anybody in the service industry do, and it makes me think that there is a likely chance this order came from the manager because I can’t imagine a bartender would take it upon themselves to try to screw the customer out of their order to make the bar a little extra money, especially since their tips are obviously going to go down significantly if they do this crappy move to everyone. Aside from their bad service, their menu is disappointing. They changed it a while back, and the limited numbers of options is nothing close to what they used to offer. I loved their sandwich options, but there are almost none left on the menu, and definitely nothing else I would come in here to get. Tin Roof is still a good place to hear live music, and it is a fun gathering place before major sporting events because it draws in all the crowds going to the same thing, but you will never find me in here for any other reason than that.

Not extremely fancy here, but the crowd makes it interesting. The ribs looked awesome and I am sure all the food is top shelf. Seems like I would like to come back on a warmer night and sit outside. I had a local beer and enjoyed hanging out here for awhile before the pacer game.

One of my favorite bars in downtown Indy. Here’s why: No cover. Fun live bands on the weekends that play a variety of songs. You might hear Darius Rucker, you might hear Blink 182. You never know. Their long islands are 100% alcohol, no mixer.(This is my own personal theory and has yet to be confirmed.) Good drink specials — especially on PBR. My friends and I love the berry pickers too. Don’t know what’s in them, but we love them. I’ve never had the food here but I can imagine some of it has to be decent enough for bar food. Fun place to go after a Pacers game — the later it gets the more alive it is.

I love a bar where I can sit, listen to good music, drink/eat and enjoy time with my friends – Tin Roof was perfect for that! The had delicious bar food(that came out hot), good live music(starting at 10), and a relaxing atmosphere. If you’re more of a a bar fly, this would be a good«first bar of the night» type of place. My friends love going to play bingo there. I’m pretty sure bingo is on Tuesdays.

Man. I really, really, REALLY want to like this place a lot. It just wasn’t in the cards. The service was OKONCE we got served, however, it took over 20 minutes for a waitress to even acknowledge us. Once she did, service was not stellar, but OK. The food seemed bland and unseasoned, however the chips and salsa were above average. There is so much potential here… I hope they can get their act together.

I’m trying, I’m trying really hard to put my finger on why it is this place just doesn’t seem to do it for me — maybe it’s the general feel that somewhat resembles those college-y type bars with excessive lights and décor that go in no direction or maybe it was that the food didn’t make me jump out of my pants. I have a hard time spending say $ 10 on junk-esque food I can make at home. Several of my close friends like to come here for karaōke or the live entertainment. It’d probably help my case if, I, myself, were a karaōke enthusiast(watching, not performing, is my specialty). I’m certain that thanks to my friends I’ll be back but I probably won’t be cracking open the food menu.
