Purchased a home and needed 11 locks re-​keyed. Called Joe and he was out the next day. He completed the job quickly, was reasonably priced, and a super nice guy to talk to… He even gave us some home security tips. Joe is one of those guys that has a passion for his trade, and it shows!

Joe helped me unlock some file cabinets today. Scheduled time was between 10:30am and 11 am and he showed up at exactly at 10:30 am sharp and finished his work in about 10 minutes. Very professional, fast, and friendly. I would recommend Joe to anyone I know that needs some work done by a locksmith.

I don’t know much about locks I don’t know if I got a good deal or not but what I do know is I needed someone to come out the next day to rekey 6 locks and replace 2 other locks so I found him on Unilocal and he came @ 8:03 am — did the work under an hour, was easy to talk to and overall a pleasant person.
When it was all said and done it was $ 60 service call, $ 18 to rekey each lock and $ 25 each to replace the other 2 locks. I don’t know if that’s a good deal but it sounds reasonable to me and his work seems quality and he has a good eye for details.
I would use him again and recommend him.

We recently bought a home in Laguna Niguel and needed the locks to be rekeyed.
I contacted a nearby locksmith and got a quote over the phone that it will be $ 25/​per lock to rekey. The service technician came and told me it will cost $ 79 for the front door, $ 129 for the back door since the locks were of different make, $ 49 for the garage door and $ 69 for the side door. I told him his quote is much higher than what was quoted so I’m not going to have anything done today. He asked me how much I wanted to pay to which I responded what was quoted over the phone — $ 25/​per lock. He said he can’t do that so I need to pay him $ 25 for the service call. I refused to pay him and asked him to leave.
Later that evening I looked on Unilocal and came across Joe Joe’s excellent ratings. I called the following morning and Joe gave me his pricing. He said he was available between 1−3pm and for me to text him my address. He quickly responded to confirm that he will be at my home that afternoon. He showed up at 1pm with a smile. He looked at all the locks and kept the pricing he quoted me over the phone without any up charge. He was done within ½ hr and even made a couple of extra keys for me at no additional costs. If that wasn’t enough, he fixed a lock where the spring was broken and we couldn’t open from the inside of the house to the garage… at no additional costs.
The next day, the same lock he had fixed at no additional costs was giving me problems again. I texted him and he said he’ll come by to take a look. I asked him for his service fee to which he quickly responded «no additional costs». He drove down from Irvine even though he didn’t have any work in the area. He did all this extra work and went out of his way and the whole time he had a smile on his face. Talk about excellent service and going above and beyond. I can’t thank Joe enough for his help and will definitely call him again if we ever need any key services.

Joe just finished tackling the challenging task of replacing the old double cylinder lock set in our front gate. This was no easy task as the old one was completely rusted solid due to its exposure to the elements over the years. It had to be drilled and chiseled out. Additionally, our custom made gate was not of normal configuration, so Joe had to modify the new lock set to fit properly.
Joe did a terrific job! It required 2 visits and much patience. One of the most common complaints I ran across when researching locksmiths was pricing, Time and again I would read about how the actual price charged «at the door» was much higher than what had been quoted. Now I fully understand how once into a job the locksmith might run into a complication not anticipated … raising the price. This absolutely was the case with my job. But Joe was extremely professional, and fully explained the issues. The final price was not only reasonable … it was actually surprisingly generous!
I only have one complaint with Joe. He is just too darn nice! My wife and I will not only use him again … but recommend him to everyone we know. He is professional, punctual, and communicates well … he is the very best!

Joe Joe was on time, fast, efficient and seemed to be priced fair although I didn’t shop his rates due to the killer Unilocal reviews.

Joe arrived right on time again and quickly installed electronic lock on my door and keyed everything at a very reasonable price I highly recommend.

Someone stole my purse at the Santa Ana mall yesterday, but I was able to recover my house keys. I didn’t want to take any chances so I looked up locksmiths on Unilocal.Joe Joe’s had the most positive reviews in my area so I called him today around 10a, crossing my fingers that Unilocal wouldn’t lead me astray.
No worries here! Joe is as reliable as they get.
He quoted me a time of 3−5p, but was able to come to my house at 2:30p. He has an iPhone so that worked well for me to be able to iMessage him with pics of my door and iron gate that I wanted to rekey.
As I was a victim of theft yesterday, I wasn’t the most trusting customer. Joe did his work and ended up going above and beyond to make me feel safe. He’s a cool guy! I’ll recommend him to anyone I know but most importantly, he will have my business from now on!

Joe came out to rekey 3 locks at my new house on time and he did a wonderful job. He is efficient, knowledgable and fast. He was in and out within 30 minutes. His price is reasonable to me but I don’t mind paying more for home security.

Had to have a key for my husband at work copied and a few house keys made up. Took two failed attempts at local «mail outlets» to make totally useless house keys before giving up and calling on Joe Joes to come with his mobile service. Told him we’d be available at home by 6:30, and he showed up at 6:40 pm. If that isn’t punctual, I don’t know what is. The three house keys and one company key were completed in minutes, and amazing– they all worked! He’s got the skill and the personality to go with it! Courteous, fast service, and a good job to make it perfect! What more can anyone ask for? Joe Joes, your the best! Thank you for your help!

Joe is AWESOME! I bought some filing cabinets on craigslist and he helped me rekey all my filing cabinets so that I have one key! In addition, he arrived on time, was quick with the rekeying, did a great job with the rekeying and is very reasonable with his prices. He definitely is very skilled and talented at this!
I will definitely use Joe again! Highly recommend!!!

Impressive work. Here’s why:
1. Actually answers his phone without letting it ring too long
2. Punctual — this is prob the first time I never had to wait for service; he arrived about 15 min before I did but notified me saying he could arrive early
3. Didn’t need extra parts, he used all I had and put it all together quickly; the lock still stuck, it was a sliding glass door and they dont usually make locks for them anymore because it is a bad design but he made two types of keys to get it to work.
4. I said I only needed 2 spares but he gave me a million extras
5. Made the nightmare of the real estate agent who refuse to care to get the seller to fix the lock disappear; I can finally enter my own home from the back entrance like I imagined from the beginning!
