We specialize in both studio and outdoor portraits of families, children, engaged couples, and high school seniors at any location in Southern California. This may be the beach, the mountains, a famous landmark, a vacation home or your own home… the list goes on. No matter what the assignment, we value each client through personal service and a high quality product.

A good quality portrait is much more than putting one or more people into a pose and clicking the shutter button. Good portraits are the product of experience and continued training in posing, lighting and camera techniques. Beyond hiring a photographer with the experience and skills to capture a beautiful image, customer service and a quality product are very important. We work with one client at a time, and delivers a thoughtful, artful product.

History

Established in 2008.

True Image Studio was founded on April 1^st, 2008 by Doug Catiller. True Image Studio is a family portrait and commercial photography studio, offering portraits in-​studio and on-​location.

True Image Studio’s tag line, «You are more than a photo… you are a work of art» is based on Doug’s belief that all people have a unique human dignity and beauty. Doug’s mission is to capture each person’s unique beauty (their «True Image») in his portraits.

Business Owner

Doug Catiller spent over 20 years working in the Information Technology field, all the while maintaining his true passion for photography. Between 2000 and 2008, he did photographic assignments including small portraits, Church events and weddings for family and friends. Late in 2005, Doug began photographing production photos for The Chance Theater in Anaheim Hills. Since then, Doug has been the resident photographer for The Chance Theater in Anaheim Hills, and his photos are regularly published in The Orange County Register, OC Weekly and many other local periodicals. Doug started True Image Studio in 2008 and specializes in family photography in his Irvine based portrait studio. Doug is a member of Professional Photographers of America and Professional Photographers of California.
