Jamaica Plain House of Pizza

This place is my go to for pizza in the JP area. Quick and great service. They don’t skimp on the toppings so if you’re ordering the «Meat Lovers» or the «JP Special» you’re going to get exactly what you asked for.

This place was not only late with my food charged me almost 15 dollars for a small chicken cutlet small chips and a soda n it was disgusting! Never again!

You can’t go wrong with JP House. The burger basket or buffalo chicken sub are definite favorites when there’s a hankering for takeout. And the staff behind the counter are incredibly nice. Worth every star.

This is my GO TO pizza delivery joint. Their Greek salads and the dressing is ON point! And the calzones are made to order and are cheesy, crispy and packed with flavor — the marinara sauce that comes with it is delicious!!!

Greatest pizza on the block!
It’s been years since I’ve had a slice and i still remember it fondly.
The joint is cute, the staff super friendly and the pizzas delicious (I’m italian and it takes a LOOOT to impress me as far as italian food/​pizza is concerned).
Even the fact that the oil droops down your arm while eating the pizza. it is funny because you are too busy savoring the pizza to even notice.
I just would recommend to ANYONE in the area.

Fresh salads, friendly service, and the best tuna in Boston (IMO) are why this is always my #1 stop when I need a good, quick meal, Always reliable, always good.

Love this place! My designated go to place when I’m craving pizza. It’s greek style with a light and airy crust. Just how I like it. I live right by here so it’s very convenient/​dangerous haha. I also like their mozzarella sticks and fries. They’re always hot and crispy on the outside. Prices are very reasonable and portions are on the larger side.

Totally reasonable old-​school greek-​style pizza place. Nothing fancy, but good food at a reasonable price. I’ve had good experiences with delivery and pick-​up (the people who work the counter are very friendly). I personally love the zesty feta pizza (with bacon and banana peppers.

This is me and my boyfriends go-​to pizza place in JP. They have good pizza, good subs, and are very consistent. Their homemade greek dressing is AMAZING and I would definitely recommend giving it a shot with their greek salad (or on your pizza crust) – it’s really what keeps us coming back. The family that runs the place are all really nice and I love that it’s a local family owned business.

Good greek-​style pizza at a reasonable price. Definitely the best bang for your buck pizza-​wise in JP. Service is always friendly and quick!

This place typically has pretty good subs and pizza. However, I would avoid ordering for delivery. Every time I have, it has come at least an hour and a half later if not longer… And they promise to get it to you in 30 – 40 minutes. The part that makes that bad is that the fries and sub are always soggy by the time they get to me. The people are super nice in the shop, but the delivery guy, not so much.

Sandwiches are very good. I recommend picking up your food. Call for delivery on Monday and it will get there on Wednesday. If you are lucky.

Very good Greek pizza. This isn’t fancy, artisanal pizza, but the quality of their ingredients sets them apart from your average pizza joint. I’ve never been disappointed.
Great Greek salads and gyros, too. Their homemade Greek dressing is delicious!
Delivery is always on point, too! Overall, best pizza place in JP.

The staff is friendly and speedy and the pizza is great. Obviously not gourmet specialty pizza but if you want a greasy, cheesy slice this place is perfect! I just got a basic large cheese and pepperoni pie and it was delicious.

Star #1: Quick, friendly service! A smile goes a long way.
Star #2: Decent pizza! Not the best I have ever had but it does just fine for those sudden cravings. Thin pizza with a thick crust and a satisfactory amount of toppings. And by «toppings,» I meant «pineapple.» Just pineapple.
Star #3: Jalapeño poppers! So cheesy and so poppingly addictive. Go get some!

Good food, great prices. I wish I knew the owner’s name, because he’s one of the nicest restauranteurs I’ve encountered. I lived around the corner for three years and frequented JP House of Pizza. I’d pickup the ziti or pizza on my way home from evening grad classes and he’d always chat me up. «How are you, my friend?» was his standard greeting. The food was always fresh and delicious. It is what it is and the place is hardly a deluxe eatery, but for a corner pizza joint you can’t do any better. Stop by if you’re in the area, you won’t regret it.

The people are friendly, as many preceding reviews confirm. The pizza is a pretty thick crust Mediterranean style. It is relatively greasy but has a nice sauce and no big bubbles or imperfections.
I was dissatisfied when they charged me extra for some dipping sauce. I would hope that they would want to provide this as a method of customer satisfaction.
The location is good also, a short walk from Jamaica Pond, making it a nice addition to a walk around JP.

MENU PRICES ONLINE ARE OUT OF DATE.
My friends and I ordered from here tonight (I, for the first time). We checked out the menu online and placed an order by phone for delivery. They were faster than expected with their delivery (a plus), but the cost of the food was $ 10+ more expensive than the total I came up with from their online menu prices.
The delivery driver let me use his phone to talk to a manager (?) back at the restaurant. The man was friendly at first, but then completely unsympathetic and rude to my frustration at the price difference. His excuse was that there is also tax, and a delivery charge. I told him there was no delivery charge listed online, and was never told on the phone when placing my order that there would be a charge. His response: «The website didn’t say ‘No delivery charge’!» The phone didn’t get good service and I was greeted with him hollering «Hello?! Hello?! There are people waiting on the line, hurry up» His tone continued to be short and angry. I told him I wasn’t happy about the order, and he said if I didn’t like the prices I didn’t have to have the food. I sent the order back.
Horrible customer service. And to top it off, their delivery drivers’ van left a huge puddle of transmission fluid in our driveway. Awesome.
So, all in all, I can’t comment on the food at all but their service was a huge let down. Delivery driver was amiable, management was tremendously rude.
