If the pumpkin chai latte is suppose to taste like this, then please discontinue. Super artificial and powdery tasting. I love chai and I love pumpkin and unfortunately my love for those two things didn’t blend well together. As the other reviews say, you should probably just stick to the plain coffee.

I was hoping for the powerful Major Dickason’s Blend of the left coast. Instead I got hints of that fine roast, diluted to McCafe strength. The folks from Berkeley need to be more active in training and maintaining standards at their E. Coast outposts. Alfred P would not be pleased…

This coffee I am going to say was actually worse than Starbucks(I’m Australian, thus a coffee snob). The latte was rediculously hot(I could barely hold evem with the cardboard buffer), rediculously flat(no thickness/light foam to the milk. It’s airport coffee, it’s chain coffee, I went in with low expectations and they still were not met.

Love Peet’s all the way. I got off the plane, and it’s the coffee I’m used to drinking in the west coast. It really is West Coast love San Francisco coffee. YEAH! Love. The pastries lack a little bit though, the pound cake should be more firm and breadier, but the coffee was a genuine strong brew just like back home. The store just needs to market more with a few signs and tell people about the coffee. Love NY more for welcoming a San Francisco chain. Thank you NY, hats off to the big apple.

So here’s what I’m thinking… it’s coffee at an airport served by a disinterested person who avoids eye contact of any kind and wants to make sure orders are taken as slllooooowwwlllyyy as possible, because it’s not like, you know, anyone has a flight to catch. So coffee, a bottle of water and a banana is about $ 84USD because you’re at an airport. Okay it was actually about 9 or 10 but still, it’s very overpriced. You could practially fly directly to Sumatra and pick some beans off the bush yourself at these prices! However, there are limited options here so as the kids say, you’re stuck.

All terrible everything except regular coffee. Get the Coffee only here and skip everything else. Dark roast is fairly strong and very flavorful. Food sucks, Latte and any other coffee drinks are horrible. Service is slow and the staff is like zombie robots here.

I’m a Cali girl, so Peet’s Coffee is a must. It would be a five star rating, but their prices are higher than Starby’s, sooooo… four stars.

One star for the coffee, zero for service. The employees clearly hate their jobs. We ordered an iced caramel latte which was good and an iced chai latte which was subpar. Breakfast sandwiches will cost you about 8-$ 10 each. Paninis are pre made so you can’t customize your order but then again this is inside of an airport terminal. Should we really have any expectations? Cashier: rude. She had an attitude the entire time and was annoyed throughout the entire transaction. My cinnamon raisin bagel scooped out with butter? Oh I’m attaching a picture to this review so you can see how delicious it was. Overall save your $ 20 and have breakfast at home prior to flying.

Simple coffee stand. A little more expensive. But not really that much more than for coffee at Starbucks. And the server was friendly.

Good coffee and good customer service. A bit slow, but friendly and decent prices. Not a bad option when there are no Starbucks to be found!

I love Peet’s and I am incredibly disappointed with my particular experience. The woman at the counter hardly paid any attention to me while I was ordering, didn’t ask me what type of milk I wanted and then when I asked her for a cup of water she said they didn’t have water. I said I only need a cup, not a bottle. She said no. I ask if they had a sink and she said yes and I said can I have water from the sink and she still refused me water! Unbelievable. I really do love Peet’s and I hope this sort this situation out soon.

Worthy of zero stars. I ordered a double macchiato. You know. Two shots and a little foam. I was handed a large cup full of steamed milk and two shots. I asked the lady, politely what this was, to which she said it was a macchiato. I said no and described what it was. She got really defensive and told me I was wrong and started to ring me up. $ 5.45! A macchiato is $ 2.60. I told her I didn’t want that drink and I wasn’t paying that much. She got really angry and got the managers, whom I might add, handled this wonderfully. Instead of berating the customer, she got me what I asked for and charged me appropriately. Problem solved. Name on the receipt was indrowti. May 22, 2014 at about 6pm

Peet’s is certainly no Starbucks, nor does it want to be. Instead it is a 24 hour spot that seems to be the only thing kicking at all hours in JFK’s one true International Terminal. I have scored many a latte here for my late nights in traveldom — they do the job, but not enough to ever really crave them. As a non-coffee /non-caffeine seeker, it feels painful to part with $ 5 for a hot drink that isn’t even that great. But like all things in JFK, beggers can’t be choosers. Hence, in the morning and peak travel hours, there are lines. If you’re here for anything but coffee, you’re in the wrong airport coffee stand. Food or any thing resembling something remotely edible is abysmal. Pananis, muffins, etc are marked up, bland, and a waste of carby space. Even the staff, as unethusiastic as really are, is unlikely to make any recommendations in hopes the day will end soon. Lastly, if you’re among the unfortunate who is here for a long layover or simply stranded at the airport, Terminal 4 is the one place where many travelers come to sleep. The middle area couches /chairs(no wifi, not enough group seats, etc.) turns into the the makeshift motel for JFK. Travelers after 11pm are passed out and folks will occupy whatever seat, cushion, space they can and by 2am it looks almost like a morgue with suitcases. But, at least there is something to drink. Thanks for being open Peet’s.

Was surprisingly pleased with my coffee this morning! Instead of the seasonal Iced Coconut Latte they offer, I requested it HOT — and it was perfection! I’ve never had Peet’s before, but wish I could get more of this coconut coffee in my life.

Three people behind the counter and two of them playing on their cell phones. All three in conversation and not moving much faster than a glacier. Uh, hello? Can I get an iced coffee today? My flight is boarding. Peet’s definitely makes a decent brew, but that is pretty much it here at this mini location. Not much to eat that I saw the other day and what they do offer is the basic overpriced unhealthy airport crap. Mediocre at best. No wonder the staff here looks like they would rather be someplace else. My iced coffee was okay but I actually thought Starbucks tasted better. More crap food options at the place next door but that isn’t saying much.

I agree with a previous review. It’s unfortunate, this place does not exemplify Peet’s Coffee– it’s a simple placeholder café in the airport. The line for this place was about 25 people long when I hopped on, it moved quick enough. Took me about 20 minutes to get my coffee. Coffee wasn’t great, kinda weak. Prices were *alright* for airport but, I know I’m going to get destroyed buying anything there. I got the yogurt parfait. It did the job but it wasn’t great, wish they had fresh fruit or something else.

Can we just reflect upon the fact that at 0900 hours on a Sunday morning, this Peet’s doesn’t serve any breakfast paninis. Only non-breakfast ones. Let’s think about this for a moment. Okay, I thought about it. And I officially hate it. Let’s also consider that the ham and swiss non-breakfast panini costs $ 9, vs. the ham, egg, and swiss breakfast panini(which, again, let me remind you, was not available) which –would– have been $ 8 had it actually been offered. Admittedly, my ham and swiss non-breakfast panini was huge and satisfying. Just not $ 9 worth of satisfaction. On the other hand… at least there’s no awful odor permeating the general vicinity of Peet’s(unlike the similar deli further down in Terminal 4) and the coffee is utterly acceptable…
