Went for breakfast. Friendly staff and the crab cakes benedict was very good. Went back a second day. My server was slow while another served her guests faster than me and another table near by. My server was very apologetic and very nice but needs to pick up her pace. Had the quiche and it was a bit dry. Served with a generous portion of hash browns and fresh fruits. Went back for a third time because it was the closest to where I was stating. This time the same two servers were working as the last time, but this time I got the faster one. Was seated, served, and out the door in less than 30 minutes.

So far walked in the door and waited to be seated about 10 minutes with my 82 year old mother. Reservation made the day before wasn’t written down. Placed order at 9:10, received food at 9:20. My 82 year old Mom didn’t get her waffle. Was told the waffle iron wasn’t working. At least they offered her the meal free. The pineapple garnish was so old it was fermented and gave the potatoes sitting on it a nasty flavor. My wife’s pineapple garnish looked like it as candied it was so old. My eggs were nicely cooked and the chicken fried steak was delicious. My son ate all of his breakfast, crab eggs Benedict.

Food was so good here! The service was great too! It was around brunch time when we came to eat and though it looked busy, we were seated rather quickly. Our waiter was great at helping me make choices from the menu and told me right away the items that were vegan on their menu. I couldn’t decide between the Vegan French Toast or Tofu Scramble, and since I wasn’t dining alone, I decided to order both(yes, the inner fat kid was calling my name). I was not disappointed! Not only was the food served quickly, but presented nicely, it tasted so damn good! I am so happy I order both because they were both so delicious. I was able to take a to-go box for my leftovers and ended up eating them on the plane, so it was so worth it! If you are vegan, just make sure to give the server a heads up and they’ll make sure things are to your liking. My friend ordered the quiche and she really liked her dish as well. The serving size was generous too, so you won’t leave hungry!

Beautiful, clean breakfast spot the locals recommend. Attentive, pleasant service. Creative food discussions going on within the staff. Great food presentation. Free WiFi available.

I love the Sandpiper Café! This is hands-down my favorite breakfast place — but the lunch options are excellent too. The atmosphere is warm and bright, but it can get a little hot inside. The menu has a wide variety, and they always have daily specials. It is not your typical greasy spoon breakfast spot. You can get some unique meats for burgers. My only complaint about the restaurant is the price(for some items), and that the food comes out slightly different each time. The food is always good, but sometimes the portion and ingredients seem to differ.

A friend ordered the breakfast burrito. It was huge and he greatly enjoyed it. I ordered the eggs benedict with a side of potatoes. It was delicious. I enjoyed it so much, that I went back another morning for breakfast. I again ordered the eggs benedict but unfortunately, i crunched on an egg shell. The waitress offered to get me another order of the eggs but it just turned me off, so I just nibbled on the potatoes. I was rather surprised and disappointed when the bill came and I was charged for an order of potatoes. Good training would have indicated that the order should have been comped.

Thank you Eli for your great service, hospitality, and recommendations. We absolutely loved the good vibe and delicious– flavorful food. Everything about Sandpiper had us coming back for more during our vacation. We definitely will be back.

First and foremost — Food here was great! Ordered the crab cake Benedict and the crab did not disappoint! So good! Side potatoes were good too. I would have given it 5 stars, but my poached egg was just about hard boiled. Service was outstanding. Waitresses were friendly and helpful. My 4-star rating is also reflective of the price. A little expensive for breakfast. But if you treat it like brunch, then it’s not so bad.

This place was crazy awesome. I was salivating all over the menu, and my friend ate here twice in 3 days. Very chill, but warm ambiance in a shopping center just a little ways outside of the downtown blocks. We ate breakfast. Or tried to. The portions were very generous, so there was plenty left over. I had the mandarin and mascarpone French toast, and everything on the plate was delicious. I thought they might have been a little heavy with the cheese(a bit overpowering), but t had great flavor. The bacon was thick & juicy, and orange juice was fresh-tasting. She had a latte with her chicken-fried steak and biscuits & gravy. The biscuits seemed a bit stale, but still pretty good all-around. Would DEFINITELY eat here again. Keep it up! :)

I like this place for lunch. Twice now I’ve had their burgers and they were fantastic. Today I tried the bacon and blue cheese burger and it was delicious. They make a very sizable burger which was cooked perfectly. The thick bacon and blue cheese made for a messy but exceptional burger. Service was nicely paced and timed. Décor is nice too. Overall, I’d go back anytime.

The food and staff are fantastic. But it does get very hot inside so don’t dress too warm. The wait staff is very helpful and are good about making small changes or substitutions to any entrée. You want a rabbit burger with cheddar and bacon? No problem! You want a Salmon omelette with spinach? No problem! You want fruit and yogurt? No problem! They serve lunch and breakfast during all business hours.

They really do have the best breakfast and brunch in town. The food is exquisitely delightful. The staff are polite, helpful and not at all pushy. I’ve had the SouthWestern Omelette, Belgian waffles, and pancakes. The place only serves breakfast and lunch and closes by 2pm. Be sure to get there early for Brunch if you want a table, because it packs up soon.

FIVESTARS for breakfast! Casual local place, neat, clean, bright and inviting. Friendly staff. But here’s the real reason for going to Sandpiper: Go for the food. I challenge anyone to find another restaurant in this class to provide a better breakfast! Scratch made food that will not disappoint. We were a group of 7 people and almost all of us had something different. So I could see and taste a variety of what their kitchen produces. AAAAA+++++ I will never forget their pancakes. We didn’t go back for lunch, but wish that we did. I bet their lunch offerings are just as delicious. Instead we paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars at Tracy’s Crab Shack. Go to Sandpiper Café and be happy.

Service sucks, but the food is good. It used to be my fav breakfast place in Juneau. Staff changes a lot and our waiter NEVER came back to see if we wanted more coffee.

Delicious and fresh! My curiosity got the best of me and I had to have a sourdough ricotta pancake and I was glad I did. My husband and I split one. Good thing we were hiking all morning so we were really hungry because the servings are huge! My main dish was the cheddar bacon chicken burger(no actual burger) with waffle fries. Very good! My husband said the biscuits and gravy was great too.

Heard raves about this place from many locals in Juneau so had to check it out. Went a little late for breakfast around 10am but only had a 5 minute wait. Host and servers were real nice and friendly. Ordered the crab benedict, the corned beef hash and a denver omelet. Everything was very good and the prices reasonable by Juneau standards. The omelet was cooked perfectly, the ham and cheese nice and tasty. Hash browns crispy. Tip: instead of toast we had biscuits, which are made here. They were real good. Nothing to complain about here — we’ll probably come back tomorrow.

My corn beef hash was perfectly crispy, lean and not greasy. There was no room for improvement. My rye toast was buttered — why? Place the butter on the side or have server ask — would you like your toast buttered? Its ridiculous, why not put ketchup on my eggs, salt my cantaloupe or cream and sugar my coffee without my request. Brad’s chicken fried steak was not fresh, breading was not crisp; this was obviously thawed and heated. The gravy was good. The potatoes were delicious and the bread is very fresh. They buttered his toast without asking. The service was affected mostly because they are understaffed. Our waitress, dark hair, did not come through with a side of fresh fruit for Brad’s order. I wanted a side of French Toast and that could not be done. Guests that were seated after us were served food and finished their meal, left the restaurant before we had our order taken. Our waitress apologized and gave us a 10% discount. I rather have better service and will check out other restaurants first before returning.

Was just here for breakfast and lunch with a customer. Overall the food was a solid 4, but I deducted a point for service. Simply abysmal during both times. Had to flag someone down to refill all my beverages at both meals. Food was great, waffle fries were fantastic, salsa for the breakfast burrito was great. Seriously though. Service? Tempted to not come back here again.

Came in for breakfast again, decided to try the cheese and mushroom omelet, grilled Yukon potatoes with green onions, rye brad and bacon. You can’t get perfection every time. This place is so good, however a little seasoning on the mushrooms and in the eggs, would go along way and make this meal amazing. Season the mushrooms before you cook them and you guys have nailed it!

You know it’s going to be good when you can’t decide what to order. We got the quinche and the French toast. The quinche said side of Yukon gold potatoes and fresh fruit. We weren’t expecting a whole potato chopped and cooked to perfection in a griddle but that’s what we got. Even better was the fruit– a whole banana, a whole apple, a half cup blueberries, and a couple satsumas all displayed beautifully. The French toast was moist and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The waitress was so friendly. You hardly ever find a restaurant that looks nice and serves nice food. This place was beautifully decorated and the food was absolutely delicious. We’ll be back!
