Breakfast, lunch and dinner served 6 days a week, we also feature a wide selection of pastries and desserts from our own bakery. We strive to make as much of our food from scratch as we can, and focus on local produce and seafood, but only if it is fresh and in season.

The dinner menu changes often, sometimes everyday, and we strive to prepare new and exciting dishes for you to try at prices that can allow you to try lots of new things.

History

Established in 2010.

The Rookery Café is located in the Historic Valentine Building in Juneau Alaska. Come get a cup of coffee in the same building that the Bird Man of Alcatraz was arrested in!

Meet the Business Owner

Travis S.

Business Owner

25 year Juneau resident Travis grew up in the coffee business, spending years in cafes, and moving through production coffee roasting, and management of a wholesale division of a local coffee roasting company. after 13 years in business for others, he decided to go back to the roots of it all, and own a coffee house of his own. Risking it all for exquisite dopio’s and fresh croissant, and never looking back.

2013 brought the addition of dinner to the services offered at The Rookery Café, and that is due to the addition of a very talented kitchen staff under the direction of Chef Beau Schooler. Look here for fresh takes on old favorites, or to try wild creations you would never think to make at home.
