Honu You Hawaiian Spa

This is my second visit to this place to purchase Jane Iredale makeup. Unfortunately, this will be the last time.
I walked in to purchase the makeup and realized I was given the whole compact instead of the refill. $ 52 versus $ 40 is a big difference.
Sad to say the owner refused to refund me my money. Saying «they don’t refund Jane Iredale». I just left your office 5 minutes ago!! What lousy customer service !!! I can’t comment on their actually services but I can tell you how disappointed I was to receive this type of poorly lack of customer service. Also, the parking sucks!

Today was my first time back in a few years. Absolutely loved my experience here with Jen! (Doing a Brazilian) She made me feel so comfortable an as an expecting mother, she made sure I was comfy at all times. Finding someone you are completely ok with being in your business is a must! Although she did not accept my tip, the least j could do was leave a review on how my experience was. Definitely will be back when I give birth! Thank you Jen :)

I sent my mom to Honoyou for a facial while she was visiting last year. I’ve taken my mom to the spa before and she didn’t care for the experience– she’s uncomfortable having strangers touch her. I was surprised when she loved her facial and raved about Riane. I started seeing Riane for monthly facials shortly after that. I’ve been having issues with breakouts and a monthly session really helps. Super great place, book an appointment, you won’t be disappointed.

Had a great massage from Sarah today. The atmosphere was relaxing and everyone super nice. I highly recommend Honu Hawaiian You Spa!

I highly recommend Honu You! The owners & staff are very professional & friendly, you automatically feel at ease when you walk into their spa. I had a Tini Kini done by Riane. She did a great job & made me feel very comfortable the whole time. It was painless! I will be back for sure

Very happy with my Honu You experience! Staff was friendly, décor was nice, and price was very reasonable. Sara (h?) gave a fantastic massage after a brief chat about my condition and preferences. I would definitely come back in a heartbeat the next time I am in town!

Very happy with my message. I had thrown out my back 3 days before and was just starting to get out of bed. Corey was excellent and although I’m usually pretty ticklish, provided a therapeutic and comfortable Lomilomi message. This is my first time, and I will return! My wife goes there on occasion for waxes and recommended the shop. Aloha.

Wonderful facial today! There are times during other facials at other places where the esthetician has applied a mask or other product and told me she would be back in a few minutes as the product needs 5 mins or so to work. At Honu You, Riane stayed with me to do a scalp massage while the product was working! She was wonderful. Honu You is extremely client focused. They pay attention and remember your preferences, are always waiting for you, and are great at communicating with you if there is a change in schedule. They have been very accommodating of my last minute requests. It’s wonderful to have such a great day spa so close to home!

So… Went here for my first Brazilian and was not disappointed.
I called on new years day trying to get a last minute appointment. I called several other places, perhaps they were closed or busy, but I got no response.
They answered my call on the third ring which I really appreciated. I hate waiting on the phone when I know someone is open!
It is a bit pricey, but tax is not added to them and there is a no tipping policy. What you see is what you get.
They walked me through and even recommended the best time to get waxed so as to reduce sensitivity. I can tell they care about their customers and business.
Everyone seemed very professional and I would definitely recommend this place and go back there again!

I am home for the holidays and respite care and found this hidden gem in Kailua. I was the most wonderful facial and reflexology session. Both of my technicians had a wonderful healing touch and when I left I felt renewed. I can recommend this place enough. For the wonderful service it was priced right and I like the policy of no tipping.

Took my 82 year old grandma here today for a lip wax, and she loved it. She kept telling me how the lady not only waxed her lip once but about three times just to make sure all the little hairs were gone. Instead of a quick in and out service… my grandma was in there for about 20 mins which tells me that the lady took her time and did her best. The staff at the front desk was very kind. They offered us beverages and candy. They also went above and beyond to get her in so that we didn’t wait too long. Kindness is really important for me especially since my grandma is elderly. We will be coming back! Thank you for such a great experience.

First off, I did not book an appointment in advance but I was so happy that they could fit me into their schedule. The massage was amaaaazing! I promise you, this is the place to go. Definitely recommend! I’m looking forward to coming back & will definitely tell my friends about my experience here.

Honu You — a lovely spa experience
My appointment was easy to make online, though I could not use my gift card to pay online (more about that later).
The spa was easy to find and metered street parking was not a problem. I had a 1 hour massage followed by a Citrus pedicure. The therapist greeted me at the door and showed me to the massage room. The ambiance was relaxing. The therapist used a lot of pressure on my back and shoulders but she eased up when I asked. Her massage technique seemed a little disjointed or asymmetrical, which is why I’m not giving 5 stars.
The pedicure was nice (no tub, just hot towels: less water waste!) and the color selection was slightly limited but they offered a color I liked. My toes still look great, two days and an afternoon boogie boarding later.
One of the nicest features is that the price quoted for services is the price you pay. Tax and tip are included. Note that if you are using a gift card (I was), no change is given (not even in spa credit). So plan how you will pay if your total doesn’t exceed your gift card amount. For example, if you have a total bill of $ 125 and have a $ 100 gift card and a $ 50 gift card, you will not get $ 25 in «change». I paid cash (as per the suggestion of the gentleman at the counter) and saved my remaining gift card for the next time I go!

I have to say, for my first time here, I was impressed. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an older gentleman who very politely asked what I needed and I told him a waxing service. There was another client there so I didn’t wanna say right away what I was getting waxed, but he asked out loud what kind and I felt like I had to tell him. It definitely would have been embarrassing if I was getting a Brazilian and had to say it in front of this client and little girl. Anyways… so within seconds I had his associate Jennifer take me into one of the rooms and she had me fill out a form and waiver. She was very nice and made me feel at ease, being my first time here. The wax job was one of the best I’d ever had. She used this wax that needed no strips and it was amazing! No pain whatsoever and I was very happy with the results! I didn’t get red at all or anything. After the waxing, she told me about other services they offered and even gave me some free samples. What great service! I’m definitely coming back here. Even walking to my car the gentleman remembered my name and asked how my service was.

Honu You has delivered the best spa experience I’ve had in a long time. I recently visited the spa as a new client to use a gift certificate. From the first phone call booking the appointment to the moment I walked out the door after receiving services, I was treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
It was quick and easy to schedule my appointment, and on the day of the appointment when I needed to call and tell them I would be a few minutes late, Jennifer was gracious and quick to reassure me it would be all right.
When I entered the spa, both Stacey and Jennifer made me feel very comfortable and welcome, exemplifying the aloha spirit. In fact, when I told them I would likely need to duck out partway through my visit to feed the parking meter, Jennifer immediately offered to do it for me even though I was parked a couple of blocks away. She definitely went above and beyond the call of duty on that!
I had a «relaxation facial» and «kua lomilomi» (back massage) with Stacey. Both services were so wonderful and relaxing that I wanted to go straight to bed afterward! The spa itself was intimate, nicely appointed local style, and there was soft kī hō’alu (slack key) music playing, making the space a tranquil oasis in the midst of busy Kailua Town.
Honu You offers a variety of facials, waxing, and lomilomi (massage), including a special hāpai (pregnancy) package. Prices are commensurate with other area spas. The spa is located in the heart of Kailua Town on Uluniu Street across from Kailua Square (where the popular Cinnamon’s restaurant is located). There is no parking lot available for their business, but metered street and lot parking are available nearby. Be sure to pay attention to the amount of time you are able to park in any given metered space (it can vary from one to three hours) and bring plenty of quarters!
Appointments can be booked online or, of course, by phone. The spa is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, closed Sunday and Monday. It doesn’t matter who you are – you will walk out of Honu You Hawaiian Spa feeling like a V.I.P.

This spa is amazing. You feel like a celebrity and everyone is so nice!!! I just had an amazing massage done by Stacey. She is able to target the tight areas while keeping you relaxed and in a near sleepy state!
Jennifer does a lot of the waxing. Ladies, if you’ve never had a Brazilian done or had a bad experience before check out this place! I promise you that you won’t be disappointed. Also the prices include gratuity. I’ve tired to tip before and they won’t accept it.
I won’t go any where else for my waxing and massage needs.

I have been coming to Honu You for several years now. Prior to coming to Honu You, I had a few facials that were okay and I bounced around between several salons for waxing. Once I had my first facial at Honu You, I was addicted. I continue to see results and feel like my skin is in better condition than when I was younger. Jennifer is phenomenal with waxing and I will not let anyone else come near me with wax! Even after moving to Makakilo, I continue to make to Kailua!

I used to drive all the way to town for my waxing needs, but with two (soon to be three) kids who go to school on the windward side while I also work on the windward side, it started getting really inconvenient! I was nervous going to someone new at first… but Jennifer’s warm welcome put me at ease! She truly knows what she’s talking about and really takes care of you! Her work is amazing! I have yet to try the facials, and massages, although I’m sure it’ll be amazing!

I’ve been going to Honu You for several years now, and it never disappoints. Corey and Jennifer are great people and are very welcoming.
Let me just say that no one does brows and brazilians better than Jennifer! I’ve had many bad experiences at other so called reputable places here and on the mainland, and when I finally found Honu You, I was thrilled that my search for a great waxer is over.
Jennifer is in high demand so book your appointments ahead of time. You won’t be disappointed! I always recommend her to my friends!

I Loved this place, But when I experienced first hand how they handled the departure of an employee it became awkward. And very unprofessional.
You don’t tell the CUSTOMERS the details as to why a certain employee isn’t their anymore reguardless of the situation, nor do you bad mouth the employee when they cant defend themselves. I became extremely uncomfortable with the conversation and decided that this was not the place for me. I found where their former employee went to and I patron her new establishment instead.
