History

Established in 2010.

In November 2010, I decided to stop saying, «One day I’m going to…» and took out the list of business ideas I began jotting down since 2006. As I reviewed the list, I decided on a business I could start while continuing to work my full-​time job – a Christian bookstore. The original idea is to open a brick and mortar bookstore in the urban core of Kansas City, Missouri, but to build a customer base I launched an e-​commerce site– www​.one​body​bookandgift​.com.

I have 20 years of experience in church ministry, community service, and project organization; 11 years of ongoing federal service; and 5 years of retail experience. I started an online business as a forerunner to a mobile or brick and mortar bookstore in the urban core of Kansas City, Missouri. With this business, I encourage the importance of reading, spiritual growth and the celebration of African-​American culture.
