Alicia is a lifesaver and deserves way more than 5 stars! I had super long hair but after 10+ years of managing it, I was ready for a change. I went to my regular stylist at another local salon (who shall not be named) ready to make the cut, and she totally butchered my hair. I cried every day for a week and decided I needed to see someone else. I found Rain & Co. on Unilocal and made an appointment online with Alicia. She was beyond amazing! I sat down in tears explaining to her what had happened and she immediately reassured me that she would fix it. We immediately connected and I was so thankful for her compassion and her ability to not only fix a bad cut, but give me back the confidence I had lost! I’m seeing her again next week for bayalage and I am so excited! Don’t think twice about booking here, it is full of talented and amazing people like Alicia!!! Alicia, if you ever see this, words can’t express how thankful I am! I will tell everyone I know how awesome you are!

I recently got my hair done again by Misty. She is the absolute best. I love her. If you want to feel brand new, like a new person, and ready to be amazed then schedule with her. She has been on point and delightful each and every time!

Misty is an amazing hair stylist. I moved here over a year ago, and had no idea where to go for my hair. I’m very picky, when I find someone who knows what they’re doing, I’ll continue for years seeing them. I asked a friend I met where she had her hair done, her hair looked fantastic. She told me about Misty, ever since that day I am hooked. I highly recommend this salon to others.

This review is specifically for Ashley Brizzi.
I have been seeing Ashley for many years now and her skillfulness in doing hair never fails me. There is no stylist that I trust more than this girl. I’ve had my horrible share of experiences where I tell the stylist what I want and get something completely different. Ashley will not steer you wrong.
Rain & Co is located relatively close to Kent Station. Although there is no parking lot for it, there is a good amount of street parking that you can find around the block. It’s a very clean and modern looking salon and you will feel more than comfortable upon arriving. You can book your appointments easily online and find all the prices online as well. Easy and convenient!
I came to Ashley in the Summer when I wanted to cut off all my long hair. I have always had long hair and I just wanted a change, albeit that I was extremely nervous. Ashley was very gentle with my hair and made sure I was comfortable as she cut off each inch. We even got to a point where she started cutting in ½ inch increments. She was so patient with me as I nervously adventured in the land of short hair. The final result was seen on the ground; 14 glorious inches of hair and a brand new hairstyle on my head. I was so shocked (I mean, it had been 10 years since I had had short hair) but I was really loving the change and the light feeling on my head. Ashley made this new transition easy and painless for me.
Ashley is also wonderful at coloring hair and styling hair as well. I came in on my birthday to get my hair styled up for dinner. I knew I wanted it to look nice, but I didn’t know how I wanted my hair to look. Should I go with a nice under-​curl look, or go for some bouncy curls/​waves? Ashley was able to show me both looks on either side of my head so that I could compare (which was extremely helpful!). She washed my hair (and gave a great little head massage while she was at it), and got right into styling. The result: beautiful, wavy curls that prepared me for my night out!
She is honestly the type of person who wants to do what YOU want. She will never do anything outside of what you want and gives great advice and recommendations as well. She listens extremely carefully and makes sure to check in with you about how things are looking. You should never be afraid to speak your mind with her because she is so incredibly open and understanding.
No matter how long your appointment is, you will enjoy conversing with her. There is never a dull moment and I feel like I am constantly laughing with her. She’s so personable and at the end of the appointment, you’ll feel like you just made a new best friend.
Trust and communication are the two most important things you need to have with your stylist and I can say that without a doubt, Ashley will securely give you both!

Ive been a client of Alicia for 10 years. She is amazing. I’m driving 3 hours now for her and when I move to Texas this summer, I’m tempted to fly in for her. She is worth it! I’ve had short hair, I’ve had long hair, blond or dark — it’s always been good hair. I trust her completely and never doubt that what we come up w together will make me beyond happy. Trust in a hair person is really hard to come by! Not once have I ever left anything less then thrilled! Her highlights last forever because she starts them right at the roots and her years of expertise show in how good they are! But best of all — she is an amazing and sweet and wonderful person and has become a dear friend over the years! Book ahead because as soon as her secret is out she’ll be hard to get in with!

The cut I got didn’t really do much for my hair, and afterward I still had dried and split ends! There was no friendly greeting upon arrival, I guess they save that for the regulars. Cute interior and I love that they use Bumble and Bumble products, I just wish the haircut matched. I might try a different stylist next time, or just a different salon.

Mandy is amazing! It’s hard to find a stylist that really understands what you want but Mandy always gets it! I would totally recommend seeing her for all your hair needs!

Misty is fantastic! I have been going to the same stylist for 15 years and decided I needed a change. After being referred by a few friends I tried her out. She is a wizard! If you are looking for an attentive stylist that listens and works with your needs you need to give her a try! She is a master of her trade!

I started going to Ashley Brizzi when she worked for Hairmasters so naturally I followed her after she left. She’s the only person that I trust my hair and eyebrows to. This time around I asked for her to take the remaining bleach out of my hair (the last time I saw her we dyed the under part of my hair purple) and to match up the length (I had an asymmetrical bob) so I looked good for the wedding I was going to. Ashley never disappoints! She really listens to what you want and offers her feedback. And you can really tall to her about anything and everything. If you’re looking for an amazing and personable stylist go see my big sister from another mister Ashley!

Being new to the Kent area, locating a great stylist can be a terrifying endeavor, especially when you want to get your hair chopped off AND change your color! I saw multiple Unilocalers recommending Misty at Rain & Co. I love how I was able to get in to see her right away – made my appointment on Saturday for the following Tuesday and I’m so glad I did! Misty was wonderful! She took the time to really listen to what I wanted done with my hair, and explained what she was doing throughout the whole transformation process. She also took the time to show me how to style my shorter cut, how to achieve those beach waves I’ve been wanting by using the flat iron. The toner she used on my hair to get it close to my natural brunette shade looks fabulous!
Negative side is that it was hard to get someone on the phone when trying to book an appointment; however, that problem is now eliminated because I can reach Misty directly on her cell to book appointments, ask questions, etc. and she is good about responding! :)

My coworkers had told me that I HAD to see Misty at Rain and Co. and after a few months I finally decided to go. I was hesitant at first because I had never really been completely satisfied with any haircut, and had accepted that maybe no one would ever be able to cut my straight, slick, thick Asian hair.
From the get-​go Misty was very friendly and welcoming and made me feel right at ease. She cut my hair with scissors, NOT razors, and I could immediately see the difference. My hair looked fresh and healthy, not frizzy and dry. Misty listened to what I wanted, went slowly and checked in with me frequently to make sure things were going okay, and was very careful and meticulous in her work.
The first time she colored my hair, the color that I originally picked turned out lighter than I had anticipated. I tried to get used to it, but after two days I called her asking if I could get it changed. Not only was she happy to do so, but did it free of charge, saying that it was her utmost priority that her clients were happy, something I have NEVER heard a stylist say, and truly mean! I have recommended her to at least 3 of my friends and they have all come away raving about how amazing Misty is!
I have gone to Misty for over three years now, for haircuts, highlights, balayage, bang trims, and eyebrow waxing, and I leave feeling beautiful every time! I am VERY picky when it comes to my bangs and Misty does them (side-​swept) perfectly!

I have been going to Misty at Rain & Co for years, she is THE BEST, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I am the type to change my hair up quite frequently and I’ve never received more compliments than I do now! She is up to date with styles and techniques and above all actually listens to the client. I have referred her to many friends and my entire family goes to see her. Whether it’s a cut, color, style, waxing, this girl does it all. Misty is the best and we will continue to go to her, her personality, demeanor, everything — TOP NOTCH! You will not be disappointed.

I found Chi by pure luck! I’m new to Kent. I googled and found Rain & Co. I have gray hair but am fighting it as much as possible. I asked Chi if she could choose a blonde tone that would most go with my skin tone. She is more then knowledgeable. She is a gem here at this salon and anyone would be lucky to have the opportunity to have Chi create beauty with them. She is moving out of this salon and I will definitely be following her. Her new salon is called THE MERIDIAN SALON.

After reading the reviews here and on the website, I made my appointment with Misty. First, shes amazing! I went from this blah black/​blue color to this gorgeous highlighted color. She put so much dimension in my hair and made it look amazing again! Shes incredible! It was really difficult for me to find another hair stylist after two other high end salons totally messed up my hair, but WOW, I am sooo glad I did! I adore Misty and her skills. Not only is she amazing with my hair, she really enjoys what she does. Her personality is also so amazing! Great energy! Cant wait for my next appointment!

I have to give 5 stars… Chi was EXCELLENT! She is top notch, so sweet and my hair looks amazing! I will go back to see her every time. The salon itself is very relaxing and inviting, everyone in there seemed to be so comfortable and enjoying themselves. I called for a last minute appointment as a brand new client and she didn’t hesitate to book me. She looked at the picture examples of what I wanted and it came out exactly right. I just LOVEd it!

So let me start by saying that I change my mind faster then Lindsay Lohan goes in and out of rehab, and I can’t imagine the frustration that puts on my hair dresser. Misty, consistently gives me what I want regardless of what she has to do to get there. I went from brown with blonde highlights, to red red, to red purple, to ombré, to purple. She is honestly the most talented, patient and kind hair dresser I have EVER had! I couldn’t be more pleased with my hair these days, and I know that’s due to her!!! Thanks Misty! XOXO!

Misty is the only one I see at Rain Co in kent. She is AMAZING. She has been doing my hair for YEARS. I have recommended her to all of my friends and atleast 11 have made the switch. She is charming, witty, friendly, gives amazing advise on looks and products and she is more than just a stylist to myself and my friends. I promise you will NOT be disappointed. Even if you saw her once, you’d be addicted. I cannot stress to the public enough how absolutely fabulous this woman is and how well she knows her craft!
