We are an RV Park in the beautiful redwood area of Northern California, one mile from the ocean on the west side of Highway 101 in Klamath, eighteen miles south of Crescent City. On the 32-​acres we have 100 pull through hooks, water and electric sites, and many tent sites. Direct TV, free wifi, and hot showers! The pool is heated and game areas include horseshoes, volleyball, tether ball, and a children’s playground. Dogs are amongst our very best friends. It’s the perfect launching spot for day trips to the many national and state redwood park areas, numerous hiking and biking trails, and a half dozen beautiful ocean beaches that align the Pacific Ocean. Make this the destination for all of your family to enjoy!

History

Established in 1975.

Started many years ago by a dairy rancher, the 32 acre park has developed over the years into one of the première RV camping locations in Northern California. It has had several owners over the past 25 years and was recently purchased by George and Elizabeth Badasci who live on a small ranch west of Cottonwood, California. The couple brought an understanding of good business practices and a desire to provide excellent customer service to their new project which they purchased during the summer of 2015.

With 30 years in the advertising business Elizabeth recently sold out. She and her husband George were looking for an opportunity to do something special. George has over 50 years in retail businesses and the combination of the couple’s expertise promises to bring the level of customer service up.

Location! Location! Location! We wanted a big Redwood Adventure and found it at the Camper Corral in Klamath. It’s located in the center of camping paradise. There’s some awesome hikes from the campground. One is to the Tour Through Tree where they just filmed the Geicko Commercial and another is to the 101 bridge at the River. The bridge is great for photography at sunrise. There’s a cool hike on the campground land that takes you under the bridge. Make sure you go tide pooling at Patrick Point, SP. Go surfing at Crescent City. Walk along and look at the driftwood on Klamath Beach, Whale watch at Requa Road overlook, Catch the sunset at Trinidad beach, Mountain bike the Redwoods NP on the last chance coastal trail, Photograph the elk, and hike in fern canyon where they filmed Jurassic Park 2. The park was clean and staff is very friendly. We had service with Verizon and fit our 44 ft Toy Hauler easily.

Beautiful park! Came at the end of the season, (Early November) most other parks were closed or closing for the season however the Klamath Corral was open and assuming to all of our needs. The second we pulled up the owners themselves were there to greet us and help get our trailer parked and unhooked from the vehicle.
The park itself was very clean and well manicured with all and more amenities than you could ever expect while on a camping expedition. Exceptionally clean bathroom and shower facilities. Nice playground area with swings, slides, heated pool (which was open however we did not use) recreation area complete with foosball table, two pool tables and a table tennis table. This entire park is completely covered with lush green manicured grass including the trailer parking and tent camping areas. This is a must see park and I would strongly recommend it to everyone… U won’t be disappointed!

We’ve stayed here twice. Very nice setting. Great playground and barn play area for the kids. I believe they had a cafeteria in there too. Easy access to 101 and to Redwoods. Trail has been cut out to get to Klamath River but we’ve never walked the entire trail due to mud.
Saw the bear a few years ago when fish was left out at the cleaning counter. He came out when it was dark and very quiet, took the fish bones out of a bucket, ate it, and went right back into the berry bushes. We saw him as our RV window was facing the fish area — but all our lights and neighbors lights were out. It was awe inspiring.
New owners keep the area very clean but the bear had been there a week before.
I would just prefer that all RV sites near the bear’s area be kept free of tents and RVs. Old owner did that. The bear and at one time a bear family, have been there a LONG time. I’d prefer we make sure the bear has plenty of space. The bears stay in their area, but we should respect that it’s been their home for a long time. I think it’s wonderful, but am also cautious and appreciated the old owner keeping all sites away from the known bear walkways.

Were here for two evenings this past week and overall had a positive experience.
Positives were that it was available for a tent even though we did not have a registration, which is no small feat this time of the year. With the location being right off 101, very easy to get on and off wherever you are going, service was friendly, and they have a lot of fun activities, such as heated pool, basketball court, ping pong, and playground for kids. A black bear comes out nightly looking for food, that was fun to see also.
Negatives, with being close to 101, you get a lot of evening noise. It also gets very windy here, especially in the afternoon, which made/​keeping up a tent a bit challenging.
